Countertop Installation reviews in Erlanger

Our countertops were 28 years old and looking dingy. I found Ohio Valley on Angies list and could not be happier with the finished project. The company was perfect from start to finish.Service was impecible from the girl who answered the phone to schedule to the gentleman who performed the service. Would recommend 100%.

I don't like posting bad reviews and rarely read all of a bad review - and I often take some with a grain of salt where it may appear that the company just had a cranky customer.   However, this is not that type of review.  I had super high expectations for this company since every review I read was good and positive.  My experience was simply awful.
Hannah, their sales rep, contacted me within a few days of my purchase, and as far as picking my granite and where Hannah is concerned - I had a great experience and she was a pleasure to deal with.  She brought some samples to my house and was very knowledgeable.
I picked out a pattern -  let Hannah know and within a week or so time, they had scheduled the install for March 30th.  So far so good.
I can't possibly share everything that happened or went wrong with this install since there is no way to explain it without writing a short story.  Seriously.
Between a having a piece of my granite cut wrong, having to schedule the second piece install only to see that it was chipped, and cut wrong, a very unprofessional employee (installer) and this company's poor attention to detail, I would not hire them again, nor would I recommend.
Ultimately, after some time the issues were resolved - but not without my perseverance.
The owner and his wife apologized profusely, and as far as I know, they ended up firing this particular installer.  Not just from my complaint, but I learned that there were other grievances filed against him as well.
    Hopefully, they improve going forward.

This past summer, my fiancé and I needed to refinish our basement in preparation of combining households.  While the basement was already finished once, it was basically simply boxed in with drywall and a drop ceiling and used as an
open style recreation room.  We needed to add a bedroom and a full bath and put a drywall ceiling in.  I had used BTS Contracting several years ago to add a composite deck to my old house and was thrilled with the work so I
called Bob again to get a bid for this job.
I contacted Bob and told him what we wanted to do and we scheduled a day for him to come out to the house.  As we walked through and told him what we wanted he was making notes and giving us his ideas along the way.  There is not a lot of space in the basement.  We wanted to have a livable bedroom for an older teenager but still have a separate room for a couch, TV
and chair.  He gave ideas on where we could save space and how to arrange the layout to afford us the most living
space.  The bathroom added a level of difficulty to the job because the half bath rough in was not where we wanted
it.  Therefore, concrete had to be torn up and the drain for the toilet moved.  In addition, we wanted to add a larger capacity water heater to accommodate the extra people who would now be living there.  Bob made his notes and stated he would get together some ideas and get back to us.
Within a couple days Bob contacted me and said he was ready to meet to go over his estimate.  He came back to the house and had several computer sketches of what he thought would give us the most room.  He also had an estimate which included the aforementioned work and also replacing the windows.  The windows that were previously installed were single pane and very drafty.  They were adequate for a rec room but not so much for actual living space.  After some very minor changes, we were satisfied with the ideas and the estimate and approved the work to be completed.  As luck would have it, he had some space between jobs where his crew was able to get started fairly quickly.
On the day work was to begin, Bob and his crew (Chris and John) arrived on time.  They began their work after some brief introductions.  Chris has been with him for several years and seems to be Bob?s right hand man so I was familiar with him but I did not know John.  All were respectful and easy going.  The first several days were mostly demolition.  After that they moved towards the bathroom and moving the toilet.  The new bathroom was going to be located in what was currently storage.  They hung plastic around all of the items and any entrances into the other parts of the house.  While it wasn?t exactly sealed, it did
provide protection from the major part of the concrete dust.   As I stated earlier, the moving of the toilet required them to dig through the foundation.  The trench ran for about 10-12 feet in total.  The plumbing was laid and was re-concreted over.
The bedroom and TV room were simple enough and there was nothing overly extravagant about their construction.  The bedroom was pretty straight forward; 4 walls with a full size closet with sliding doors.   The TV room was the same but with an alcove instead of a closet.  Chris ran most of the electric and the cable.  Cable was run into 3 different locations; one into the bedroom and 2 into the TV room.  Since we were not certain which wall the TV was going to be on they ran connections down both walls for us.
We had made most of our requests in the bathroom.  We wanted ceramic tile floor and a tile stand up shower.  Allowances for tile, vanity, etc. were all built in to the estimate.  The allowances were generous enough to give us a wide range of choices.  We simply choose what we wanted and gave the list to Bob who picked it up.  We gave Bob a layout of the pattern we wanted in the shower and he gave suggestions on how to tie the whole room together with the tile.  We also wanted the floor tile to be on a 45 degree angle.  This is where the attention to detail was going to show and he nailed it.  The tile work in the bathroom was exactly what we were envisioning and then some.   Not to take away from the rest of the job but this turned out to be the most impressive part of the completed project.
As with any project like this, we did run into a couple issues.  As the project went on, we changed a few things mid-stream.  The
change requests were taken in stride without issue.  The shower door had some manufacturing defects.  There were some sealant issues and it was not aesthetically pleasing.  Bob noticed it and notified me by phone.  Since it was going to be some time before the new door arrived, he went ahead and installed the door but ordered a new one so the shower could be used.  Once the new one came in he returned and replaced the door.  Another issue was with the new window in the bedroom.  This one was a little more difficult to troubleshoot but he and Chris solved the problem quickly.
This was the second time I had hired BTS Contracting.  I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality work and would hire them again for my next project.  Bob and Chris did the majority of the work.  They were friendly, helpful and accommodating to our requests for change.  Their experience shows through their quality work and attention to detail

Great.  I now have a beautiful master bath with a steam unit, heated travertine floors, and new countertop and cabinetry.  Pat and Ken did a great job, and installed all aspects of the job including framing, plumbing, electric, dry wall, paint, and tile install.

I am extremely pleased with my new kitchen!  Dave and Lisa are great to work with.  I shopped at multiple places, including home centers, and found their prices to be very competitive.  I went in already knowing what I wanted, and Dave and Lisa made suggestions on improving my ideas.  I chose Shiloh cabinets in soft white and coffee brown granite countertops (which are black and brown).  There was no price increase for inset doors or for 13" cabinets in this cabinet line (so plates will fit since the doors are inset) like there was at other companies.  In addition, they made an extra effort to finish the installation before the holiday!  I highly recommend Seibel's. I have included before and after photos.

It was excellent. The employees were fantastic, as well as the sales lady. The installers measured and installed it within a week. It was very prompt. All good things to say. I would highly recommend them.

The project couldn't have gone more smoothly and we are thrilled with the results. Mr. Bauder was very thorough in every aspect of the job, from helping us pick out flooring, cabinets, countertops, and more, to explaining how he would make matching, custom trim pieces to make the cabinets look custom-made. He was prompt, detail-oriented, courteous, and very affordable.

For the second time we are so pleased with our recent contract with Potter House Group.  Our first experience with Potter House Group was a new build construction project.  They found us a lot and built us a custom home about 9 years ago.  Since then we relocated into a 115 year old home and we hired them for our kitchen remodel.  First we did our research, and we sought bids from several contractors.  Potter House Group once again had a competitive quote, that we felt had all the "bases" and potential "surprises" covered.  We also felt that the allowances that were allotted in our estimate allowed us to select quality selections for the fixtures, granite, cabinetry & flooring.  What impressed us the most is that once again we worked directly with the owner, Lee, for the duration of the project.  From the very beginning, Lee was professional, honest, and extremely efficient with our time.  Our kitchen was completely gutted down to the bare studs, removing of walls, flooring, electric, and a back staircase.  When you are without the hub of your home-the kitchen-meeting timelines is very important.   They met all timelines and brought in the necessary resources and tradesmen to perform various scopes of work.  All the inspections that were needed went well too.  Lee addressed any questions or concerns we had during the process responsively.  Without a doubt, Potter House Group will be the contactor we use for the next job.  We are already dreaming of our next project, a master bath addition.  Can?t wait!  Potter House Group is highly recommended!!!
Thank you Lee for a beautiful kitchen!

Great overall. Brian was there when he said he would be and produced a very accurate template with his laser system. Brian and Mary Kay were both very kind and accommodating. We put off our install date until we were sure the granite was laid out like we wanted. Our island piece had a lot of movement and we wanted to include certain sections and avoid others. Even though Brian had said we had to start in a corner, he was very accommodating and did not make us do that so we could use the parts of the stone we wanted.
We also had gotten another estimate using the exact same stone for the exact same work and edges. That estimate was $6K for the same work. Brian only made us pay for the stone we actually used. Other fabricators made us pay for the entire slab even though we did not need a whole slab and that accounts for some of the difference in price. Brian also gave us a discount on our ogee edge for being an Angie's List member which was nice.
Having worked with three granite fabricators in the Cincinnati area, I will always go with Stone Design in the future and never go anywhere else. Best prices and quality work.

I found Quarry Granite on the internet advertising a home show special sale.  I contacted Scott Haynes and he referred us to a granite supplier where we could select the specific slab of our choice.  Scott measured the space based on design plans and gave us a quote. I was having difficulty finding information about the company and Scott referred me to Angies list.  After checking the company reviews we signed a contract and deposited 1/3 of the price.  Quarry Granite then purchased the slab we selected.  This was part of a much larger project including replacing all of the floors on the main floor of the house and installing new cabinets.  Due to delays in the arrival of the floor the project was postponed for 3 months.  Quarry Granite was understanding and worked with us through the process.
One concern we had was a knee wall that we wanted to make into a bar with a 102" x 24" slab of granite with a 12" overhang on one side and a 7" overhang on the other side. Scott referred us to a bracket company that answered our questions and helped us determine how to reinforce the wall.
When Scott returned to perform the final measurement, he allowed us to section the granite into thirds and tell them which section we wanted for each area.  This was fantastic for us because the slab of granite we choose had a large vein in it we wanted on the bar top.
During installation the crew was very professional and took great care not to damage our knew floors and appliances.  The work was excellent.  I would recommend Quarry Granite to everyone.  We have 3mm granite countertops for less than the price of quartz at the local home improvement stores.
The countertops are beautiful and we are very pleased.
