BProviders were professional and friendly. Care plan was established and communicated well. Providers worked toward the goals they had set, and we could see improvement as recovery progressed. Overall a positive experience.

FI was all but called a liar! I was even told that my condition often goes away in three months even though I have had it since 2014 (5 years). They couldn't even order the MRI right! I cancelled the whole affair after I tried to contact the office manager and could not get into them!

FDr. Chunduri performed back surgery on me 12/29/15, he completed a fusion of my L4/L5. Before my surgery my sciatic nerve was pinched causing severe pain down my right leg. Dr. Chunduri explained he was going to remove ALL my disc at the L4/L5 level and replace it with a metal plate which is used when completing a fusion. After my surgery I continued to have alot of pain down my right leg, I went back to see Chunduri several times explaining to him the pain I was continuing to have. I was also completing physical therapy which was not helping at all and I was still on pain meds months after my surgery. Finally after I persisted for months , he had a MRI done to see what was causing the continued pain. The MRI results showed there were still some of the disc between my vertebrae in between L4/L5, the disc that Dr Chunduri was supposed to have removed during surgery. Due to Dr. Chunduri's error, I then switched doctors and had to have another back surgery in order to have the disc removed that Dr. Chunduri was supposed to. Not only did I have to have another surgery but due to how long my nerve was compressed I now have some permanent nerve damage in my right foot and lower right leg. At this time my kids were 2 and 4 years old. It was very difficult to take care of my children due to the mistake from Dr. Chunduri as well as I had to take additional time off work for the continued pain and surgery. Not to mention the fact that I had to pay for a whole 2nd surgery, tests, and doctor visits. Fast forward 4 years later to now, in August 2019 I started to have right leg pain again. Come to find out that the fusion Dr. Chunduri completed in 2015 has failed, the metal plate is not in the correct spot and I will now have to have another surgery in 3 weeks to fix the fusion that Dr. Chunduri completed. If asked if I would recommend this doctor to others, without hesitation my answer would be NO. Hopefully others can learn from my pain.

AReconstructive Orthopedics and Sports Medicine IncWay better then expected. I hobbled around for many years because I had heard such horror stories about this surgery. I was at my pain clinic one day and overheard a lady mention that she had knee surgery done by Dr. Swank. I had been looking for him because he did my first back surgery. I walked out of the hosp. 8 hrs. later with very little pain. I got his phone number and I now have 2 new knees with minimal pain. It's a shame he no longer does back surgery. Dr Swank is fantastic. I've been told all the Drs. are, so I will be getting my shoulder taken care of at the same place.- Helen S.

AReconstructive Orthopedics and Sports Medicine IncDr. Shaw told me what could be done to fix the bicep. He also told me what would happen if I did not get it fixed. He prescribed a MRI to make sure there were not any other issues. There were. A rotator cuff was about half torn off the bone. When I went back to Dr. Shaw for the MRI results, I made out a list of all the questions that I had. He answered them all. I opted for the surgery to repair the bicep and rotator cuff. The recovery has gone as stated. I am also going to see their physical therapist. My job is desk job, so I only was off work for two weeks. I never considered medical leave until my boss suggested. The only complaint I is with the individual at Reconstructive Orthopedics that filled out my leave papers. They only returned one out of six calls. The paperwork got to my employer after the due date. Fortunately, this was not an issue. That one person aside, my experience with Dr. Shaw and his staff, as well as the PT folks - Chris Hill, Jess and the ladies at the PT front desk has been very, very positive.- Gregory G.

AReconstructive Orthopedics and Sports Medicine IncFirst of all - Kristin is extremely professional and nice. I probably saw her at least a dozen times from Sept to Dec and each time her care was consistent. We tried various approaches in my therapy to see what I could handle and if there was improvement. Although it will take a long time to improve I can say that by going a few times a week over 3 months it did help. I plan on returning to therapy again but it will depend of insurance (unfortunately!). Anyway, Kristin is a real gem and I would highly recommend her services. And she loves baseball!- Terry S.

AGalloway, Dr. Marc T.Surgery was scheduled and had a great experience. Explained everything and answered all questions before and after, also with follow up until my elbow was as good as new. The only real drawback is promptness in being seen at appointment time.- Bill L.

AColosimo, Dr. Angelo J.He is punctual. The appointments are within half hour of scheduled time and it might change if there is any emergency surgery. He has a good sense of humor. He has got a good demeanor. He does not do any excess bleeding surgeries as he does arthroscopic and stuff like that. It also helps in healing faster. His office is conveniently located.- HAROLD W.

AAmis, Dr. James A.What more can I say? He checks my ankles and I ask a lot of questions. He has warned me against replacement surgery with my condition. I like his approach - better be safe than sorry.- Mary H.
