    I have been using this company since 2010. Not great, but OK, until now. Our ice maker broke in November. After repeated attempts to repair the appliance, the service technician, Steve, simply stopped coming to our home, and would not return calls. Before this happened we had paid the company $645 for a repair that never worked. Office personnel would give messages to the higher ups, but no return calls. Finally I spoke with Adam who could not explain why no one would come to repair our machine, but he agreed to have the machine picked up and taken to their office for repair. We then left the country for a month with the understanding that while we were gone our repaired machine would be returned in working order. As the date approached for our return home, our house sitter phoned Turner repeatedly to see the status, and no one ever returned his phone calls. However, on two occasions Turner phoned to say our parts were in and to set a date for the technician to come to our home to fix the machine. When told that we did not have a machine to repair since they already had it, they quickly hung up and said they would call back - which they never did.  When I returned home in February I got on the phone to speak with Adam and when I finally reached him I got a long story which basically said I needed to buy a new machine, and he would see about getting me a refund. With that I went out and bought a new machine, but I needed the custom door panel from our old machine, and I wanted to know about the refund. When I finally reached Adam again, he told me that the compressor was under warranty and if I could wait two more weeks and spend a couple of hundred more dollars they could probably repair the machine in 2 weeks. Crazy, since when we last talked he told me the circuit boards were fried and never mentioned anything to do with the compressor. In the end I informed Adam we had purchased a new machine as he suggested and I would like the custom door and a refund. He promised to speak to the higher ups regarding a refund and to call me back - which he never did. The company from which I purchased my new machine arranged to obtain the custom door, and I wash my hands from doing business with Turner ever again.

    pleased with everything.  Seems to me, given it was an Angie's List coupon, they could have taken their time to agree to the appointment, since it was rental property, but they came right away, and everything done well.  I'll use them again.

    At 3 p.m., Monday, 8/12/13, I finally decided to sign up for Angie's List to save time finding contractors.  I selected and called a provider (49th Handyman) and Doug either answered right away or called me back shortly.  He listened to the issues, thought a master electrician was needed, and said the electrician would be in touch with me later that day.  Doug wasn't clear which of the specials listed on Angie's List was going to be used.  By 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, 8/13/13, I hadn't heard back from anyone so I called the Doug and left a message (thinking maybe my phone number had been written down wrong and they couldn't reach me).  By 3:30 p.m., I hadn't received any response from Handyman; my daughter needed electricity in her room, and I called an electrician who I had used before and who was available to come out at 3 p.m. the next day (Wednesday).  At 4:18 p.m., I received a call from Handyman's electrician and told him I had already scheduled someone else.  My electrician was only available because of a delay on another project in the area; otherwise, he wouldn't have been available for three weeks so I realize good electricians have full schedules.  It wasn't the quality of response I expected from Angie's List and was a disappointing first try.

    We were referred to them from someone. Our warranty paid for the service. Those ice machines are terribly expensive, and they did a good job with repairing it. I don't remember anything bad about this company.

    I had been having problems with drainage in my kitchen sink backing up when using the disposal unit. I tried disconnecting the drain pipes under the sink and clearing them, but it became clear that the problem was farther down. I called the company on a Saturday morning and was told someone could come out that day and there would be no premium for Saturday service. The plumber came about noon. He determined that the drain pipe was extremely corroded from the inside and recommended replacing it. Also showed me that the disposal unit was rusty and not working correctly, and that the pipes under the sink had been hooked up incorrectly without proper venting. He gave me an estimate and went to work. He finished the work within the time estimate and exactly on the cost estimate. He was polite, clean, and informative. He showed me exactly what he did. I have used this company several times in the past and they are always good. I know that they are more expensive than others, but in my opinion it's worth it to know that the work is done correctly and that they will stand by it.
