Not well. New tub damaged by contractor, said they would pay for repair...then said no. Cost for repair= $325. Contractor got sanded grout with sealer all over the tub. Requires wet sanding then buffing to restore finish. Overflow is crooked, I asked them to fix it as this is a soaker tub and that is what you will see everytime in the tub. They said they could not. Kohler rep arrives Monday to review. Kohler said they think it is an installation error. I will have confirmation Monday as well as cost to repair. Contractor was to install Windows. Received a text from window manufacturer that windows were in and contractor refused to pick them up and said they would not install them. I worked with mfg to install and paid balance on Windows. Total additional cost = $1,013 ($562 for unpaid window and $450 for window installation and trim). These windows were part of the original quote. Also part of the original quote was repair to the brick under one window. I will have a quote from another company to do this repair work Monday. 2 bathroom being remodeled. Tile from the master bath was mixed in and installed in the guest bath. Some of the tile in master bath shower have jagged edges and tiles were not installed level. They got sanded grout on ceiling of both bathrooms. The scrapped it off in master and gave me 3 razor blades to scrape it off myself in guest bath. Needed a door replaced in guest bath. They did replace it but the style is different than other doors in house so will have to be replaced again. We had met with the contractor and made an adjustment based upon changes . Insulation not put in when lighting installed. We wanted to hold back 20% until he completed the job. He needed more to pay his people and unfortunately we paid him all but $1000. Once I have all the repair quotes, I will send to him. When quoting the job, he sent me his awards form Angie's list. There were many more items that were done incorrectly, some he fixed and some he didn't. I think you need to revisit this contractor's rating. Approx cost for contractor $10,000 and we supplied most of the materialsaddle. Reno started 9-27. Still working through problems left by contractor.

It went very well. The installer was working by himself that week. He took his time and made sure I was happy with the end result. I didn't like they way the original trim looked, so he put new trim up. Even though he had a long day working by himself, he made sure I was happy with the end product.

Communicated via phone several times with service provider.  I was looking for an estimate for interior and exterior painting (all), powerwashing, drywall and seam repair, and refinishing the stairs banister and spindles in a 2500 sq ft home.  Made an appointment for the 16th initially, but told they were too busy to confirm a time and that the work would have to wait three or four months until they had time.  I was fine with that as this was a call to the business of a friend of a friend, I was spending time to get several bids on the project, and March (three months away) was when I expected to schedule the work anyway.  I was certain I would use this company, however, since I'm familiar with their work, their church, and their friends.  The day before the bid appointment, the secretary called once again to confirm the appointment and give me a time of 3-3:30 PM.  I was told whomever was coming was very busy and that was the earliest she could give me.  Again, that was fine.  I was asked again if I was sure I wanted the bid since they were so busy and couldn't get to it til March.  I confirmed.  On the day of the appointment, we waited and waited and waited.  We received no visitors, no calls, no knocks on the door.  We stayed downstairs near the front door and our very loud doorbell the from 8 AM through 9 PM.  There was no call attempting explanation (which leads me to hope that everything is OK!).  This is the third attempt to use a friend of a friend in this manner and the third time it's been a sore disappointment.   It won't be a consideration for us in the future.

We scheduled a visit with Tom for an estimate on repainting our deck. He arrived on time.  After looking at the deck he took a few minutes to make an unscheduled repair on our front door.  We've used his services in the past and will continue to use them in the future.

The job itself went really well. We have just, in the past year or so, have started having problems with the materials that they used. The materials have failed, the manufacturer has gone out of business, so there is no longer a warranty. The work that they did was fine, we were comfortable with them. It was just a matter of the products that they used.
They did good work. They were timely. I have no complaints.

Arrived on time.  Completed work with respect to the home.  Worked through some problems that arose due to the wiring at the house.  Originally I figured they would only replace the door but they said it would be better to just replace the whole door frame as well since it was already purchased, they didn't just try to do the easiest route.   During process one of the trim pieces was damaged but replaced with new.  Cleaned up after themselves.  Price remained as quoted even though I think it took longer than anticipated.

I have had great experiences with them. They gave me an estimate before the job started, which was very accurate. We also added other jobs while the work was being done. They do not sub contract the work. I had about three or two workers out to do the work. It is run like a professional business and they take great pride in their work. They are very honest and hardworking. They are very responsive and are good at sticking to the schedule set. What you pay you get in quality. They are limited by their small numbers, but they do high quality work.

My experience with them was good.  I thought that they were amazing actually listening to what I wanted and then making suggestions.  I had to rebuild two fence gates because one was an over-sized gate.  I told them what I wanted and they suggested some things that could be done.  They told me what would be the best option cost wise and what would hold up the best.  I told them my concerns about securing the backyard.  They came back with more stuff that I ever dreamed of.  It was amazing how much better it turned out.  I was thrilled.  They also framed a door for me.  We talked about just a simple trim.  But they came back with a much fancier and prettier trim and they didn’t even change the price.  It was like they were taking care of their own house.  I was thoroughly impressed.  The price was very reasonable.

We contacted Back Construction as a certified Pella Window and Door installer.   We had significant water issues with the builder's grade doors that were installed when we built our home 6 years ago.   The Back Pella sales person  came on sight, surveyed the situation and discussed with us our options for replacing the doors, the guarantees involved and helped us select a look that would mesh well with our existing windows and doors.    The back team submitted a proposal and was responsive to questions we had and updated the proposal to ensure all of our questions and answers were documented.  We had this work estimated by other contractors and while Back was more expensive than the other bids we had more confidence that the water issues would be resolved to our satisfaction and that the guarantees would cover any issues.  A project manager was assigned to our job who remained in contact with us through the door order process and was on site regularly while the work was being performed.  I work out of my home so had visibility to the work being performed.  The tradesman on site took care with their work and took pains to ensure their installation was high quality.   The work took three days and they cleaned up after each day. The painters made a recommendation on how to make it more seamless with existing doors.    Overall very satisfied with the appearance of the doors and the workmanship.
The team also was very thorough by re installing an "invisible" screen door that we had.  The door had to be altered to fit with the new exterior doors.   Initially the reinstalled screen door caused a water pooling issue with our new door.  When I contacted the project manager he immediately sent out Back screen door installer to address the situation.   We thought it would be a design point which would force us to remove the door.   The technician came up with a way to better allow draining from the threshold but assured us if it didn't work they would be back until it was addressed to our satisfaction.     The adjustment worked and we're very happy to keep screen door and have non leaking exterior doors - well tested after our recent rain storms.
In addition, while on their initial visit the project manager and sales person noted an issue with a half round window.   Unrelated to the job they asked for a ladder, surveyed the window and suggested a plan to correct - this was not an attempt to sell additional product since the fix was under warranty from another manufacturer - just providing additional service to the homeowner.
Overall very very satisfied with the work performed and the level of professionalism.   They are expensive - but in this case we felt was worth it since we were addressing a water issue that was difficult to resolve and we wanted a solution not just an installation from a local box store
