  • First of all I was fitted with "in the ear" hearing aids, which were not appropriate for my level of hearing loss.  They were made by an obscure company making it nearly impossible to go elsewhere for service, possibly done intentionally.  They required frequent maintenance because of my ear wax production, a reason not to have in the ear hearing aids unless you have a profound hearing loss.
I was not allowed to change the filters myself and they quickly collected wax.  The quality of improved hearing was questionable, compared to the center I just purchased another pair from.
I complained about a very, very annoying sound like my voice was in a tunnel and was told that I just needed to get used to that, which made no sense because I had worn them for a year.  Corrections should have been tried for that, but were not offered.  I have no such problem with my new hearing aids which are behind the ear and I can change the filter myself, as well as having a brand that can be serviced anywhere.

  • He is very patient friendly. He takes the time with you. He answers all your questions. He is truthful. If he thinks there is something he can't do, he will recommend you. You might have to wait a while in the office, but he doesn't rush you out in 2 or 3 minutes. He doesn't rush you out of the office.

  • I was hospitalized and they were referred to me. They did a colonoscopy but it was at the hospital. They only do preventive care colonoscopies in their office. I liked the doctor his bedside manner was excellent. The office staff seems to be very thorough. I feel that they are pressed to get you in and out. I will go back to him if I need to.

  • I started going to Select OB/GYN when I found out I was pregnant in September of 2007. As a prenatal patient, I saw all the doctors in the practice; some had better bedside manner than others. The nurses and office staff are great, very helpful and responsive if I called with a question. The only real complaint I have is that the Ft. Thomas office is very busy, and sometimes we'd wait an hour to see the doctor for my checkups. They have ultrasound on site, which is nice. When I went into labor, I called the doctor on call and was sent to the hospital. However, the doctor didn't come to see me until I was ready to push, almost 5 hours later. I would have liked to have seen my doctor earlier than that, particularly because my baby's heart rate was dropping and my husband and I were feeling a bit concerned about that. But overall, I did like this practice and will probably continue seeing them for subsequent children.

  • Waited over an hour for every appointment (4 in total). A routine procedure was not performed correctly by the nurse practitioner. Informed it had to be redone. Was told this by nurse after waiting and hour and a half to see doctor. When I commented that I had to wait over an hour for every appointment so far in their office (4 appointments total) and I was frustrated at the thought of having to schedule another appointment and having to wait again and frustrated at the thought of having the procedure redone, she left the room and returned with a business card. On the business card was the name and phone number of their office manager who I could call and complain to. She also informed me that their office was an OB office as well and emergencies come up that cause the doctor to be late for appointments. I told her that for this appointment, I had called their office twice and asked if the doctor was on time for appointments today. Both times I was told yes, the doctor will be on time for appointments today. I was on time and still had to wait an hour and a half to be told that the previous exam that I waited and hour and a half for was not done correctly and had to be redone and that I had to schedule another appointment! She told me to call the office manager. At this point I walked out and will NEVER go back. I do not recommend the "Physicians for Women" OB/GYN practice at St. Luke Hospital. This practice is not professional, not organized, and not competent. Don't waste your time.
