Our dishwasher wash cycle would not start, however, there was still power to the control panel. I called Able early in the morning on Monday, and by 10 am, I had an appointment scheduled for the next day (Tuesday). The tech, Mike, was punctual (even though I was not!), and quickly diagnosed the problem: a faulty door switch. Mike explained the issue, and that he would have to order the new door switch and would not be available for a few days. In the meantime, he installed a temporary fix that would allow us to use the dishwasher. On Wednesday, Able called and said that the door switch would be in on Thursday, and Mike would be at the house at 11 am to install it. Mike had the switch installed in less than 5 minutes. Great job by Mike and Able Appliance Repair. We will definitely use them again should the need arise!

He was very thorough. He checked all components of stove & oven to ensure it was operating correctly. Also did a quick check of the dishwasher while he was there and gave operating recommendations. Price was fair. the only downside was they were booked out so far I had to wait 3 weeks for service, but they were the only place I could find who would services our Samsung appliance.

Spent about ten minutes with machine. About a week later I had to move the machine to get to a plug behind it. I noticed that there was a build up of lint on the machine. I decided to pop off the front service panel to check on the cleaning. The area was full of lint and had not been touched by the service tech. Very disappointing. See photos

Daniel was a nice guy. Professional. Was able to determine the main board had went out quickly and quoted me a fair price to replace it. He said he would honor the 10% off coupon for Angie list members which I appreciated.

Jeff came out the next morning (even though it was during the holidays) after the call and diagnosed the problem and let us know it could not be repaired. He was clear in his explanation and I appreciated his honesty. He also looked at a downdraft that wasn't properly working and looked for a part that is no longer produced.

I was assigned a handyman (Mike) by Handyman connection. They set up the appointment for Thursday at 5:30pm and we arranged to be home for the appointment. Mike called a few minutes before the appointment and cancelled "due to rain." It was not raining and did not rain for several hours after the scheduled appointment. He rescheduled for the next day at the same time and he did not show for the appointment. This handyman does not respect your time and I would not recommend hiring Handyman Connection.

Called to repair 26 yr old dryer, found that a part  was burnt out, replaced it & determined that it was overheating so he cleaned out a bunch of lint and determined that the vent hose was also full of lint.  That was being replaced anyway because the Washer & Dryer were being moved.  Looked at the washer in passing, identified an issue that I as vaguely aware of, explained it to me, fixed it and stuck a knob on the dial (which had been missing for years).  All in under an hour.  Very helpful advice too about the new ventilation for the Dryer.  ($156)

Update: about a week later (after my washer & dryer were moved), I was having trouble balancing the washer (matching set with the dryer - 26 yrs old).  It was rocking and making lots of noise.  Dave came out, and showed me how the rust on the washer was causing the bar that balances the back of the machine to stick and how to dislodge and it make it set down properly.  This made the machine run smoother, but still a bit shaky.  He then replaced the suspension pads which reduced the shaking to almost none.  He suggested that having the washer sit on a cement pad, rather than on the wood platform that it was on, would make it run more smoothly.  (additional $65)

This company went above and beyond.  They came promptly and repaired my elderly gas dryer.  Charged $135 for the call and service.   Only it didn't stay repaired.  The tech came back the day we called and fixed it again (no additional $) - but it still wouldn't stay fixed.  He came back AGAIN, right away when we called, and gave us the bad news, replacing the part that made the dryer fire up would be uneconomical and not worth it for a 15 year old appliance (again, no $).
And then, the company refunded the ENTIRE fee for the original service call.  I did not expect this, and don't quite feel that it's fair to the company, seeing as how they did do a lot of work.  However, it was great for me.  I got on craigslist and bought a replacement dryer for $200, and it's working fine.  I will call Everyday Appliance for all repairs needed in the future.   I was really, really impressed by the service.

The first time Linn Star came, my master water valve did not hold so they had to come back after a plumber fixed it. I appreciated that they were able to return without charging me. The installers were efficient and careful, and were able to answer my questions about the appliance.

I did most of the work cleaning the lint trap with my Dyson vacuum. He just fixed a small wire and I gave him a big 110 oz bottle of tide that was not his. It did not work for my front load washer and he still charged me $120.00.
