Description

My name is Randy Teegarden, founder of Teegarden HVAC, LLC. Our history started back in the late 1970’s, when I worked as a helper for a large heating and air conditioning company in Northern Kentucky. It was there that I was trained in installations, and started my training in service work. Not long after that, I obtained a position as a service tech with another company, running calls on my own. Through the years, I worked service for different companies, and advanced to a service manager at a union heating and air conditioning company in Cincinnati, Ohio. While I was there, I started and managed a residential heating and air department for that company. I was also instrumental in initiating a flat rate service for their technicians. Through my 35 years of experience, I am knowledgeable in all areas of service and installation, as well as light commercial, geothermal, and oil-fired equipment. I have licenses in both Kentucky and Ohio; and am ACE and NATE certified. In 2006, after much consideration, I started my own company, Teegarden Heating and Air Conditioning....

Russell arrived 2 hrs earlier than expected (fantastic!), went right to work, found out the issue was a clogged & dirty filter which we replaced; and he advised me on some other points. My heat stopped working. I had never called Teegarden HVAC before, but they had an A rating on Angie's List. So I bought the 79. offer on Angie's List and decided to give them a try. When the receptionist said they couldn't work me in today because of staff being ill, I heard the owner (I assumed) in the background, saying, "We can do it today, but it'll have to be late in the day." I really appreciated him working me in... not just handing me the "sorry, not today" line. That's the kind of customer service our grandparents got, that we hardly see anymore.

I bought the $79 coupon and you get to request appointment times. I did and after a few days still had not received a call to confirm anything. I called them and a very pleasant woman answered. She told me they don't confirm times only days. You have to be home the entire day. They can not even give you morning or afternoon. The first time, Mr. Teegarden diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly and efficiently. I could tell the difference between his service and that of one of the bigger shops who send inexperienced techs out and don't really know what they're doing. The second time, my problem was also fixed very quickly and inexpensively to my full satisfaction.

They showed up on Wednesday August 24th just as promised. We weren't really sure what to expect but were surprised that they brought several people and really went at it. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
On August 18th our air conditioning broke to the point where it was non repairable. At least too expensive to repair the existing system. Because it was 15 years old we decided to bite the bullet and get a new HVAC system in whole. We contacted several suppliers and received multiple bids to do the work. Teegarden came out to look at the existing system and gave us a bid also. They were very thorough and also talked to us about the possible options. They were very knowledgeable in regards to this system and what would be a good fit for our house and budget. We decided to have them do the work. They also told us that since we were without air during such a hot period they would get to us as quickly as possible. They were able to actually set us up for an install in just a couple of days.

I used Teegarden only because my homeowner's warranty company said I had to.   I had already had another company come out and explain the problem.  I waited 2 days after my first call to Teegarden and paid $65 for them to come and tell me what I already knew.  I had to call back the next day to get a quote to clean the boiler and schedule another trip.  They quoted me $495.  Waited another 3 busin...

My boiler vented through the chimney and the chimney became blocked which caused my boiler to fill up with soot and break down.  Teegarden was contracted to clean the soot out of my boiler and get it functioning again.
