Everything went good. The roof was installed in one day. They had the gutters replaced on the entire home to days later and the window replacement happened about two weeks after the gutters. Everything happened right when they said it would. I would use them again if I need anything else.

The roof has solar mounts on it which made the job more complex, and there was wiring to contend with as well. Sergei's team did a great job, cleaned up completely and were great to deal with. No question, I'd use Sergei again, and would recommend them. The quote was right in the middle of the range of quotes we received, and unlike some other roofers he came out when he said he would, and gave me the estimate on time.

    K & L Home Improvements LLC
To start out, I should point out that I have built a number of decks in my life; and have lived in California, Colorado, Florida, and here in Kentucky. I currently work in commercial construction, but know both residential and commercial building codes. I typically do all the work around my house; everything from fixing plumbing issues to rewiring electrical, and everything in between. I dont like to hire contractors because they dont call you back, disappear after payment, and generally dont do the work to my standards. I will not, however, get up on the backside of our deck and move 6x6x20 beams to support a roof 35' in the air. So I went through the process of hiring someone I felt was qualified. Since I have the experience, I know how much a project of this magnitude should cost, and how long it should take. I called about 20 contractors around Louisville to get quotes for the work, and besides not getting calls back from a lot of contractors, or bids obviously too low or way too high, I lucked out and got a referral to K&L Home Improvement to build the deck. I found pictures of their work on Facebook, and looked at their current and previous projects to see what they can do, and the quality of their finished product. I then called Keevin Thomas, and had him come to the house and explained what I wanted him to do. I should point out I didnt tell him my background, and didnt tell him how to do the job. I only told him what I wanted it to look like. The same thing I told 20 other estimators/contractors before him. He definitely knew all the code requirements, and pointed out code compliance issues he would correct when he rebuilt the existing deck (my deck lacked joist hangers, stringers were undersized in one area) and issues he would solve when expanding the roof. He also came back for a second visit with his roofer/framer because he wanted to make sure he captured everything in his estimate before giving me a final quote. Trust me, this is a BIG plus, because I dont want to find out half way through the work that you forgot to include gutters, or vinyl siding, or didnt realize the roof trusses would have to be replaced and now my cost is going up to cover your mistake. He knew exactly what had to be done, and exactly how to do it. I received his quote, and while it wasnt the cheapest, it was one of the more comprehensive and detailed estimates, explaining exactly what they would do, and how it would be accomplished. I accepted his quote, and he was able to get his guys to my house the following week to start the work, well exceeding my expectations in a busy construction market. What can I say about the workers; its COLD outside, but they still pulled off the existing deck and roof, efficiently built the new structure, sealed it up, and completed the work in about two weeks, just like I expected. The other thing I expected, and got, was a call or visit from Keevin each day to make sure everything was proceeding as expected. He walked me through the process of what his guys were going to be focusing on that day, asked if there was anything I needed/if I had any concerns, and brought any issues to my attention (like the shingles were a difficult match because of previous work on the roof in that area) I expect a good contractor to talk to and explain his plan before proceeding, even though they are the experts. At one point, we were having the roof torn off to replace, and I saw there was a major storm coming in a few days on the news. He had a plan in place to cover the house with a tarp days before, just in case, and promised the work would be completed before the rainstorm. He did, in fact, meet every promise he made on the project, including this one, and the roof was ready for a heavy downpour. The work went off without a hitch, and I couldnt be happier with the result. Im glad I met Keevin, and would call him again if we needed more work done on the house now or in the future. Its nice to know there is a reputable, honorable contractor doing work in Louisville. I cant say enough good things about the overall experience and the results. If youve hired contractors before, you know the stress involved with having someone tear up part of your existing home. Everything is finished and exceeds even MY expectations.

Bone Dry Roofing & Masonry - Louisville
Very well. Jose discussed my options in detail and provided expert opinion for the most cost effective solution to the problem while also matching my existing roof. He responded to my calls and concerns promptly. Repair tech Edgar was very professional and skilled, also taking the time to address my concerns. He had no problem with me joining him up on the roof a few times (my ladder) to see how it was going. The repair was quite a bit of work, going late into the day, but he made sure it was done right. Great documentation including before, during, and after photos. I am practically a total do-it-yourselfer and a retired engineering manager. I know quality, professionalism, and service. I got all with Bone Dry and am very satisfied.

    Roof It Right
Men arrived to strip the roof about 20 minutes early. They did a good job. However, my husband found several nails in the yard. The installation of the roof left ripples and looked ridiculous. They left the roof like that and went for the day, quitting exactly at 5pm. I noticed it immediately upon returning home from work. My husband brought it to Sergei's attention the next day. Sergei went into our attic and braced the roof with boards. I don't know if that is quality or if it may cause our roof's demise. It's seems like a bandaid to me that should have been identified before putting on a new roof. Will our roof last as long as it should? Sergei was not available when the gutters were hung but the team did a good job with the gutters. Sergei brought the bill back and we paid. No sign was placed in our yard, making me wonder if he did not want to advertise that he did this job. Lots of red flags. We did not get the quality that everyone else described here on Angie's List.

Accepted the offer Sunday, estimate on Monday, new roof on Thursday. Very well done with very little clean up which was amazing considering they pulled the old roof off as well. Would highly recommend

Louisville Roof Repair and Replace, LLC
The insurance adjuster came and brought a certified roof inspector with him. The inspector walked the roof and made his notes in a report. Contrary to what I had been told, the roof had no hail or significant wind damage damage and only one shingle was loose and needed to be cemented to keep it firmly in place. Also, NO ONE FROM LOUISVILLE ROOF REPAIR CAME TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FORMAL INSPECTION BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. They did not have the courtesy to call and tell me that they would not be representing me when the insurance adjuster came. While I cannot speak to the quality of this company's work, I will never call them in the future for any roofing work, given the unprofessional and dishonest manner in which they initially attempted to solicit my business.

Bone Dry Roofing & Masonry - Louisville
Bone Dry was one of the very few companies that would take on the replacement. When the original team from Indianapolis (headed by Tim, who got the project off to a very good start) could not finish the job due to materials on back order , Adoon (manager, Louisville office) personally oversaw the project to completion. I appreciate Adoon's professionalism, patience, and attention to detail. Very nicely done!

After they installed my new roof, they came back to install new gutter covers. They had installed new gutters last years. The installation was very smooth and easy. They did a great job cleaning up and were very fast.

Was happy with their punctuality and professionalism. Only recommendation I would make is they only provided a verbal report, showing me snapshots on their cell phone of different areas of my roof that needed to be addressed. It would have been nice to have a follow up report emailed to me that summarized what they found and what measures were taken. The report should also include their evaluation of the roof's overall condition. This would be nice to have on hand should we decide to sell our home anytime in the near future.
