    Aable Appliance Repair
Technician arrived on time. Assessed the repair situations and recommended simple fixes, which did not cost extra. David was very courteous and "knew what he was doing". Also, I appreciated that I spoke with a live operator when I called for an appointment. I also liked the follow-up call about 30 minutes before announcing that the technician was on the way. Very professional!

    The Appliance Man
Having described the broken parts on first call, the repairman had all necessary things with him. Took a proper amount of time to do do a proper job and then some. Very satisfied with results. Although the charge was perhaps high, I feel I got the good results I paid for.

I am new to Louisville and rely on Angie's List reviews to help separate the wheat from the chaff, so to speak. Repaired a dryer door switch. Has technical ability to find exactly the right part when they come to your home providing it is on the truck. Sort of one stop shopping. Your appliance is up and running in no time. Total service call took 30 minutes. Called on a Saturday afternoon and repairman came at 8:00 am the following Monday. Professional demeanor. Very prompt service. Got a senior discount.

    Broughton Appliance Repair
Fast response, same day, amazing! As above. Worst case appeared to be compressor. Told me, if that was the case, he'd recommend considering a new one. Proceeded to clean coils and evaluate system. Quickly identified and replaced broken parts. Took extra care to clean system. Kept me informed of cause and solution. Gave me tips on future maintenance. Will definitely call him first for all my appliance needs.

    Jarboe's Plumbing, Heating & Cooling
They are punctual. They do the job. They are expensive. What they do, they do really well. It is cheaper than replacing the entire unit. Our blower was making a noise so we called them and they got it fixed. It is pretty good. I don't know what the going rate is in relation to price.

sent e-mail to contractor on Labor Day.  Contractor called at 8:00 am next morning.  Arranged to send technician between noon and three the same day.  Technician called ahead to advise he was on his way.  They arrived at 1:20 pm.  Quickly determined the problem.  Had replacement parts on the truck.  Used slides to protect our wood floors.  Replaced the motherboard in back of frig.  Everything worked perfect when completed.  Accepted my Angie's List coupon!  Done by 2:00 pm!  I would definitely recommend The Appliance Man!

I'm glad I got the warranty on our appliances. It has paid off and the warranty has backed up us when something had failed. The price varies depending on which warranty you get and which appliances are covered.

It was warrantee work so it was no cost to me. We had a little problem with their scheduling; however, the person they sent out was knowledgeable, capable, friendly, and easy to work with though he wasn?t in uniform. He came out early which was a problem.

Our General Electric washer malfunctioned during the Labor Day weekend. It overfilled, which caused water to spread out on the laundry room floor, and leak through to the basement. I looked on Angie's List, and picked Kenny's Appliances. I've always tried to deal with businesses that aren't afraid to put the owners' name on the business. It seems to me that any person willing to tie his name to his business takes pride in his work. Kenny's reviews on Angie's List seemed solid as well. I called, an as it was the holiday weekend, I got the answering machine. I left my name and number, and received a return call on the day after the holiday. I described the problem to the lady that called, and was told that she'd pass it along to Kenny. Later that day, Kenny called me. He diagnosed the probable cause by my description, told me that he was certain what part had failed, and that he'd have to order it. He'd called it in that day, he said, and as it was before two P.M., the parts supplier would be able to overnight the part. This was Tuesday, and with luck, he's have the part by Friday. After hearing nothing, I called Kenny Friday afternoon. He said that he'd check, and get back with me. He called me later, and said that it hadn't come in. Kenny called the following Tuesday that the part had arrived, and fixed the washer on Wednesday morning. To my disagreeable surprise, the total bill was two hundred and twenty dollars; ninety for the service call, thirty-five for the hour of labor, and ninety-five for the part. Are these charges too high? Since then, I've talked to three other appliance repair businesses, and it seems that Kenny charges about fifty percent more than others. Also, the part that was 'overnighted' and arrived a week later is a thirty-to-forty dollar item, as my search of parts suppliers revealed. To confirm this, I called Kenny after he left, and asked him to mail me that part. He agreed, quite amicably. As it hadn't arrived a week later, I called to request the same thing. Kenny apologized, said that he had forgotten, and as the part was on his workbench, and would mail it out that day. That was one month ago today. It has never arrived. Here is where I was at fault; I should have asked at the time of the original callback what the service charges were -- they weren't volunteered, and I didn't ask, an omission that I regret, and I'll never forget again. Also, I should have asked for the part before Kenny left the house. I was in a hurry to leave, and frankly, I was still so appalled at the price of the repair that I couldn't quite trust myself to bring it up at that moment. I have a strong temper that I struggle to control, and I've learned that I need to take a little time to reflect, especially when I think that I'm being diddled. Was the job Kenny did worth two hundred and twenty dollars? If it had been done in one or two days instead of eight days later, maybe, although I believe that someone else would have charged less. Kenny is obviously competent at repair, and is quite polite and pleasant to talk to. However, I'd suggest that it would pay him dividends to be up front about his service and labor charge. I acknowledge that it may have been an oversight that the woman who first contacted may have forgotten to mention them, but I can't eliminate the possibility that it was a deliberate omission. While Kenny did repair our washer, if you should have an appliance that needs repair, you may wish to shop around a little, first. It may save you a nasty surprise.

800 service number arranged for repair and dispatched technician. Technician called in advance of arrival and immediately diagnosed the problem and had the correct part with him to replace the defective one. Repair was completed quickly and efficiently. While they offered a one year warranty on their repair, there was not any pressure to purchase it. The repair was automatically warranted for 90 days.
