FI was diagnosed with SOD in 2016. 3 years later, I am having the same issues. I explained to Dr. Dresner that I had the same exact issues 3 years ago. He proceeds to schedule me for an ECP to check for ulcers. Even though I know this is not an ulcer, I went in for procedure. After procedure he tells me that I don’t have an ulcer.(No duh!!!) He tells me that he will figure this out. So then he scheduled me for an MRCP the following week. He did not call me with results, so I called office today (3 days later). Everything is normal I was told. Office clerk tells me Dr. Dresner already filed my paperwork and that there is nothing else he can/will do. I am highly upset because1. you would think a doctor would call me with results and have a next step plan to figure this out. 2. Clearly there is something wrong with me, I’m not faking my symptoms. 3. The office clerk that I spoke with was very unprofessional. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Do not go to this doctor, he is in it for the money, not your well being. I have NEVER wrote a negative review about a doctor in my life. I have much respect for all doctors. This is the first time I have ever been treated this way.

AHad the colonoscopy and endoscopy at the same time, and the procedure went great. Jewish Medical Center Northeast was terrific and the process was painfree. One second I was casually talking with the nurse in the procedure room and the next I awakened to my husband's voice that I was and quot;back alreadyand quot;. After 30 minutes, we were heading home and I felt like I hadn't had anything done and fully alert. Highly recommend both the medical facility and the doctor.

AWarren, Dr. Frank N.Very thorough. Very kind and caring. Listened to my concerns and priorities. Always took the time to explain his recommendations.- Carol B.

AMakk, Dr. Laslo J K.The physician and the outpatient surgery center (Premier Surgery Center of Louisville, 614 E. Chestnut) were absolutely wonderful. HOWEVER: the office staff who set up the appointment for my husband were just terrible. The pre-procedure instructions they sent were contradictory and confusing, and had been copied so many times you could barely read them. When I called for clarification, it took 2 days for someone to call me back, and they were huffy with me. If I had not called, the prep would not have been done correctly. (In fact, anytime you call you get a voice mail with a message that someone will call back within 24 hours. Nice.) On arrival at the Surgery Center, we were treated with the utmost courtesy...and found that the the doctor's office staff had not sent us two documents that needed to be signed. The procedure was done promptly, all the nurses were caring and kind--smiles AND warm blankets! Dr Makk personally explained the results and provided copies of the photos he had taken. I cannot say enough good things about my husband's experience. HOWEVER (again), the billing office sent the bill to an insurance company that had been discontinued 2 years ago--even though I had given them the current cards. My husband isn't sure he wants to go back to Dr Makk because of the office staff, even though the actual experience was great.- LORRAINE M.

ACampbell, Dr. Lesley L.She is smart, precise, and very professional. She is very punctual, she is top notch all the way, and I haven't had any problems.- Betty N.

AHeine, Dr. Kevin JDr. Heine was very pleasant and was great about not rushing through my initial appointment. He listened to me and asked relevant questions. He did a great job on my procedure(s) and everything went well. Overall, I am pleased, and I will use him again. The poor grade in punctuality comes from two factors: 1) It is not uncommon to see the doctor more than 30 minutes after your appointment. At my last follow-up visit, I waited over an hour, and there was almost no one in the waiting room. 2) It took a very long time to get my results back. I was told I would have results within 2 weeks. 3 weeks and several phone calls later, I still did not have my results. I finally got my results over 3 weeks after the procedure, which is a long time to wait when you are worried about what they might find.- Jenny H.

ACampbell, Dr. Lesley L.She is fantastic. She is very thorough and she seems interested in what she is doing and I can tell that she loves her job. She is very caring with her patients and with me. I referred my mother to her and also a friend of ours that lives here and she goes to her as well. She has got the right bedside manner and she is gentle. I had to have an endoscopy and my mother has had to have an endoscopy and a colonoscopy as well as my friend and she was just very thorough. I feel totally and completely confident in her hands.- Tricia R.

ABailey, Andrew DI went to Dr Bailey this time because I had been having chronic diarrhea for several months. Dr Bailey had recently performed a colonoscopy for me, so that wasn't needed again. He took his time and discussed several possible causes and several options to choose from. I had a follow up visit by which time all was fine. His office staff is very nice and patient with questions.- Debbie A.

AGastro East PhysiciansI saw Dr. Barkley. She was excellent. She spent a lot of time with me taking my history, etc. When she did the endoscopy she spoke with me first not just the nurse. She went over everything with my husband immediately after. Then I was scheduled for a follow-up appt to discuss everything. She didn't just send it to my primary. I'm seeing her again this June.- Patricia B.

AJOHN M WODr. Wo is a reknown physician in the area of gastroparesis. He is respected as one of the best in this field. He is extremely thorough and is very direct in explaining procedures, results, and medications. At times, he doesn't have the best bedside manner, but he tells it like it is. I trust Dr. Wo, for he was the only one of 3 GI doctors that diagnosed my illness properly. My only complaint is with his nursing staff, not him. When leaving a message, the nursing staff is slow to respond and I often have to call back, sometimes several times, to receive an answer. However, the staff is always friendly, but I think a little overworked.- Beverly R.
