    Sohan & Sons Waterproofing Co
Words can't even begin to express how satisfied and impressed we were with the work Sohan and Sons did. Josh, Bishop and Mike were very professional, hard-working, and took pride in their work. They installed a sump pump and basin, and installed two new downspout lines running PVC to the backyard. All work came with a lifetime, transferable warranty. After having heavy rains the last week, not one drop of rain came into our house! After YEARS of dealing with a wet basement, these gentlemen rectified the problem!! Another company gave us an estimate of $21,000. Sunjeet did it for $2250! A very special thanks to Sunjeet, his crew, and his company for doing such an outstanding job!!

    Don's Concrete Lifting
He was quick to respond, professional, was prompt for appointment, gave good advice and reasonable estimate. Came on time for the job, worked quickly, leveled everything, cleaned up well. There's nothing more we could ask for.

    Basement Boost / Bath Boost
I described the work in writing and on the phone with Amy. Daryl showed up promptly and I showed him the corner, he replied easy fix. He wanted to inspect the rest of the house and I informed him that I only wanted this corner fixed. He then said his company couldnt do this job, I ask him to leave. This was thru Home advisor. Crawlspace Doctor
Josh was very friendly and knowledgeable. He made the process a breeze. They were able to install a high quality vapor barrier, foam board insulation around the border of my crawlspace, as well as a sump pump (his recommendation) in a matter of 2 days and did a wonderful job. I have no complaints whatsoever. If you have a crawlspace in need of a vapor barrier or insulation, I highly recommend calling Josh!

    Distinctive Design Remodeling
We used DDR to finish our basement, which included a home office, a multi-purpose room, a full bathroom, and multiple
storage areas.  We are very pleased overall with the quality of construction.  Since completion of the project we have had other professionals in to do decorating work, and all have commented that the quality of the work is very good.  The project was completed on a reasonable timeline.   There were a few times when a member of the crew felt that work completed by another crew member was not up to company standards, and they quickly pointed it out to us as well as the project manager so that the problem could be corrected immediately.   The electrician was especially good working with us on developing a lighting plan that would meet our needs, and we are very happy with the end result.  The crew that completed the cabinet installation and trim were also wonderful to work with.  The project manager was helpful in facilitating communication between the various contractors to keep with project on track.  He was responsive to our questions via phone and text when questions arose.  The only improvement could have been better communication regarding the specific timeline and when different phases were beginning.  There were a few times that we had notice the same day that we needed to be present to meet specific contractors who were starting their work to give our input.  We are excited to have our new lower level completed and look forward to many years enjoying the space.

    Basement Armor
Their price was the lowest of several bids and I was a bid skeptical, but Bryan (the owner) seemed very honest and responsive from that first meeting.  He did not try to pressure me into any decisions, but rather discussed my specific situation and tried to find the best solution for my budget.  The entire time he seemed open and receptive to my opinions. Once I decided to hire him for the job his crew was at my house within a week and the entire job took them three days.   They did show up a bit later than a typical contractor (around 9 or 10 am each day, but Bryan explained that this was because he takes his kids to school every morning). The only problem that I had was that the jack-hammering broke one of my old single pane basement windows, but we I brought it up to his crew foreman he immediately acknowledged that it was their fault and that it would be fixed before the job ended (which it was).  Brian also backed his work up with a transferable lifetime warranty just like any other company out there doing the same work for higher prices.

    Everdry Waterproofing of Cincinnati
They got the job done quickly. It's a very messy process. We had concrete dots all over everything. We had to wait for the concrete to settle before we would put things away. It's a struggle but they seemed to know what they were doing. I got a lifetime warranty for their work.

    Jolly Plumbing
I've had Jolly do work before-- some inside plumbing, and replacing the line from the house to the septic tank, so I was reasonably sure they'd do a good job..The day of the work I talked to the 2 guy crew and showed them what I was looking for; then headed for work..I was very pleasantly surprised when I got home.  They'd done a fantastic job-- more on the order of what I wanted rather than the rather sketchy details I had given them..The previous excavations were flattened.  The drainage ditch was cleared..The creek was beautiful!  Water now flowed through the bridge, rather than over it.  The bed had been widened and the gravel and rock moved to the outside of the curve.  The extra gravel had been moved to the uphill side part of the driveway heading towards the road, and the driveway had been flattened!   Wonderful!  The turnaround was flattened and ready to use!.A very well-done job to Jolly!

I had them out twice, once last fall, and all they did was fill in some cracks around the drain.  They were back this spring and the man looked at it and cleaned out the drain.  It is shallow and doesn't want to drain right and he said that all we should do is get a humidifier for the basement.  That doesn't work so when I called back and spoke to the supervisor he said that's all that they would do.  I said that I was going to report them to Angie's List and he was nasty and said be sure to give them the contract #.

    H Glasgow Construction Co
This company is not going to be the least expensive one to use for a home construction/remodel project. But, what you will find, if you use this company are people who listen to what your needs/wants are and provide you with their recommendations. They are highly professional. They are also very considerate in trying to clean up after their projects. When the project is finished, it will be well constructed. They often follow-up to be sure you are happy with the completed project. They have examples on their website with before and after photos of many of their projects.
