  • having low blood pressure, nurse John Vinson prescribe a medication for me to take that was for high blood pressure. I blacked out. Almost killed myself passing out and hitting my head. When I brought this to their attention they terminated me as a client even tho I was seeing another professional there that I liked

  • I had an accident in the Fall and I really like this office and this staff. The doctor I'm seeing is very professional, but I've also seen him partner, who's also very professional. The one I see is a little younger and I like him. To me, the younger doctors are more with the program. The staff is very good. They're very cordial and you get a reminder call. They're very well trained. I complained one time because I could hear a negative conversation between the girls at the desk and they glassed in the office area, so you don't hear as much of the conversations. That was something smart they did. They're responsive to anything like that. They're not afraid to refer you out to a specialist if they feel like it's not within their realm of care. I'm very pleased. The only problem I have is they're so busy. When you use good people, you're going to find that.

  • I'm thankful I went to them. It was a wonderful staff. I liked the doctor and I liked the staff. I was under their care and when they release you, you have to ring this little bell. Everybody cheers. It might be silly, but it worked. They have extremely good care there.

  • Went well, no complaints. Great Hygienist. My daughter in aw had her wisdom teeth extracted here, and was in for a month of recurring infections (which are not the faut of the dentist). They saw her severa more times to treat the infections without extra charge after the first one.

  • Much better than the third world hospitals I am accustomed to. But by US standards, just acceptable. It's the only hospital in town. There are many friendly, caring nurses there, especially "Catfish." The ER administrator Melinda was the rudest person I have ever encountered in a heath care venue. She called security twice to (unsuccessfully) have my son thrown out! So now the hospitals have joined the growing police state of America? But all in all, 3 ER visits and 1 day in the hospital were not unpleasant.

  • Terrible nursing staff both times I was in there. Overworked and short staffed. I had to have nurses changed Dr. walked in and they were watching me try to pull myself up in bed instead of helping (I had just came from under anesthesia ) Dr. addressed the issue with nurses and they were change not once but twice he walked in on them not doing their job. Constantly put call button out of reach and had to be reminded or have someone else do it while visiting.

  • I have had an excellent experience there. They generally run as close as possible to the scheduled appointments. They also are very flexible getting g you in between your normal visits in needed. I really like the girls in the office, the nurses and of course the doctor. They seem to run the office very professionally.

  • Our insurance company denied the claim saying that Lucentis was experimental for the treatment of this problem. We contacted Retina. Associates of Ky to update them on the claim denial. They were helpful and reassuring saying they would appeal for us with our insurance. After about 2 month, I called to check on the status of the claim and they told me they were appealing again. I think they appealed several times with no luck. Each time I told the person in billing of what we had been told by the doctor during the treatment in regards to the sales representatives offer and each time we were told they were still working with insurance on the claim. After several months were started receiving bills for the Lucentis treatment. The Lucentis was about $2000. When I called billing, they said that our insurance wouldn't approve the claim and that we were now responsible for the full amount of the treatment. I told her about being told by the doctor that the Lucentis sales rep. said that it would be comped if the claim was denied and she said the the drug maker said that we didn't qualify for the comp. I told her that us qualifying for a comp was never mentioned in any of our previous discussions and I was told that it didn't matter if it had be mentioned or not, we were still responsible for the treatment and that the doctor may have misunderstood the sales rep and if we didn't start paying on the bill we would be turned over to a collection agency. Well anyway, we are now making payments on the bill that we didn't expect to owe. I don't believe that we were intentionally misled by any means, but before I would ever agree for a treatment that may or may not be approved by my insurance, I will make sure to clarify it in writing. Moral of the story, what is said means nothing unless you get writing nowadays.

    1. I was first told that Dr. Haddix is not accepting new patients. If I chose to make an appointment with Dr. Dicken, I was required to drop my medical records by so he could review them before allowing an appointment ( a 30 mile trip for me). I was offered an appointment with a physicians assistant. I can go to Kroger and get that without this hassle.

    Since they apparently don't have a web page, East Side Family Medicine needs to post this information on Angie's list so we don't waste our time calling them.

  • He is very professional in all aspects. He cares about the experience, the equipment, and the product. I am getting veneers made, and he is very particular about how they are made and that sort of thing.
