    After following this eye care group from Highland Heights to Fort Thomas to Wilder over the years, I will never return after the way I was treated there in September. My exam was fine and I like Dr. Douglas Garbig. The problem came when the technician returned my glasses to me (after taking them to another room to check the prescription) with oily prints on the lenses. I used my lens cleaner wipes to clean them and while looking through the lenses as I was cleaning them, saw that both lenses were scratched - the right lens really badly scratched. I did not come in with scratched lenses and told Dr. Garbig who said they'd "take care of it.". When my exam was over, he had a staff member try to "buff out" the scratches. It didn't work and I was unhappy but was not asking them for anything. I just wanted him to know that his tech wasn't being careful. I paid my bill and waited for my new prescription to be printed out. Then Dr. Garbig's wife came out and asked me to go in the back with her where she proceeded to treat me like a liar who was trying to scam them. She said their equipment could not have caused the scratches and asked how I normally cleaned the lenses. I noticed that she, too, put fingerprints on the lenses when she looked through them. I never touch my lenses that way. I showed her the LenCrafter wipes I use on my lenses (which have worked to keep my lenses scratch free for two years) and she said she "was not familiar" with that product. An optician who is unfamiliar with lens wipes is poorly educated, I'd say. I left there paying 112.00 for my exam, and angry that I was being treated so poorly after being a good client for several years. Perhaps they do get scammed by people wanting new glasses or something, but I asked for nothing from them and will never return or recommend them to anyone I know.

    I like them real well. The facility is fine. The availability is great. I was a little disappointed with billing, because last fall, during the open benefits of my wife's insurance plan, they were listed as a participating in a specific plan, and that is why I took the plan, but when I went there, they said they were no longer participating in the plan.

    I see Dr Bowman here. She is very cordial, knowledgeable, professional and upbeat. The staff is extremely professional and very helpful. They are courteous, friendly and good. They take time to help me in collecting the frames and selecting them.
