Lawn Care reviews in Crestview Hills

  • When I agreed to work with A & A Lawn Care, I had clear conditions. One was that the trucks and trailers had to be parked on the street and not on our driveway shared with other homes. I was told this would not be a problem. What I got was two trucks with trailers parked on the shared driveway. I asked the lead of the crew if he was going to move them and he said yes, and then walked away and started the mower. So they weren't going to move the trucks. I stopped and asked again and was told yes and then back to the mower. Clearly, he could not understand what I was saying. I then stopped him again, knowing that I had a car coming back from service at the dealership that was clean, and asked he and the crew start in the back and opposite side of the driveway to prevent the wet grass from getting all over the driveway and my car. Of course, this was also ignored and they started cutting toward the driveway. At this point, I said enough is enough and I told them pack it up and leave. My yard is about one-third cut, so it's a mess. They are no longer welcome on the property. I have attempted to reach the company to discuss, but if a crew is on a customer site on a Friday after they close the office and there is an issue, you are out of luck. This is a poorly run business. I am sure the company will post some sort of rebuttal, but no one who will write that was there, so it is hearsay at best. Keep that in mind as you review this. In the end, the company ignores what is required by the customer, and employees that show up either cannot understand or comprehend clear statements.

  • I obtained three different estimates before going with WhiteHouse Landscapes. I felt his pricing was average to better-than-average compared to other landscapers. The difference for me was the level of service. Michael did an excellent job of walking me through every stage of the process. I felt like he really listened to me and understood what I was looking for in a landscape design. He took the time to explain why he chose the plants he did and was able to send me information about all of them. He made changes to the design as requested, but was also honest about telling me what would work and what wouldn't. He really, really knows his stuff! When I requested a specific tree for purely sentimental reasons, he took the time to find out more about it and if it would work in my location. That small gesture really meant a lot! Michael was also willing to work in stages in the overall landscaping design, allowing me to see the outcome before moving forward. Again, this type of personal touch really meant a great deal. He was patient, kind, courteous, professional, and punctual.

  • As far as applying chemical fertilizer and week killer, this company is reputable and offers a competitive service. We used them for lawn care as well, but their team did a terrible job. It took me a couple months before I realized that the damaged siding and lacerations to our trees were caused by one of their guys carelessly using the weed eater.

  • Fantastic! Crew was responsible, hard working, and very professional. Solved the drainage issue. Looks great. Landscape architect met with me and made multiple suggestions, listened carefully, and developed a plan. Implementation 10 days later. Paperwork clearly indicated billing and what to expect.

  • They have done a great job with the spring clean up and then spraying for weeds.  It looks a lot better then with a prior company.
They mow our grass weekly and do a great job with that as well.  We paid ~ 3000 for the year but I believe ~ 1/2 went to the spring clean up (landscaping) and maintenance. They also spray for weeds in the landscaping but also the lawn and mow the lawn weekly.
Therefore, we have turned over the entire outside of our house to them and very happy we did this.

  • Our only issue we’ve ever had with them is startup in the spring and it happens every year.  He agrees it’s an issue they need to deal with but for the past 2 years it’s been a problem.  During spring rainy season all the neighbors (who also use various lawn services) seem to somehow be getting their grass cut but ours is pushing 12”  and looks a mess before A&A can get to us because “it’s been too wet”.  Once they get started they are on top of it all summer and everything runs smoothly.  But we’ve had to really pester them for the past 2 years to get going in the Spring.  They’re just so nice and do such a good job the rest of the time we’ve stayed with them.  I’d probably give them a B+ rating.

  • Andrew contacted me immediately after my inquiry, and scheduled the work for the next day. His two man crew arrived promptly, and completed the work very thoroughly and professionally. The entire experience was excellent, from my initial contact, to the completion of the work. Based on this experience, I'll be utilizing A&A for all of my lawn and landscaping needs next year.

  • The crew arrived on time and began work quickly. It was clear they had worked together as a team for a while. Everyone seemed to know exactly was their role was. They needed to get a wood moving device and the stump grinder into my back yard, but could not do that without edging a bit over into my neighbor's yard. I was pleased with the care they took to avoid any damage to their yard. When they were finished, they raked up my yard and swept my driveway and left everything in great shape. I was pleased to see that my neighbors came over to ask them to trim the tops on a couple of large trees at their place. It was a polite and courteous crew and a pleasure to work with.

  • This was the second treatment for the year.  My first from The Lawn Guys /Unique Lawn Care was in May; prior to that I had a treatment in March from a former lawn service company.  At best I have to say I am disappointed.  I had to call to ask for my July treatment because my lawn had so many weeds (and a Grub treatment added that I did not order and didn't pay for).  In mid August I called because of weeds again.  It took seven days for someone to come and do spot treatments; only part of the weeds were sprayed.
Aside from my lawn not looking any better than what I had from my previous lawn care company, I was frustrated by the promise made to me in a phone solicitation in May about "how great my lawn would look".  It didn't happen.
Frustrating to say the least.  I have cancelled the service and gone with another company.

  • My previous provider, Nitro Lawn, merged or was acquired by Nature's Way.  I was extremely pleased with Greg Smith and Nitro Lawn.  He is still involved with the company and still covers my address, although the  quality is not quite what it used to be.  The second treatment burned a section of my grass, and while they did come out and look at it and actually took responsibility, it is a month later and my yard still has not recovered.
I will continue to use Nature's Way for now, but if the quality continues to decline, I will have to start weighing options.
