Stucco Repair reviews in Shawnee

    Calini Properties
Work was done over a period of several weeks. Arrival times were unpredictable. Work was done professionally for a reasonable price. There were some concerns with cosmetic appearance so the contractor came out and made corrections, which helped but did not completely resolve our concerns. As of 09/23/2014 contractor has done no further amendments.

The service has been excellent. We have used them for years and years. We would not call anyone else. They are polite and they clean up after themselves. They are extremely neat with the work and they are very pleasant to work with. They never leave anything around and the work is always very clean. The cost is very reasonable and that is one of the reasons that we keep going back. When Jeff says they will be at our home, his guys always show up right when they say they will. They come and start the process of the work and they wait for that part of it to dry and then they go to other jobs. I have never had an issue leaving when they were at my home as they are very honest.

    Bordner Home Improvement
Bordner was the only company that had the product I wanted but the prices were very high.  The prices were not out of line for the product but out of my budget for outside home improvements.  I was very interested in their stucco options until they explained they apply stucco is small sections and piece the sections together because this way if the stucco cracks, it can be replaced in smaller sections.  As soon as I heard about the stucco's cracking probability, I decided that was not the product for me.  Bordner was the only company I found with the best choice for cement board.  It was the highest quality, the most beautiful and had the best guarantee.  The only reason I did not use Bordner was because a local real estate agent informed me that if I invested $22K + to outside home improvements, that I would not be able to recoup the improvement costs in the sale of my home. The only value it added to the sale of a home was curb appeal which increases a faster sale of property.  I decided to perform wood rot repair & painting instead for a third of the cost of new cement board siding.  If I win the lotto, I'll definitely call Bordner to install cement siding.  My only other concern was my salesman took a long time in getting me my bids.  Instead of emailing them to me, he insisted on delivering them in person, then he didn't have them formally written up, he game them to me verbally from notes and measurements he took on prior visits and then took an additional week to email the final written bids to me.  I have had Bordner do roof repairs in the past and always had excellent service so I would hope this was not indicative of the delivery of product and installation when making such a large purchase with them.  I would/will use Bordner in the future.  Hope this helps someone.

    Premier Painting Co., LLC
We have dealt with Premier for over 10 years at two residences, both on an hourly and a per-estimate basis. Previous jobs have involved interior wall and trim work, exterior trim painting, and wood rot and stucco repair. The most recent job involved matching and brushing oil-based enamel on interior doors and a built-in cabinet, as well as exterior trim paint on the front door. The painters were punctual and respectful of the fact that "real life" was happening in the other parts of the house. The quality of the work was excellent.

    Total Home
Pat Strand of Total Home was the first to respond to several requests for bids for a total tear out and replacement of all windows (see separate entry for windows) as well as siding rot repair and full-house re-siding. He prepared one of the clearest and detailed estimates, providing breakout pricing for areas which had several options (ex: for soffit/fascia we could paint the existing, replace with fibercement, or cover with vinyl wrap). In addition, he was very collegial, yet professional, and never salesy/pressuring (like some of the representatives from the larger, more established one-stop window and siding companies in the area that we also spoke with). Our next door neighbors also contracted with Pat for siding and gutters shortly after us. The siding crew was very impressive. They were very efficient and thorough. Overall, we were very impressed with the siding material and installation and have recommended Total Home to others. My biggest concern was using a smaller company for such an extensive job, but it worked out extremely well. Pat featured our home on his website and is submitting it for an award from a remodeling association.

I called the company twice over about a 1 week period. Both times I was told the someone would call back within a few days to schedule a time to meet to go over the work needing to be performed. Both times no one ever called back.

Jim and Rosemary McCoy presented their proposal with happy faces and a decent price. They replaced some trim boards and sealed the stucco. When they came back for inspection (and payment), we told them they did not paint the trim, and there was a lot of overspray. We asked them to replace some trim boards on the chimney, and they noticed a window that needed repair and bid on that. When they came to do the trim, they did not paint the trim in full as they quoted, but just touched up spots, mostly their overspray. Mr. McCoy acted perturbed that he had to paint the trim at all. We paid them for the job, and they said they'd return the following week to finish the job. From that point on, we had difficulty getting them to return our calls. It took a month before we could get them to return. They replaced the lower trim boards on the chimney but not the higher ones. When Rosemary called for additional payment, we advised they did not finish the job. We have not heard from them since.

This was a very positive experience with a such a remarkable outcome. Kenny Moore was the sales rep/master re-dasher. He was terrific at getting back to us with all of our phone calls. He has a professional answering service handle his messages and he is prompt about getting back to you. He was extremely helpful with us as my wife and I were indecisive about the color. He provided many color samples, lathe and cement with the color. He was also willing to visit houses that we saw that we liked a color or texture. The crew was very polite and friendly. They did a great job in communicating during the job. They made us part of the decision making process at any point where there was a question about how to proceed. They were also very amenable when it came to removing and patching 2 old electrical conduit ceramic junctures that were still attached to the house. Great crew and service.
