Bernie and his crew were great. They came in and removed an old pear tree that had partially fallen down. They cleaned up the fallen debris and took down the rest of the tree and hauled it away in just over two hours. Due to recent ice storm they were very busy but came Thanksgiving morning to do the work. We couldn't have asked for better service and professionalism.

Bernie Gripshover was a blessing! Besides being the lowest price, he came in the darkness of night to remove a tree leaning against my house. After Duke removed the limbs over my power lines they left the remaining limbs too weak to support the weight of the tree and it began to slide down my gutter toward my heat pump. I called & explained my situation & he was there within 30 minutes and the tree was down off my house within another 40. He is great! You won't be disappointed if you hire him. Maggie in Edgewood.

The job went well, and I am extremely pleased with the finished product. I had three estimates come in for the job. One company said that they couldnt do the job for under $1600. Another came in at about $1500 and ALR Landscapes came in at about $1450. I was very impressed with Aaron of ALR Landscapes. A very soft-spoken individual, he took his time looking at the job and said he would have his estimate to me in a week or so. The steps had to be removed for him to get to the area to build a base for the pavers to be laid. He offered to take down and re-install the stairs after the job was completed for a slight fee. The other estimates I received would not take down the stairs and expected them to be removed before they would begin. Aaron came across as very competent and hard working. Aaron sent me the estimate and I mailed it back in. He was two weeks or so out and called me couple days before starting the job letting me know he was coming to begin work. He showed up on time and began the job. Ive learned from experience that there are some people you must sit and watch and others you can walk away and occasionally come back to check on progress. With ALR you can be at ease. Aaron removed the steps and took out the platform. He leveled the area and tamped in gravel for a base and put in the pavers. From inside our house we could hear him tamping the gravel for a solid base for what seemed hours. The finished product looked great. Far nicer than what me and my wife thought we would end up with when we began looking for a contractor. It rained heavily a couple days which turned a two-day job into a four day which is understandable. Also, my deck had a slight warp to it which was what I thought was caused by the steps sinking over time putting strain on the deck. With the new pavers in the problem did not correct itself. Aaron looked at the deck and said he could correct the problem by removing and putting in a new 6X6 for a slight additional fee. He put in the new 6X6 and corrected the warp and the deck looks completely level.

When I agreed to work with A & A Lawn Care, I had clear conditions. One was that the trucks and trailers had to be parked on the street and not on our driveway shared with other homes. I was told this would not be a problem. What I got was two trucks with trailers parked on the shared driveway. I asked the lead of the crew if he was going to move them and he said yes, and then walked away and started the mower. So they weren't going to move the trucks. I stopped and asked again and was told yes and then back to the mower. Clearly, he could not understand what I was saying. I then stopped him again, knowing that I had a car coming back from service at the dealership that was clean, and asked he and the crew start in the back and opposite side of the driveway to prevent the wet grass from getting all over the driveway and my car. Of course, this was also ignored and they started cutting toward the driveway. At this point, I said enough is enough and I told them pack it up and leave. My yard is about one-third cut, so it's a mess. They are no longer welcome on the property. I have attempted to reach the company to discuss, but if a crew is on a customer site on a Friday after they close the office and there is an issue, you are out of luck. This is a poorly run business. I am sure the company will post some sort of rebuttal, but no one who will write that was there, so it is hearsay at best. Keep that in mind as you review this. In the end, the company ignores what is required by the customer, and employees that show up either cannot understand or comprehend clear statements.

They recommended a scheme, provided an accurate quote and timeline, performed the work and left the yard looking amazing! I'd definitely hire them again. (They moved bushes, filled in holes in the lawn, leveled out a sloped area, removed overgrown non-native species we'd been unable to rid our law of previously and planted some new things in our yard.)

When we bought our property 16 years ago the trees surrounding our house were ascetically appealing and complimented the appearance of our house and land. In the 16 years since we bought our home the trees had become overgrown and towered over the house becoming unsightly, dangerous, and a maintenance nightmare. River Birch trees are pretty, but I consider high maintenance due to the constant falling branches and leaves. It was time to take them down. On October 10, 2017 we called Mark Hatfield to have a look and see what could be done. He came out and gave us valuable insight as to how the removal of the trees would make our property more marketable if we decided to sell. He gave us an estimate and we agreed to have the work done. Precision Tree has no problem finding work and we agreed to have our job done during the winter (out of peak tree removal season) at a reduced rate. We mentioned to Mark that we were planning on wintering in Florida and would be leaving around Christmas. He said he would have the trees removed before we left, and grind the stumps later in the winter. After talking it over with my wife, we were worried about the appearance of our house after the tree removal because, lets face it, once the tree is taken out you cant put it back. We called Mark Hatfield back and told him we had some concerns and asked him to come out when he was available so we could go over our decision. He came out again and we talked things over. Im amazed a business man would take as much time as he did with our concerns, and Mark is a most interesting person to talk too. As I said before, Precision Tree is not lacking for work and we were very appreciative that Mark would spend the time with us to address our concerns. We changed the number of trees to take out. True to his word Mark came out before we said we would leave for Florida and began the work. We once again had a change of plan and requested an additional three trees be removed. Mark agreed to take the additional trees out without hesitation. It was nice to have someone who could accommodate our sudden change in planning. We were also appreciative of how the trees were removed as far as safety. We had no worries of anyone being injured on our property. Safety was a high priority. After the trees were removed we were amazed at the positive change in appearance it made to our house. We wish we would have done it years ago. We cant wait to see how our property will look with replacement plantings. Within a week of having the trees removed Precision Tree came out again to remove the stumps. Precision Tree is a well-oiled machine and within a few hours the stumps were ground out and debris removed. The before and after look of our property is amazing. The house is now easily viewable with no worry about falling branches and debris. In the spring we will be calling Mark Hatfield back to give us advice on responsible replacement trees/shrubs which will make our house appealing.

Fantastic, could not have been more impressed. They were quick, efficient, kept the grass in great shape given the slope and work being done, left the yard cleaner than when they arrived, no debris left, the logs to be split into firewood were left neatly stacked out of the way. Very impressed, will use again and when needed, and would recommend to everyone. Also very responsive for calls and emails.

He did not complete any of the projects correctly and refused to correct the jobs to the written specifications. All the details and pictures are available in a better business bureau complaint: complaint ID 12449629. They have blocked my phone and have not responded to the better business bureau's attempts to contact them.

I definitely give them an A. Graig Grabel is the owner and he is great. I only work with him and I will only work with him. I asked them to call me the day before to make sure I am here and they have. We moved from another state and wasn't sure who to got with. We priced a lot of people. They do natural chemicals.
