They told us that you would make sure that the drainage from the sump pump would connect to the drain tile that was installed prior to your job and ran to the back edge of my property. In fact, they said if it was necessary, they would dig up the old one and replace it. They also said they would check the drainage from the gutters and clean them out if needed. None of this was done! They ran a PVC pipe from the sump pump to the middle of our flower bed in the back. The water rushed out and washed the mulch away and then creates puddles in the flower bed. They did finally come back out and corrected the problem. We did have some settling that they came out and took care of. We were quoted a price of $13,000 for the job. During the work they found another small crack and charged us $1,800 additional to repair that. We asked for reimbursement for that charge, but have not heard back from them. We did expect some damage to our property, but as much as we had. We had branches broken off on two trees by the backhoe. They also turned under a flower bed and rock garden without saying anything. The worst part was the lack of professionalism. After the initial work was completed, the foreman came to the door wanting to be paid. I was not home at the time and my wife did not know from which account I was going to pay it. She explained this to the employee, and he got rude with her. He said the money is due when the work is completed. He said he would be back in a few minutes and wanted the money. We had a lot of settling where they had dug around the house and I called their office to get someone out to correct the problems. The manager came out and said they would take care of the issues. During my conversation with him, in the presence of my wife and daughter, he was cursing very badly, including a couple of “F-Bombs”. When they came out to fill in the settling their supervisor told us they would not come back again for free. For the money spent, I think that this is the most disappointed I have ever been with a service company.

This is a follow-up from December 2013 when "Foundation Masters" did foundation work for me.
At the time it was also necessary that the entire garage floor needed replacement, however it was decided to wait until spring (2014) to do the work.  When spring arrived Jeff and I set up a tentative start date. Jeff got very busy in the spring so we worked to reschedule, and were able to set a start date for the end of May. Even though Jeff was very busy with other jobs he was able meet the schedule and got the job done. Jeff and his crew showed up bright and early, and soon had the entire garage floor broken up and removed. Once the old floor was removed, there were some unexpected conditions with the foundation. Jeff took care of this with some extra bracing on the foundation. This was not figured in the quote, but Jeff worked it in at no additional cost.

The next day the crew was back again and the concrete truck rolled in right on schedule. As my driveway is not very strong, it was necessary to wheelbarrow the concrete to the garage. The guys kept it moving, and the garage floor was finished in short order. The entire operation was supervised by Jeff. Even though Jeff is the owner of Foundation Masters he is also a 'hand's on' guy who gets right in there with the rest of the crew. One other thing I liked about Foundation Masters. I am a Navy veteran, and found out that one of the guys on the crew is an Army veteran. I am always grateful to see employers hiring veterans. Jeff has told me that he is expanding his operations to the Tampa Florida area and will be working with homeowners there with "sink-hole issues" as well as foundation work. If you live in the Tampa area and are having problems, with foundation, or Sink Hole issues, as well as other structural issues, you might want to get hold of Jeff to see what he has to offer. He did fine for me on my foundation and garage floor.

My garage foundation wall had cracked and settled in a few
places. I had two bids on the job. The first bid required that I would have to have
piers driven into the ground to support the foundation and would require digging
up around the outside of my house. I would also have to remove an existing deck
to make room for the digging. The second bid was with Foundation Masters. I schedule
a meeting and Jeff arrived at my house right on time (actually a little early).
We reviewed the situation and essentially Jeff's solution would be the same by
driving piers to support the foundation. However Jeff's concept was much
simpler, and cost considerably less, by installing the piers from the inside,
which required much less digging. It did require breaking through the garage
floor in several areas, which was then replaced with new concrete.
The work began mid-December, with a full crew. When the
digging was complete, there was some unexpected cracking that was not visible,
and this required additional piers. Jeff had already quoted me a price, and
even though the additional piers would cost more, Jeff kept the price he originally
quoted (including a Senior Citizen discount).
All the work was completed in two days followed with a thorough
I also had Jeff quote me a new garage floor as the existing
one was also cracked and sunken down. However because it was December, I did
not want to do this in the cold weather and not be able to use my garage for a
few days, so we decided to wait till spring.

We are very happy with the work they did for us in the drainage around the house. We did not report our feelings about the job right away because we wanted to find out how everything worked after the winter and  spring rains. We only had one problem,  in which one of the caps came off of one of the drainage clean outs while we were cutting the grass. They answered our call to them soon after we called and came out and fixed the problem and gave us a new cap also.
