Jim explained what he was going to do before he started and consulted me about any change he needed to make as e went along. The crew was courteous and paid attention to detail and did a wonderful job.

They were incredibly flexible which worked well for us. We had rain so that delayed the project by a day but they worked diligently the following days n made up that time. Also they rarely asked to come inside for water or bathroom. On the hot days I was very surprised. They are very considerate of the homeowners. We really feel grateful for their service. Thank you Charlie n Ashley!!

Patrick has more than one crew working at a time. He returns and checks their work once or twice a day. The crew we had was experienced, professional and meticulous in their work whether he was there or not. His price was fair and he completed the job during the time frame we had discussed. We couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome and would definitely use him again.

TONY WAS ON TIME. HE IS GREAT ABOUT RETURNING CALLS:  ALOT OF SUBS ARE NOT SO GOOD ABOUT THAT.  TONY IS CAUTIOUS OF KEEPING YOUR HOUSE CLEAN AND FREE OF PAINT DROPPINGS BY COVERING UP YOUR ASSETS.  HE IS FRIENDLY AND EASY TO GET ALONG WITH.  I WILL CONTINUE TO RECCOMEND HIM.

I've hired fencers before and Griggs Fence Co was VERY GOOD. I have both small and large dogs so I need an installer willing to do what it takes to hug the ground despite my rolling hills. Very good attention to detail. Very knowledgeable. Willing to use materials provided to them. Very good communication on costs, supplies needed and scheduling. Willing to obtain and deliver additional supplies at purchase cost. Hard working team of 3-4 completed project in 5 days. Charged $20/hole and $40/hole if jackhammering required, $2 per linear foot to string 5' welded wire fencing, $200 to hang the gates, $50 trip charge per day due to extended drive time. Loved them and would hire them again.

Friendly and knowledgable owner. Nice crew. Have had for several years but unprofessional behavior and changes in quality of work with last two crews included excessive smoking breaks, tossed cigarette butts, and attention to detail sloppy in some areas unexplainable

Last fall (2013) we contacted Simms and requested he look at our 37 yr. old concrete patio (which was badly cracked) to see if he could replace it. He gave us a couple ideas and his suggestions for the 19'x19' area. After discussions of different options and their pros and cons, we made our decision and he put us on his list of jobs to do, and come end of November, he was ready to start.

Before he started, we dug up all the landscaping that was around old patio, and tore down the old arbor that was over patio. Simms would have done both of these jobs, but in order to save a little money, we chose to do them. We also went to a Lexington,KY paver company, to pick out the pavers of our choice, to be used for the patio floor.

They came in and broke up the old concrete slab and hauled it away. Leveled the area and brought in Indiana limestone to use as our outside wall to hold in the gravel and pavers he would be laying. He was very careful to make sure each piece had a tight fit, so gravel would not wash out between cracks, and squared everything up nice and straight and level. Before they began laying actual patio, they installed the new fire pit, all formed from the Indiana lime stone and fire brick. This pit was just off the edge of the 19 x19 patio. The land slopes a little, so, the walls were 3 stones deep on the down side and just one deep at the level of the patio. Once it was all laid, they poured the gravel on the patio, level and stamped it down. Then came the pavers. By dry laying instead of using concrete, they were able to continue through the colder days of December.

They showed up each morning at day break and worked even with snow flying. There were no surprises, so work progressed nicely. They did lay a pipe under patio to catch rain from a downspout, which took the water away from foundation.

We had an old sidewalk that was not cracked or anything, but next to new patio, it looked so old. So Simms concreted rock over the top of the old sidewalk, to blend in with the new patio. Then he finished by laying two large pieces of Indiana limestone (staggered) on top of each other, and they make our new steps into back porch.

We are very pleased with the final patio, sidewalk and fire pit. Everything is really lovely, and we have received many compliments. Simms and his crew are excellent in clean up and going with the flow of making changes. He's all about the customer being happy with final outcome.

p.s. We had hired Simms in 2012 to put up a retaining wall, and you can see the review on it too. He did such a good job there, that we did not hesitate to hire him again. When he agreed to do, we did not even consider anyone else. He is that good at what he does.

The owner of the company did the ceiling repair work and did a fantastic job The entire crew spent more time outside smoking than they did working. When they left, there were cigarette butts in the yard, and Paint on the bathroom floor that I had to scrub up. The bathroom ceiling was originally painted in a gloss finish, and I wanted them to use a flat ceiling paint. When they left there were streaks of the glossy paint still showing on the ceiling. I found streaks of paint on light fixtures, and one of the AC vents was painted the wall color, while the rest were painted white.

The work was perfection. Beautfiully laid stone without the aid of concrete. Work area was cleaned up every night before the crew went home. They were very concious of causing any damage to our property, thus laying tarps on driveway to hold stone. The crew worked just as hard when Mr Kerbaugh was not around as when he was. Mr Kerbaugh, owner, also did the masonry work, not just supervision. They would ask us our oppinion whenever there would be a choice to make on how to lay stone, i.e. angle, depth, etc. They worked every day, rain or shine, and arrived at daybreak and closed up around 3:00. The pricing did not change from the original estimate. They also added some extra work, that we had not discussed before. Wanting to finish this job before moving on to their next job. Highly recommend them. They were very perfection minded, and made sure each level of stone was level and square. Could not have been more pleased.

Work began on the day promised and workmen always arrived on time and worked all day, breaking only for lunch. Work on both houses was completed in four days as promised.
I was pleased to find that the workmen left the property litter free.
