AMatthew was originally hired to assist my nephew in preperation for the Parochial High School Admissions exam. Building a relationship with Matthew was the best thing for my nephew. Matthew was very safe going into this situation creating a trusting a environment. Not knowing what he was walking into, Matthew quickly learned that my nephew’s academic inabilities were far more important than preparing for an high school entrance exam. Immediately Matthew begin working on creating a plan of action. He is very patient, yet intentional about holding my nephew accountable. Moreover, he follows up and send reminders for my nephew (I.e. don’t forget to bring your book home from school, remember to work on your math). Although we have a long way to go, it’s safe to say that we are seeing some progress. Thanks Matthew.

AThis place is amazing. The staff and veterinary was awesome. They explained in details what was needed when examining the kittens, you can tell how much they care. They did not rush. I felt very comfortable being there. I love how they comfort the kittens before giving them vaccinations. They only take care of cats which I love, the place is so clean. They even had litter and snacks in the room for them. I DEFINITELY Recommend them.

AThere aren't enough great things to say about the staff at Noah's Ark! Dr. Kris and Dr. Noella are such kind, caring vets and their passion for animals really comes through when you see them in appointments. My little girl can be a difficult patient, but they handle her with great care and make adjustments to help keep her calm and safe. The vet techs and receptionists are fantastic too, everyone who works here is very personable and knowledgeable. What really sells this place is how the doctors and techs involve pet parents with their animal's diagnostic and treatment information - they'll give you the technical terms, but also break it down so you can still understand what's going on even if you don't have a medical background. Sure, the building is a little awkward and outdated. Yes, the prices can be a tad high (markup is everywhere guys). But I will gladly drive 25 minutes from the Northland for care here!

CThey did a good job of painting the house trim and accents. Communication could have been better. I had to contact him several times to find out when the work would be done. Also, he promised to send a painter to touch up a few spots, but it didn't happen.

IN BUSINESS 30+ YEARS.

DI had been a client for over 20 years and Dr Thompson had been wonderful to work with. I really don't understand what happened in the last few years but, the office staff became short tempered to work with and while I understand the ultimate goal is to make money at any business, I wa appalled at the lack of feeling and consideration when I brought my elderly dog in for her final visit. I was instructed to bring her around the side of the building at the end of the day ( keep in mind I booked the appointment in advance so time wasn't factor.) I asked if she could be taken care of while in the family vehicle (SUV with a hatchback) so she wasn't frightened and we were directly outside the side door. I was rudely told no. If they were not comfortable with that it could have been handled more tactfully. However I brought her in as requested. I was directed back to the surgery, which instantly frightened my dog. She had never had a fear response like that before. She was pulling back and the front office woman and Dr Thomson picked her up and forcefully put her on the table and without being given a chance to say anything, Dr. Thomson jammed the needle in and that was it. I have never seen them like this before. The have had to help a number of my animals over the year make that final appt. but this was horrible. to make it worse this was all done in front of my daughter who wanted to say the last good bye before she was gone. She witnessed her dog roughly dumped on a table and killed with no compassion. Then they tried to usher us out with no further chance to process. I stood my ground and told them we would not leave until we had our chance to say good bye. I will never take another pet here again. It was shocking to experience this, but to know this was my daughter's first experience with death and the loss of a family member grieves me beyond belief.

DWe have taken our cats (3) and dogs (4) to Country Hill for well over 12 years unfortunately our experience has gradually been less positive and more costly. Dr. Francis who we started with is no longer there. Dr. Vogrin started in 2006 and now owns the place. We really appreciated Dr. Francis because he was not focused on making money but since Dr. Vogrin took over complete ownership in the last few years we have noticed price increases and what seems to be a focus on making money rather than caring for animals. We are sad to say goodbye to Country Hill but recognize that we have lost confidence in the ability and priorities of the vets. We have noted recently that the new vet Dr. Godsey doesn't seem to feel comfortable with cats. We find Dr. Vogrin less willing to talk about cost issues and seems to be gradually becoming a little more of a businessman. Our most recent experience with this vet is what finally convinced us to find another vet. We took in one of our cats for an examination because she seemed to be having pain while trying to eat. Dr. Godsey was the only vet there that day. She awkwardly tried to examine and diagnose our cat but seemed to be uncomfortable with cats. In the end they sold us antibiotics, antifungals, tests equaling $560. In the end, no diagnosis, no effective treatment but lots of charges. Our cat died within the month. In talking with Dr. Vogrin he adamantly defended the absurd charges and blamed the cats death on old age. it was amazing how money was the focus and the cat's health was not even important to these vets in the end. We found Dr. Vogrin very difficult to talk to about the issue. He just seemed to care about his money.

CI've had my dog groomed here before with no problems. When I dropped him off this last time I was asked how I wanted him cut. I said the same as last time. My dog is a Bichon and usually they are groomed with a fuller face and lean body. Well, they practically shaved him down! I was not happy when I picked him up, but the staff didn't care and wouldn't do anything about it. Also, like another reviewer said, they insisted he be vaccinated for canine influenza. When I asked how many cases of dog flu have occurred in Kansas, she couldn't answer me. I felt it was an unnecessary expense. I won't be taking my dog here for grooming again.

ACAMELOT COURT ANIMAL CLINICIt was about the same time as the surgery for cyst removal. Most dogs don't like to be away from their owner. Parting is such sweet sorrow. They take excellent care of your dog. They do cats, but I think it's mostly dogs. I can't say that I've really ever seen a cat there.- Richard W.

AEAGLE ANIMAL HOSPITALThe pet did great. They call after the procedure is over and then let you know what time you can come and pick up the pet. When I picked him up, one the techs covered the care and everything and then they followed up the next day to see how he was doing.- Kathleen L.

AROCKHILL PET CLINICThey do everything, even boarding. They are all super friendly. They know my pet by his name, Coolio. So when Coolio comes in they always rave about him and what a good boy he was. They are all just very personable. I have to be at work until 7:30 a.m. and I don't think they open until 8:00 a.m. but they're usually there at 7:30 so they will let me get him all dropped off and get my paperwork signed so I don't have to wait until they open. I really appreciate that.- Patrice P.

AFetchers Play & StayThey have always done a real good job on grooming for me. I don't do anything special, bathe them and shave them. For the daycare, they seem to know the dogs well because they can give you specifics on what happened. They are very friendly, and they care about what they are doing. All you do is drop them off in the morning and pick them up at night. I have used them multiple times and I will continue.- Sheryl E.
