  • I can't say enough about this vet office!  They were so friendly and yet very professional. The office was very clean.  Dr. Brown was everything I was looking for in a vet.  We had taken our other pets to another office in town and they were good, but very expensive and not very compassionate.  Dr. Brown was very good with our new puppy and she also answered all my questions and concerns.  She's very practical and understands the costs involved with pet care.  It was great to find a place that wants the best for your babies, but also understands that families live on a budget too.
I would and have recommended them to everyone I know.

  • Gina was very caring and professional.  This was our first time using K9 Design.  She put me and my dogs at ease by coming in the house to meet them on their own turf, letting us tour her mobile work space, and asking about their personalities.  She treated my dogs with love and was attentive to their needs.  Gina did an excellent job with grooming each of them, and she gave me feedback afterwards about how they did with her.  My dogs loved her!  We will definitely be using her services again.

  • The cats love him and I really appreciate the skill Dr. Bennett has with animals and people. I waited about five mintes to see him. He is the only Vet they have had since they were 8 weeks old.He is a GREAT!

  • We've moved around the country a bit and have used several vets. Elk Creek is by far the best we have ever found. The entire staff is clearly interested in the best for your pets. Even when I took our hamster there for an infection on his leg, he got a thorough check-up and we got some good advice on how to give him his antibiotics.
We have used Dr. Brad Bennet and Dr. Alex Shelley - both were very caring and professional.
I talk to a lot of pet owners and have heard nothing but good things about them. Their prices are outstanding compared to going into Louisville.

  • Melissa is wonderful with our dogs. She is very observant, quickly picked up on their personalities and is focused on their wellbeing and happiness when she visits. I trust her with our pets. She is capable, knowledgable and puts you at ease. We have had a very positive experience with Animal Lovers Pet Care.

  • I have had three cats examined by Dr. Yates and Dr. Fulkerson for various issues. Both doctors are extremely friendly, and understand that your pets are members of your family. Both Dr. Fulkerson and Dr. Yates are compassionate, caring veterinarians who go out of their way to make sure your pet receives the best treatment, even if that means taking the pet to another facility. The doctors always call me as soon as they obtain any laboratory results, and are vigilant in trying to diagnose symptoms that just do not add up. Their staff is always friendly, and they have one of the absolute cleanest veterinary hospitals I have ever visited. This is the best veterinarian I have ever been to, and I intend to keep taking my pets to Stony Brook Animal Hospital as long as Dr. Yates and Dr. Fulkerson are there.

  • I go here a lot. I have had all sorts of veterinarian calls in the last few years. My one dog has seizures. The other had a torn knee which she tore up during recovery a couple times. She also had splinters in her feet from the deck. They both have had facial swelling and itching incidents from allergies. We have always received excellent care and service from Dr. Shelley and Dr. Bennett. They usually answer all my questions before I can even ask them. The office staff is friendly and service is fast. They remember my name and my dogs' names which I appreciate. I like that I get treated like a person rather than a number which is what I found in various other vet offices in this city.

  • We arrived a little early before opening hours but they had no problem with us coming in to fill out the paperwork. Dr. Fowler called us in within a short time and took care of Heidi with real passion and kindness. The staff was amazing and very friendly and our normally very shy cat was very relaxed. Dr. Fowler took out some time to talk to us about Heidi's health and explained to us what we can do in the future and about emergency services that they offer. I am so glad I found this vet on Angie's list and already made an appointment for my other two other cats.

  • Took our dog there for a mass on her side and the xray showed the mass was not connected to any bone and was outside the chest area, altho a large mass I had them remove it and they did a biopsy. The biopsy results showed cancer but were inconclusive on what type due to the sample being incorrect ( we have the official findings report). They removed the drain a few days later and advised the wound was fine altho it was still draing alot. A few days later the wound began to turn black and fall apart, with the skin literally melting within hours in an area the size of a softball. Called the Vet and even sent him photos since it was a weekend, but he advised it would be fine that she had cancer and nothing could be done to just make an appointment Monday. Despite being told how rapidly it was decaying he had no concern and did not refer us to any emergency care. My sister who worked at a Emergency Vet center came to look at it as we were concerned our dog was in pain and her side was melting off, we had to rush her IMMEDIATELY to an emergency Vet center. We found out from some of the top vets in the country that the surgery had been all wrong, the wound had become infected with a bacteria that was very aggresive, this bacteria had setup on the inside and was not from exposure here. Despite the efforts and to avoid further suffering, and the only option left would be having to cut the dogs side off and try to let it heal from the inside out, we had to put her to sleep! Now our cat who also went to Elk Creek for a wound in his side (prior to our dog) where they stiched it up and gave antibiotics, suddenly had his side split open again and puss run out, the emergency vet service had to do surgery to remove infection and debris not cleaned out before when it was cut, and the infection had bullt up and spread over time to a large area, the cat will recover thankfully but has a nice large scar from its side down the inside of its leg. The cause is not cleaning the wound originally and just sowing it up.

  • DROPPED OFF ON FRIDAY AT 5:00 PM AND IT WENT WELL. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND EFFICIENT. WE PICKED THEM UP ON MONDAY MORNING AND THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS THEN AS WELL. BOTH DOGS WERE CLEAN AND HAPPY AND ODOR FREE. I WILL USE THEM AGAIN, DEFINITELY. IF I COULD CHANGE JUST ONE THING, IT WOULD BE THAT THEY WERE OPEN ON SATURDAYS SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO DROP THEM OFF ON FRIDAY AND LEAVE THEM AN EXTRA NIGHT. THEY ARE CLOSED ON SATURDAYS. OTHER THAN THAT,I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS WHATSOEVER. I HAD NEVER USED A KENNEL BEFORE AND WAS VERY UNEASY ABOUT IT. I WAS VERY PLEASED AND WILL NOT WORRY ABOUT MY DOGS THE NEXT TIME I LEAVE THEM.
