    Luckhardt Lawn Svc
Professional lawncare people who like what they do and do it well. They do firewood in the winter and know there way around a chain saw so I had them do some treework as well. Top notch and highly recommended.

I got two quotes, for weekly ($105) and biweekly ($115). They cut my grass weekly until early July, when I asked them to come biweekly. They never showed up after that. No number of phone calls to the office helped. Yes, well have someone come out. And no one showed up. Called again and asked for the owner to call me. Yes, well have Andrew call you. Andrew never called. After three weeks, when my grass was a foot tall, I called another company. Terrible business people.

    A & A Lawncare & Landscaping
When I agreed to work with A & A Lawn Care, I had clear conditions. One was that the trucks and trailers had to be parked on the street and not on our driveway shared with other homes. I was told this would not be a problem. What I got was two trucks with trailers parked on the shared driveway. I asked the lead of the crew if he was going to move them and he said yes, and then walked away and started the mower. So they weren't going to move the trucks. I stopped and asked again and was told yes and then back to the mower. Clearly, he could not understand what I was saying. I then stopped him again, knowing that I had a car coming back from service at the dealership that was clean, and asked he and the crew start in the back and opposite side of the driveway to prevent the wet grass from getting all over the driveway and my car. Of course, this was also ignored and they started cutting toward the driveway. At this point, I said enough is enough and I told them pack it up and leave. My yard is about one-third cut, so it's a mess. They are no longer welcome on the property. I have attempted to reach the company to discuss, but if a crew is on a customer site on a Friday after they close the office and there is an issue, you are out of luck. This is a poorly run business. I am sure the company will post some sort of rebuttal, but no one who will write that was there, so it is hearsay at best. Keep that in mind as you review this. In the end, the company ignores what is required by the customer, and employees that show up either cannot understand or comprehend clear statements.

They recommended a scheme, provided an accurate quote and timeline, performed the work and left the yard looking amazing! I'd definitely hire them again. (They moved bushes, filled in holes in the lawn, leveled out a sloped area, removed overgrown non-native species we'd been unable to rid our law of previously and planted some new things in our yard.)

    Holtman Lawn Service
Difficult to communicate with. Poor performance. High cost for what was actually done. Weeding/mulch placement : Initially wanted weeds removed and landscape fabric placed on top. Tim felt landscape fabric would be visible under mulch and advised against saying that the mulch would kill the weeds. When areas were examined I found that weeds were not removed. Mulch simply placed on top. Tim came back out when I called to complain. Simply used weed eater to sever weeds. I supplied Preen to be put down. Most of what I supplied was not used and remains in container. Now weeds have returned and I will need to remove. Cutting back shrubs and brush. : Had to have Tim come back to complete his work as he did only what was visible fom the street and did not complete the work in the back yard. Raised beds: Discussed at onset of project. In the end after 3 weeks of discussion, Tim shifted responsibilty for finding vendor and placing order for dirt/ arranging for delivery back to me. I found another landscaper to do the work. Chipping brush in compost area: Never did. I hired someone else.

I use them every quarter and I like them a lot. I like that they explain what they're doing and what they see and they're also very friendly. One person came out and worked about an hour. He was very friendly.

    CitiTurf LLC
They charge $33 bi-weekly. Sometimes, especially at the beginning, if it rains they don't always send out a message on when they'll make up the date. The workers are good. About three people come and they're here about fifteen minutes. They leave the yard  clean.

Everyone I spoke with was very nice, but my lawn looks worse than it ever has. I asked them to come out and help me with all of the dead patches of grass and told them I had a root issue. I asked if the roots needed to be dug up before grass was planted. I was told it did not. I asked if I could get a warranty or some sort if the grass didn't survive, etc. I was told no because I would need to take care of it properly. I paid for the initial grass seed to be laid and watered it meticulously (I googled how to take care of it). There was about a foot of straw covering almost my entire yard. I was given no instructions on when to get the hay up/how, when/how to water, etc. I eventually just pulled it up the hay and saw some grass growing. I then bought a package for A&A to come out and treat for weeds and to continue to help it along. By the end of the last season, I can honestly say my yard has never looked worse. There are more weeds than EVER (more weeds than grass), none of the grass survived and there are now more bald/dead patches than ever. The roots/mushrooms have taken over even the previously healthy grass. I didn't mind spending the money/buying the package because I thought I would finally have a nice. healthy lawn. I was totally wrong and will now need to spend the money again somewhere else. The only reason I didn't give an F rating is because all of the people were very nice, so this is very unfortunate.

    Whitehouse Landscapes
I obtained three different estimates before going with WhiteHouse Landscapes. I felt his pricing was average to better-than-average compared to other landscapers. The difference for me was the level of service. Michael did an excellent job of walking me through every stage of the process. I felt like he really listened to me and understood what I was looking for in a landscape design. He took the time to explain why he chose the plants he did and was able to send me information about all of them. He made changes to the design as requested, but was also honest about telling me what would work and what wouldn't. He really, really knows his stuff! When I requested a specific tree for purely sentimental reasons, he took the time to find out more about it and if it would work in my location. That small gesture really meant a lot! Michael was also willing to work in stages in the overall landscaping design, allowing me to see the outcome before moving forward. Again, this type of personal touch really meant a great deal. He was patient, kind, courteous, professional, and punctual.
