Transmission Service reviews in Wichita

It took about a week for my car to be done. When I did pick it up it was still not running right. It seemed like there was no work actually done because the car would still not drive right. Also the car still overheats. But after thousands of dollars spent and still no working car I decided not to keep taking my car back because they keep trying to charge me more money for something that I already paid to be fixed. Just because I am a woman doesn't mean that I don't know when someone is basically scamming you out of money. If you want to be charged Alot of money and still have a broke down car then you can go to future transmissions.

Prior to a long road trip we took our Kia Sorento in to have the transmission serviced. On our way back from our trip we noticed the transmission started shifting hard. Upon our return we took the car back to the garage for him to see what the issue was as he was the one to service it. He said sure for another 100 bucks. We then took the car to Midas as we have a family member who works for them. They checked the transmission and found it had less than half the transmission fluid it needed and in addition the wrong fluid was put in our vehicle. The transmission was essentially destroyed. The owner of the garage simply shrugged his shoulders and essentially said too bad. If you value your vehice in any way never take it to the garage for any kind of service or repair.

Prior to having Midwest rebuild my transmission, I called three transmission repair shops in Wichita to get estimates. The Chrysler dealer offered to rebuild it for around $3,500. The other 3 independent repair shops' bids were approximately 40% - 50% less than the dealer's quote.

Although Midwest's bid was not the least nor was it the highest, my wife and I were impressed with how Terry answered our detailed questions regarding the parts, work and service being offered. He was able to take the vehicle in a timely manner. Along the way, we were kept updated on the progress of the service work and any adjustments to the scope of work were handled smoothly. I was particularly impressed that some unnecessary items were skipped, resulting in cost savings.

When picking up the vehicle, I was asked to bring it back to them (at no cost to me) after 500 miles so they could check it over for any potential problems. I have not noticed any problems whatsoever with the work provided, but will definitely take it back in to have it checked over.

I was extremely pleased with the high level of professionalism experienced by me throughout the whole process. I definitely recommend Midwest to anyone who needs a new or rebuilt transmission. The customer service I received from Midwest far exceeded the level of customer service from the Chrysler dealership. I firsthand saw the integrity with which Midwest operates its business. I am convinced that I received great service at a very fair price.

1 week later I started out on the highway and the transmission stopped shifting on me. I brought it back, they did some kind of adjustment to it. It didn't last long either. I brought it back again, and they were trying to schedule me for a later date. Every time I called them to bring it in they told me they didn't have a rack available to put it on, basically giving me the run around until I got tired of dealing with it.

With nearly 200,000 miles on my 2003 Acura MDX, I want to ensure the vehicle continues to run and run.  After having such a good experience the last time Curtis and his team serviced one of our vehicle transmissions, I took another vehicle back to Curtis.
Curtis checked out the tranny, said it was running well, and then serviced the transmission and differential.
I'm looking forward to many more miles with this beast of a vehicle.
I highly recommend Curtis and his team at World Wide Transmission whether you need major transmission service, or want to just perform routine maintenance to keep your vehicles running on down the road.

My daughter bought a used 2005 Lexus RX 330 knowing it needed some transmission work.  After shopping around and checking reviews, we settled on World Wide Transmission.  The vehicle had a leaking transfer case and also needed transmission and differential servicing.  We dropped it off with Curtis and his team at WWT.  They removed the transmission, re-sealed the leaking transfer case, and then serviced the transfer case, transmission, and rear differential.
I don't always write my reviews right away to ensure the job has been done right (I assumed Curtis and the team at WWT would do a great job) and will provide long-term satisfaction after the service.  Today, two years later, the vehicle is still running like a champ with no leaks or issues of any sort.
I highly recommend Curtis and his team at World Wide Transmission.  They tell you what might be wrong, check out the problem, and then give you their verdict and price estimate.  More than that, two years after the service, the vehicle runs like it should with no service issues.

Heartland Transmission gave good service. The staff is very friendly. They are upfront and the price quote I was given is right on. They answered every question. Then only thing is that I asked them to email me a parts list but never did. I have never had an issue with the transmission since then though, and by far they are the best. I will use them again.

After looking at our car, he decided we did not have transmission problems and correctly diagnosed we had problems with the engine missing on cylinder #3.
John spent time and effort to look at our car and refused to charge us.  Truly a refreshing experience in the world of auto repair shops.  I would highly recommend him as an honest car repairman and definitely will take my vehicles there if they experience transmission problems.

I took my fiancee's Dodge Intrepid into Rob's Transmission to have Russ look at it, he hooked up the scanner and drove it and ran a complete diagnostic on it, and did not charge us for the diagnostic. Upon running the diagnostic he found that  It was sticking in second gear and would not shift to the other gears, so he decided to pull the transmission pan off to see what if anything was in the pan, what he did find was friction dust in the bottom of the pan. At the time I thought it was the solenoid pack which is mounted on the inside of the transmission which Russ showed me when the pan was pulled off, Russ figured it might be the lockout torque converter, both Russ and I decided that because the car had 109,551 miles on it he and I figured it was time to rebuild it, so I called my fiancee and told her the news, her and I both were in agreement to go ahead and have the transmission rebuilt. The day after he pulled the transmission. After he had pulled the transmission I was able to go into the shop to see it being rebuilt which was a real treat for me to get to do, because there are not many shops that allow the customers back into the shop to see what they are doing, that show's me that they are very honest about what they are doing, that also show's me the integrity that they have. For being only a two man shop, they both know what they are doing. They have earned my respect and earned my business. I will definitely have have my transmission rebuilt in my Chevrolet Silverado when the time comes. I highly recommended them to my mom, and I highly, highly recommend them to anyone who wants there transmission rebuilt the right way and it taken care of the right way. When we got the car back it shifted so smooth and ran so well, I cannot tell you how happy I am about how we were treated and the service we received. The transmission was very well done and I can't thank Russ enough for the job that he did.
