Pet Care & Health reviews in Ashland

They are just very complete and thorough. They take their time to talk to the owners about their pets. They just provide excellent care. My animals have always done very well and better. The staff is super friendly. They are animal lovers. They enjoy and spend time with the animals. They are all loving with them. It definitely causes my animals to enjoy it -- as much as our animals enjoy their trip to the vet. Our pets have seen three or four different vets out of that one clinic and they love them all. They are very kind. They obviously know animals. They know how to treat them and how to handle them. My animals do great when they are there. They were wonderful through my cat's death. They even sent us sympathy card signed by the entire staff.

She is very professional yet personable. She definiately has the animals best interest at heart. One Friday afternoon at apx 5 p.m. my dog had had mulltiple seizures during the day and his medicine was not controlling the seizures as it had in the past. My daughter-in-law called and Dr Sandage told us to come right over. She kept him overnight and gave him the necessary medicine. By morning he was back to his normal self.
I definiately have found a wonderful vet in this woman. She is amazing and such a great person.

I had a horse that I was afraid was having colic and I had used Tri State earlier for health certificate and immunizations for the horse when I bought him so I called them and since it was after hours, I had to leave a number for the on call person for the practice who called me a short time later. I began to explain what was going on with my horse and his cell phone dropped the call. I waited for him to call again but after 30 minutes, he did not call. I called and left my number again, but he never called back, despite knowing that my horse was potentially colicking. I waited another 10-15 minutes then when no one called, I called a different veterinarian and had a much better experience.
As I said before, I have used Tri State in the past, and the staff was friendly and pleasant and their prices for services were very reasonable. My only complaint is that when the chips were down and I had a horse that potentially had a life-threatening condition, they let me down.

Don't remember what the cost was, but it was very inexpensive. Dr. Brown at the time was running a clinic at Ohio University Southern Equine facility as part of the veterinary assistant program that he was an instructor for. He did a great job and the clinic was very inexpensive. I have not utilized Dr. Brown's services since he left OU, because he is too far away from my home, but at the time, I was very happy with his services and his fees.

The Vet I saw was great with Mayah and also with me. He answered all my questions and listened to my concerns. Very professional and kind to me and Mayah. The staff were very friendly and loved on Mayah. They all said how cute and sweet she was. They all pet her and held her.

Spectacular! Susie kept our Great Dane puppy for four days while we were out of town. He has never done well away from home. He ate well and was treated with all the affection that we would give him ourselves. He had a large room to play and sleep in, and ample opportunities to run outside and play. She even sent us text updates on how he was doing!

My puppy has been going here since we got him. All through the puppy shots and surgery for stomach tacking, he has not been scared--he actually enjoys going!  So far the best experience I've had with veterinarians!

Office hours are first come, first served. The staff is super friendly and the wait is not long. Be sure to get there 15 minutes or so before office hours to be assured of being seen first. The doctor offers great advice and preventative measures if you are interested. No pressure if you're not going to get it done.  Payment options are available. Super satisfied with my dog's care.

My 13 yr. old dog had been having some inflamation issues for some time.  I took him to Dr. Wieneke  who ran blood work and tried several different medications, but nothing seemed to be helping him.  I made the decision to just let "nature take it's course" as he was so old and it was obvious that his health was failing rapidily.  When it got to the point that he couldn't eat anymore, I made the decision to have him euthenized.  The staff at All Creatures could not have been more compassionate and understanding.  I was a basket case when I took my dog in, and am so thankful that they didn't think I was crazy.  They were so professional and understanding, I even received a sympathy card a few days later.  The reason the cost was so high was because I decided to have him cremated seperately so I could have his ashes back.  I would definately recommend this clinic to everyone in the area, they are truly wonderful people who care for animals and their owners.
