    Stumpff Homeworks, LLC
We had a very good experience working with Stumpff Homeworks and will use the company again should we do more remodeling. The owner, Tom Stumpff, is skilled in Project Management, Design and Communications and has a strong network of competent subcontractors and material suppliers. Since our project would entail a complete remodel of kitchen, family room, sun room and guest bathroom, as well as modifying a load-bearing wall and replacing the flooring, we knew there would be a significant number of trades and material suppliers involved. Additionally, although we knew what we did not like about our house, we did not have a clear vision of what we wanted instead. We had talked in general terms with two other companies but did not feel they were up to the job. A recommendation to consider Tom came from a neighbor who had recently used Toms company on a bathroom remodel and who had known Tom for a long time. In our first meeting Tom answered all our questions, be they operational (how his company accomplishes their work) or legal (work permits, licensing, insurance, release of liens) then listened carefully as we described what we did not like about the current configuration of our main level. Tom told us he generally acts as both the Designer and General Contractor then offered a number of suggestions for us to consider. We soon decided that Tom had the skills set, connections and personality traits we needed for a successful project and asked him to proceed with a rough design and estimate. Tom arranged for the all the major subcontractors to visit the house (we appreciated that they all came on the same day) and after getting their feedback, developed a quote for the work that was within our budget. After a bit more project definition he submitted a draft contract and at our request included a listing of all suppliers and subcontractors and tied the payment schedule to getting a release-of-lien from each as well as his own company. We ended up with over 20 lien releases. Tom arranged and accompanied us on many visits to material suppliers. He guided our selection of colors and materials, offering his recommendations in an easy manner leaving us feeling free to disagree. The demolition and remodeling work took a number of months and we stayed in the house during this time. We appreciated that the workers cleaned up the site each night. A number of times during the project we had concerns about how things would turn out. We brought these concerns to Tom each time and either Tom or his very capable colleague, Gabe, promptly solved the issue (if it really was an issueoften they were still working on that part of the project). He demonstrated his open-mindedness by incorporating our suggestions where appropriate and feasible. It is obvious from the above but worth highlighting here that Tom communicated well with us during this project, that we are satisfied customers and that we have no hesitation recommending Stumpff Homeworks.

    Pyramid Construction
We received 5 bids to have a large 1930s front porch rebuilt for both structural and aesthetic purposes. Pyramid Construction not only had the best price, but they were any easy choice because they were willing to do extra to ensure the integrity of the structure and were professional from the first meeting through finishing the project. Their entire crew were friendly, knowledgeable, had careful attention to detail and were willing to put in extra hours to get the complicated project done right and ahead of schedule. Our neighbors not only complimented the beautiful end result but how professional and courteous the team was. We would not hesitate to hire Curtis and his team at Pyramid Construction again for any project large or small.

    DW Elite Decks
Dan and his crew did a fantastic job. They were professional, courteous and very cognizant of the yard, shrubs and surroundings. Dan offered suggestions that were helpful and provided insight on the project that really added to the beauty of the project. While he wasn't the lowest bid, we had seen his work on a neighbor's house and were very comfortable we were getting the best expertise for the job, and great professionalism. There were as many as 9 guys on the job at various times and they were there everyday until the job was completed. Dan estimated that the job would take about two weeks and the job was completed in 9 working days. The quality was outstanding and Dan responding immediately to any questions or concerns that I had. My wife and I could not be happier with the finished product and we have received numerous compliments on our screened porch.

    Enhanced Outdoor Living
Signed a contract, got a deposit, then refused to do the work, wouldn't void the contract, sign a waiver of lean, or respond to the mort. co inquiry tying up the insurance money for months costing me thousands of dollars in unwarranted expenses. Due to his unprofessionalism I have missed the spring / summer housing market and may be forced to lose the depreciated costs held by the ins. co. costing me tens of thousands of dollars more. Every thing was good until he hit on my girlfriend and got shot down, then he lost interest in the job. He took my deposit but seems he had no intention in doing the job, just needed money. I would NOT hire him to clean up after my dog let alone do work on my house. Hiring him is the worst decision I have ever made. He is a deck guy who had time and needed winter work, had good references but I would guess they apparently never hired him.

    Dynamic Porch & Patio
We couldn't be more pleased. Steve and his brother Ron were great to work with. Steve listened to our vision of the project, made a few practical suggestions, and came in with a bid more reasonable than anyone else. Ron expertly handled the renovation and even made a few accommodations to fit my needs. The project turned out better than I expected and looks great.

    Brick Doctor Inc
They did not give me a proper bid. I asked for front and back. They only did the front said that it was both. They got out to do the work and said they only bid the front. So I stopped working with them. I paid them for the work they had done and will never use them again. They were the most expensive. They were late and that is why I couldn't meet them there. They could have been honest.

    Archadeck of Kansas City
They were great. Dan Hall was the sales guy who came to the house and met with us. He came back with sketches and price estimates, and when we got it all figured out we signed the contract with him. It was more costly than we imagined we were going to spend on it, but lower then the other bid we got. They were scheduling a couple months out, but they started the build pretty close to when they predicted they would get to it. Robert was the carpenter who did the work, and he did a great job on it. We have received complements from everyone who has seen in, including the guys who delivered the furniture we purchased to go out there. Steve Folsom is the owner, and he came to the site several times, and was very detailed in keeping us in the loop about what they were doing. Overall very professional, and we have spent most evenings out there eating dinner and just hanging out, without a single bug bite!

    DW Elite Decks
We worked with Dan Milford and his team at DW Elite Decks to design and install a stamped concrete patio and screened in porch in our backyard.  My wife and I have been wanting have this built in our backyard for years, but haven't been able to find a company we were comfortable with.  We found DW Elite Decks and decided to go with them based off of their work portfolio and we were beyond happy with the results!  We are first time home owners and don't have a lot of experience in adding things on to a home, so we were worried we would make the wrong decision with choosing a builder for a big project like this.  But I know that we made the right decision in working with Dan and his company.  The design they put together for us was better than what I was imagining in my head for our backyard.  Their team was extremely professional and we never once felt uncomfortable having them work in our backyard for the few weeks the project took to complete.  Most of the other builders we met with quoted us a pretty lengthy time to complete everything, but DW Decks quoted us a time and actually had it completed faster!  We were so surprised at how easily everything came together.

They aren't the kind of company that will compromise on the quality of material- they only want to use the best.  And I can see that it does make a huge difference when building a porch.  We knew they were a little bit more expensive than other companies but now that we are finished, I feel more secure in knowing we used the best materials.  It was worth the money to spend a little bit more, and I'm glad Dan pushed us to do that.

Dan was really good about communicating with us on questions that we had (and we had a lot!). He never made us feel like we were throwing too much at him and always got back to us very quickly.  Even weeks after the work had been completed, Dan still quickly gets back to us on things we have questions about.

They also installed a stamped concrete patio and everyone who has seen it is blown away by how great it turned out!  My father just recently finished building his new home and once he saw our stamped concrete patio, he just kept telling me how much he wished he would've talked to a company like DW before having his patio installed.  The patio turned out beautiful and I couldn't have asked for more!

I would recommend DW over any other company for this kind of work hands down... My wife and I could not be happier with our results!

    Accent Remodeling and Renovations, LLC
He was a present individual but the quality of his work was below average. He re-painted our deck with a new coat of sealer that looked Ok at first, but it lasted less than a year. We contacted him to evaluate the problem, and make some recommendations for repair, including some cost adjustments, but he never responded.

    Probuilt Patio Enclosures

They started with the patio room; then completed a new stamped concrete patio (20 X 13).  I had gotten 3 bids for my driveway, front porch and sidewalk on the side of the house.  They put stamped concrete steps and porch as well as the sidewalk on the side of the house going back to the patio room.  They then gave me a bid for a stone retaining wall for which I had already bought the stone (on 5 pallets) that I had sitting in my front yard.  I jumped at that bid, since I really did not have the expertise to do it myself, and their bid was excellent price wise and their quality of work surpassed anything I could have attempted.

I also had them build a new fence (replaced the piece-meal old one) of double sided cedar and got to watch them do probably 40 percent of the install (including digging the posthole and putting in concrete).
