Drain Cleaning reviews in Elsmere

Found roots and cleared them out. Drain still rain slow. ended up putting a camera down and seen a lot of sludge probably caused by the slow flow because of the roots. So the pressure washer price went from #225 to $375 to remove the toilet to $1,200 to pressure wash the drain. I thought that was a little high I'm not sure never had it done before this is just information overall I'm very happy with the work. The price is a little high on the pressure cleaning I though. I forgot to mention Angie's list I didn't get my 10% off maybe they'll refund it back to me good bunch of guys this is the second time I've hired them.

This is an update from a previous review they called me and reduce the price on my drain cleaning to my satisfaction of $105 from $185 dollars that's why I'm putting the positive review I think that's a fair price for a simple auger drain cleaning.

After calling three different companies to find the best price for my money since I just had to purchase a brand new $1,200 refrigerator, you can understand why I wanted to try and save a little money. However, each service guy I had come to the house were not as amicable and honest as the Matt #2719 from Roto-Rooter. Matt took his time auguring our floor drain that was build up with years of grease which truly was a difficult task at hand. But he did not complain one bit and was extremely patient during the whole process and was determined to get us up and running which he did and me and my family are very grateful. So if you are looking for a hard working, reliable, honest company and service guy who knows what they are doing and won't beat you out of you money. Matt at Roto-Rooter is it.

My drain in my basement was stopped up from roots and sewage was coming up from the drain and water and sewage was starting to accumulate in my basement.  Chris Poulin  #1225 was the technician who came to do the work.  I was told it would be from 7 until 11 pm before anyone could get here, but I asked if it couldn't be any earlier.  Chris came around 4 or 5 and said he finished another job sooner than he thought.  Chris Poulin was friendly, courteous, competent and if I had another problem I would definitely call RotoRooter and ask for Chris Poulin.  It didn't take him that long to do the job and it was on a Sunday and I had the rest of the evening to do whatever I wanted to do.  From the time I opened the door to the smiling face of Chris Poulin, I felt confident that my basement mess would get taken care of properly and efficiently.  The price was OK and probably what I expected but Chris gave me a $40 discount coupon that he had.  I was really impressed with Roto Rooter's service and with Chris Poulin.  He even explained why the drain stopped up and where it was coming from.  Very nice young man and he should be commended for his service and work attitude.  I called on Sunday morning and he was here on Sunday afternoon - with no extra charge for Sunday. I have had another plumber doing my work but became dissatisfied with him and Called Roto Rooter.  From now on it will be Roto Rooter and Chris Poulin.

Dave came out on a Sunday morning to give the estimate.  After he made the initial pass with the camera, he brought me over to show me the details.  He showed me where I had three or four sections of pipe that were clogged with roots and debris, but that there were no off-set pipes or collapses.  He told me that the sewer could be lined for $145 a foot, with a 5% Angie's List discount.  I received exactly that, plus details that would be included in the work, in a written emailed estimate a few days later (the work load was hectic because part of their crew was helping in Boston).
A crew of two came out, with Chuck to introduce them.  We discussed the plan, and they got to work.  They did exactly what they said, with as little disruption as possible.  They hooked up to my outside spigot, which may mean a higher water bill for next month, but that's no big deal.  The two who did the work were friendly and readily asked if I wanted to see the video post-lining installation.  They also explained there was a belly in the pipe, but that the liner was able to conform to the pipe and that it shouldn't impact the flow of the drain or the strength of the pipe after it was lined.  I was very pleased. It was all done in one day with no disruption to my property (other than a small portion of the basement/garage floor being dug up and replaced).  I paid by credit card over the phone (though their office manager was not in to run the card immediately, so they had to write it down...eek!) after the work was over.

They were both very professional in their evaluations and interactions with my family and house. They were careful to wear booties to keep my floors clean and cleaned up after themselves after they were done in a particular area. They cleaned all of my drains and then added a special chemical to help dissolve the excess soap and whatever that eventually coat the pipes. They also left a years worth of that bio-friendly solvent with us. The end result is that all of our slow drains and clogs are gone. Our basement is no longer flooding and we feel confident due to the warranty as well as  their efforts that we will be clog free and worry free for a long time. I would definitely recommend them.

This was the charge to give an estimate for work that was already going to be costly ( replace sewer line from the house to the street) I have already called numerous other companies and this is the only one who wants to charge for an estimate.

Our main drain plugged up.  I picked a plumber from the N. KY yellow pages. When that plumber came  I showed the plumber the drain pipes in the basement. There were no apparent openings in the main inside or outside, that most houses have.  I stated that I thought he could remove the basement toilet to gain access as I knew that the pipe from that joined the main within probably 2-3 feet.  He said that wouldn't work, what he'd have to do was punch a hole in the basement wall (I recently put that wall in) and cut out a section of the main going down into the earth and put a new section in with an access plug. Cost quoted was $2100.00.  He said I had an alternative choice -- a guy he knew would dig up the front yard and put one there, which he seemed to prefer.  Based on the two costs I picked the $2100 one, and scheduled for the following Monday..  After he left I thought about it.  But not too long.  I called and cancelled the appointment with him.
I then joined Angie's list and zeroed in on Bob Fish.  Bob actually had an associate come out because he was swamped.  He came out and removed the basement toilet.  He easily then snaked out and cleared the clogged line, which thankfully was not roots.  He then reassembled everything and total charge was about $160 plus tax.  On top of that we got a $25 discount due to being an Angie's list customer.  But we paid him the full price as a tip for a job well done.  We had water again and had saved $1940!
Oh yeah, Angie's list cost us $24 to sign up due to a discount coupon I had.  So Angie's list more than paid for itself with one use.
Oh yeah he gave us a guarantee that if it pluged up again within 30 days he'd come and clear it for free, but he would then recommend that we have a camera inspection to see if there was something else going on such as broken pipe etc.
    Thanks Bob and associate!

Rodney is great to work with, he and his crew were very professional and were always there on time. They did a beautiful job on enlarging and updating my kitchen. Despite snow and freezing temps they worked right through it.

We had a backup in a drain in the garage.  After doing some clean up ourselves, we realized that this was well outside of our abilities.  My in-laws had a similar situation in the recent past and recommended Bob Fisher Plumbing to us.   We immediately got on the horn with Bob.  After our description of the situation, Bob was very understanding, and assured us that things would be ok.  He was on his way to a job, and promised a call back.  Bob called us back in about an hour and agreed to come to our house to assess the situation at 10am the next day, which was a Sunday.  Bob told us he'd call when he was on the way.  The next morning, we received a call from Bob at approximately 9:45am and he let us know he was on the way.  He arrived shortly before 10am.  He asked questions regarding the plumbing and assured us that we'd be ok.  He removed a rusted and painted on mainline plug with no damage to either the plug or the pipe.  It was a tough one.  He had to chisel it out.  He then ran a line towards the house, which cleared the obstruction, and ran the line towards the street to ensure there no further issues down the sewer line.  He was courteous and friendly throughout our interactions.  Furthermore, I found Bob to be very knowledgeable, efficient, and thorough.  After he was done, he performed minor cleanup duties.  He collected payment and wrote me an itemized receipt.  I am very happy that we found Bob.  We were scared that it would be a huge issue and expense, and Bob took care of us quickly, and well within our budget.  I'd be happy to use Bob in the future for repairs, as well as home improvements.  I'd recommend Bob Fisher Plumbing to anyone who asked.
