    The Eye Care Institute
The wait time was approximately 20 minutes from the time I arrived until I was taken to an exam room. The person performing the exam was very friendly and did a good job of explaining what was going to happen as she tested my eyes. Following her initial exam, I met with the doctor to go over the results. He didn't spend much time with me since it was determined that I was not a candidate for lasix. He did explain an alternative, which I wasn't interested in. He suggested I make an appointment for the following year for a basic eye exam in their regular eye department. He suggested I continue to wear reading glasses, as needed. He was professional and courteous.

    Hesse, Dr. Matt
Went for an exam and went though all the checks. Turned out my vision problems were related to kidney failure and I was four pints low on blood which didn't help anything.

    Commonwealth Eye Surgery
Orginally I went in for a consulation for Lasik surgery. Upon examination they said I had cataracts and needed them removed. It was determined that I would remove the cataracts and only need reading or distance glasses. The first surgery went well. The second surgery was more difficult. My eye hurt and burned more and I didn't see as clearly at a distance. In addition, night time driving was dangerous due to the halos surrounding the car lights. At this time the halo's are getting better. After doing research, I found out this is a side effect. After two months I returned to the surgery center and was examined again. The doctor assured me that if I was not happy I could have some tweaking done for the distance. I feel more comfortable now with my decision. I can work on my computer without glasses and read larger print fine with out the add of reading glasses. Reading glasses are needed for small print. My distance vision is ok but in order for it to be sharper glasses will be needed for that. My recomendation is to do your homework regarding cataract surgery. You need to understand and decide which lens should be implanted for the most optiminal vision for you. Each person will be different and only you can make that decision. I would recomend the Commonwealth Eye Surgery Center for eye care.

    McClanahan Eye Care
First off, I cannot say anything about McClanahan himself because my daughters eye doc is Dr. Adams who (I guess) is McClanahans partner. But I have only met Dr. McClanahan fleetingly. That said, I love Dr. Adams. He was helpful, informed, and sweet to my 3 year old daughter on her very first trip to the eye doc. When I was confused about her condition he sat her and I both down and broke out his model of the human eye and explained it all in detail for us. Also the office staff here is wonderful, they literally spent at least a half an hour following my little girl around helping her try on pair after pair of little glasses. They also let her pick out her own free glasses case. We felt really taken care of there. Since we have had the glasses for about 8 months now, I have to say....I dont think they are very good quality, they are not fit for and quot;kid wearand quot;, but I guess that doesnt really have anything to do with the doctors office itself. AND, every time a screw came out or a nose piece came off I called and they told me to come in and fix it, no appt needed. Once the entire ear piece snapped off and they replaced them with our warranty and fixed them with a similar piece that day. So that she wouldnt have to wait for the warranty pair. We have never ever had to wait for an appointment more than a few hours, and my little girls eyes are much better. We love McClanahan eye care!

    London Eye Care
We loved the staff! I have a six year old that was having trouble with his eyes, always blinking and holding his books real close to his face. They all made a game out of his visit, but in a professional way so he would feel comfortable and not afraid of the equipment. Great Job. He loves his glasses!
