AChoice Home WarrantyNot to good at first the time to fix it was way too long, nobody would wait a week in summer to fix A/C. The issues that came were once Choice Home Warranty provided a company to service my A/C they would not let me use the reimbursement method and wanted me to wait a week while temperatures were above 85 degrees outside, the only reason I am still with your service is because of the help of the dissolution department. They fixed the issues and currently saved a customer from moving on to a different Home Warranty Company. Good job on there end.- Steve C.

I wanted to replace the 30+ year old unit before I built a closet around it and needed venting to the room that would be finished. BJ gave me a great estimate on my unit and the work. FI am extremely disappointed and feel scammed by this company. I had a sewer issue, and since they are well known and somehow (no idea how) have good reviews, I decided to go with them. They came out and put a camera down and said they found a root in the sewer. Great. I had them go ahead and do the repair and paid them FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS. We were fine for a couple weeks, then had the same problem again. I called them out and they told me there was another root down the line. It would be TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS to fix it. Called to have them snake the line again, and they refused. I called around to other plumbers. They told me they would have charged us $4,000 to replace the whole line. They also told me they thought the problems we were having were from the work that Tom Drexler did. They also told me they have to go behind and fix a lot of Tom Drexlers work. I called them to have them guarantee their work, and they refused. I paid them FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS, and they don't want to help fix the problem or guarantee their work. I absolutely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! They are supposed to be coming out next week to look at the problem again, after bothering them SO MANY times. So who knows what will come of that. I am hoping they will make the problem right, but don't have much confidence in them at all. Save your money and support a business who will stand behind their work. Hopefully I won't need to contact the BBB.

CWe got four bids, all for Trane equipment, and selected KY Energy Pro based on best price, $9,400 for a 20 SEER A/C and variable-speed blower system, and reviews. KY Energy Pro was the lowest bid by about $600. Summary: the price was good, installation poor, response to our only service call was good, response to all other issues non-existent. I don’t recommend them. Details below: 1. Installation was very sloppy. They didn’t clean up – there were loose screws all over the floor, the drain tube was installed at an awkward angle, and they didn’t tape any of the joints between the air ducts and the furnace or the furnace and condenser. The installer said someone would be out to inspect in the afternoon but no one came. We called them the next morning and they sent someone to clean up and tape the joints. I had the strong impression this would not have been done had we not called. 2. Our old furnace had a brand new blower in it (less than a week old). We were told the blower would be brought back but it never was. We called repeatedly and asked about this and were given various reasons (person was out of town, new owner, etc.) but never received the blower. 3. The thermostat reads 2 degrees high (compared to several other measurements). We were told someone would come out and fix it and no one has. 4. We had a problem with the air conditioning not coming on, or coming on after a few minutes and running for 1-2 minutes, not even enough for the blower to get up to speed, then shutting off. We called and KY Energy Pros sent someone out the next day and fixed a loose connection that resolved this problem. 5. We were told that our Nest thermostat would cause the blower to run backward and that we couldn’t use it with the new system. Based on this we bought the much more expensive ($400) Trane thermostat which has a poor touch screen, an unintuitive interface and does not allow the temperature to be set via an app. We called four or five times over a period of months and asked for a copy of the technical bulletin or other information that indicates that this is a problem with the Nest but have never received anything. 6. When the air conditioning is on there is a rattling sound, like some kind of plastic or foam parts rattling around in the furnace or in the ducts that can be heard from the master bedroom.

AIt went great as always. The technician, Tom, was very knowledgeable, efficient and polite. I can’t say enough about this company’s excellent service! We discovered Thompson’s Heating and Cooling this past winter when our furnace wouldn’t kick on——We called them for a second opinion and quote, after the first company we reached out to arrived “rushed” and noticeably confused as to what the problem actually was. In fact, the owner of the company himself, claimed that we needed three new parts totaling $1,500. Fortunately, we found Thompson’s! The price? $259 and only one new part! It turned out that the furnace was dirty and the gas valve was blocked. Need I say more. Thank you Thompson for your exceptional service!

DMichael was not wearing a mask when he came to my door on 11/4/2020. I had my mask on and asked if he could wear his. He immediately did so. He spent enough time at our home to answer all of my questions and seemed to do a thorough job of inspecting our roof. As we were discussing his findings, he unexpectedly removed his mask. During the final several minutes of our conversation, he did not put it back on. My wife and I decided that - regardless of the quality of his proposal - we would not do business with his company, because of Michael's failure to responsibly follow Covid social distancing protocol.
