I have been going to this vet clinic for over 18 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have all been so caring to my animals during this time. I think they are fantastic and I would not go to anybody else!

I took my dog in for grooming. I had to pay for a checkup prior to the groom even though my dog was healthy and he'd been seen by another vet within the last year. Dr. Humphrey was fine. The grooming was bad. When I dropped him off, I asked for mats to be cut out, and Chris shaved half his feathering. He had a chunk of fur left long on one side of the top of his head. She took him back and shaved that off. His inside ears weren't touched. She took him back again. I talked to her about trimming between his toes so he wouldn't get mats but his paws weren't touched except a ragged job of cutting nails that were split that night. We talked about her trimming off ends of his feathering and none of that was done. It took 6 phone calls over a week's time frame before they called me back. I took him in again for the paws and again, it was a lousy job. She barely trimmed the bottom, didn't get between the toes and didn't touch the top fur of the paws. Lazy or incompetent... I don't know but I won't be back. They gave me a partial refund. I took him somewhere else.

They're really nice and always keep their wash stations very well stocked. They have the shampoo and conditioner and all that stuff right there, ready to use. They provide anything you would need to groom your dog.

    CAT CLINIC OF JOHNSON COUNTY

They are an excellent provider. I have been taking my cats here since 1985. We have two older cats who are on daily medication. They also do boarding which are excellent, we have used it several times.

The reason I gave them the rating I did is because they did a poor job on my Westie. They cut is skirt uneven, shaved the back too close and didn't trim nails or his belly. I am letting him grow out before I can find another groomer who knows how to do Westies properly.

    La Petique Dog Grooming Salon
Took my new dog in for a grooming. When I picked her up I was very pleased how comfortable she was. I would highly recommend La Petique Dog Grooming Salon as I was concerned about the length of the cut but she looked great.

On the last appointment, the groomer nicked her eye. Knowing that small dogs move quite a bit I normally would not judge so harshly. However I was home when it happened. PetSmart did not call me to notify me of the incident. Instead they immediately took my dog to their Banfield Pet Clinic without my authorization and pumped her full of antibiotics. I only learned about the accident when I went to pick her up. I was asked to wait and started worrying when my dog did not appear for 15 minutes. I went back to the counter and asked what was happening. I finally dragged the story out of the grooming manager. Of course, I whisked my dog home and kept a close eye on her. She became extremely lethargic and was falling over. That night, I rushed her to the emergency vet in Mission. Banfield had overdosed her small 11 pound body with antibiotics. Long story short is after spending $400 at the emergency room to flush her system, my dog was okay. She fortunately did not lose her vision as it was a small nick on her bottom eyelid. Again, I understand that dogs squirm during grooming, but PetSmart tried to hide the accident and mis-treated her without my knowledge. I will NEVER return to any store in the chain.

I spent $30 on that service. I continue using them because they are wonderful and caring. I dont think that they are overpriced. My puppies and I love them and there is nothing that I can say that is bad about them.

We have been taking our little dog to Kamy for several years now. We always get the express one hour service. Kamy does an excellent job. All of the groomers appear to be very loving and attentive to the dogs.

The groomer was rude when we picked up our good-tempered cat.  She said we would have to be paid more in order to deal with our cat in the future!!!  AND the bill was very high for the grooming service.  This practice requires updates of certain shots (sorry, can't remember what) that aren't required by our prior vet.  The shot(s) is/are expensive.  For a lion cut, we paid around $110, including those shots.  Maybe it was more, I can't remember now, but it was outrageously high for the service received.

We had liked the vet very much on prior visits, but we found that routine vet visits were also too expensive.   This experience with the groomer assured that we would not use this vet for any service in the future.  The groomer at that time -- sorry, don't remember her name now --  was obviously NOT an animal lover and was in serious need of  customer service training.

Most people don't want to hear how annoying their pet is, especially when the prior groomers have always remarked how sweet-natured our Ruthie Sue is!  (We agree.)  We thought $110 (or whatever it was) was too much for a lion cut; we weren't going to pay MORE; we didn't want our Ruthie Sue manhandled; and we didn't want further insults hurled at us.

We are back with Westwood Animal Hospital, which is not conveniently nearby.  But everyone who works there loves animals and knows how to treat them and their owners.  Also, the cost of services is more reasonable.
