    Silverstein, Dr. Steven M.
My wife lost 85% of her vision My 59 year old spouse lost 85% of her central vision in her right eye after cataract surgery with Dr. Silverstein. Prior to the surgery, she had never worn glasses and had no issues but she was told that she needed surgery. We now seriously question if the surgery was even needed? She was then pressured to get premium lenses and forcefully told by the lady who scheduled the surgery, "You are legally blind and shouldn't be driving!" This was a lie, with her vision at 20/50. On the day of surgery my wife told the staff there was a problem with her eye. The day after her surgery at the follow-up appointment and then at the follow-up meeting six days after surgery, my wife told Dr. Lookhart, the Optometrist assigned to do follow-up examinations, that her vision was "Wonky" and that something wasn't right. She could see and pass the vision test but something was impeding her vision. He told her in each case that this was normal and would improve. I have since learned that this was anything but normal. They ran a test on depth perception and literally guided her hand to pass after 6 or 7 fails. On the evening one week after the surgery she noticed bands across her vision. She called on the next morning after losing more of her vision and was told to Immediately come to the office. She was tested and told that she had lost 85% of her vision in the eye and had suffered a "Ischemic Optic Neuropathy" and most likely the vision would not return. They referred her to a Neurologist and scheduled my wife for an appointment five days later. I said that was unacceptable and would serve as our own advocate. During this time, my wife was given two lectures as how they were not responsible for the vision loss as she was in tears. As we left, Dr. Lookhart said "Good Luck"! I was able to get into the same neurologist that day and she has been treated by him ever since. We were told that if she had been treated during the critical week, the outcome could have been substantially better! As a husband who comforts his spouse in tears 10 or 12 times a week, even now, after 8 months. I can tell you I sooooo wish we had turned to another group before surgery. She has forever been scarred by blindness and has quit driving at night because of this situation. We will forever question what could have been had she been treated by someone else. I personally should have guided my wife differently and suggested a second opinion on the surgery and insisted that a more qualified doctor review the fact that her vision was bad before the blindness occurred. We have since spoke with a lady whom kept her vision because she was treated in a timely manner. I would highly recommend going elsewhere or at least get a second opinion!

She does an annual follow up with me in regards to my heart. She's very friendly and she's always excited to give me a good report. I would definitely recommend her.

    Neurosurgery of South Kansas City
It went well. The surgeon’s availability is limited, so “service” isn’t always timely, but I’m happy with my results

    Susan Bonar MD
I went to Susan K Bonar after being referred to her, for surgery to remove a cyst and tumor. She also removed the nerve, because it would take to long to remove them and leave the nerve in tact. I now have permanent nerve damage, and can not walk without pain and discomfort. The surgery was so botched, that I had to have a follow up surgery with a competent surgeon to attempt to fix the botchery she did. Hind sight is 20/20, however I would NOT allow her to operate on my worst enemy.

    Pickel, Dr. Jason L.
If you have plenty of disposable income and want to spend it, this might be the place for you. (1) Dr Pickel’s office initiates you by having you fill out an extensive intake questionnaire inquiring about your medical history. Along with the medical history questions he has questions for you to answer, I assume, to see your openness and compliance to he’s treatment program. That is $150.00. (2)Then an appointment is made with him and his NP Julie Miller. He discusses with you his process and asks you questions about your earlier completed Intake Questionnaire. After the meeting with him and Ms Miller, you are taken to another office by a front office person to get your weight and further inquiry questions are completed. You are then escorted to the front desk for payment and to schuedule your next appointment. You are also informed that medical insurance or Medicare will not cover the expenses. Your blood test may be covered but you are responsible for finding that out for yourself with your insurance. It is recommend to use one of the Lab Core sites. The lab test and the follow-up consulting appointment with Dr Pickel and Dietician Julie Miller is $595.00. (3)The Lab Result meeting with Dr and Pickel and Julie Miller. You are handed paper work by Dr Pickel for you to follow along with while he gives you the results of the tests. Paper worked received are: Lab Core Patient Report Dr Pickel’s Test Sheet Report Homeopathic Biotenergetic Toxicologiical Testing Report Product Sheet and a Recommendation Sheet. Dr Pickel discusses his findings with you from his compiled sheet. Then he turns the meeting over to Julie Miller and leaves. Ms Miller discusses the products she has brought with her that are recommended for you to take for the next few weeks. 12 small glass vials with instructions on how to take. (Vials are not to be placed any were near an electrical outlet) Recommended for an added purchase •Vegemeal $51.50 •Reparitive $45.00 •Bio D Mulsion Forte $19.90 •Glutathione Recycler $31.00 •Immunospray $14.00 •P5P $14.00 •Sublingual B12 $40 After Ms Miller finishes and leaves, the office manager from the front desk comes into to discuss with you the price of the recommended supplements and the cost of the 6 month program. which is: $4750.00 which is discounted 5% if payed in full which makes it $4512.00. There is an option to do a 6 month payment plan of $791.67 a month I won’t go into length what the "6 month Comprehensive Program" includes. My point being in writing this review is that the program price should be told up front to the client before they spend the initial $745.00. So the client can make an informed decision ahead, if this is program is right for them and their budget. I feel sucker punched for the first initial costs. And no, I will not being going ahead with the "6 Month Comprehensive Program"

    Sajadi, Dr. S.A.
It has been several days and, so far, I think my Botox looks great. Dr. Sajadi was very nice but I would agree with reviews elsewhere on the web, that his office and demeanor are a little off-putting when it comes to professionalism. The office is extremely basic and the floors did not look very clean. The treatment room had a very nice chair for procedures--it would feel so much more comfortable with some paint and pictures on the wall! Maybe I'll mention it to him! Ha! Dr. Sajadi did seem like he was in a hurry AND he did leave my room to deal with some salesman that popped in which did bother me a bit but it seemed more like he is a business owner with a lot of balls in the air. He applied numbing cream (most times, I haven't had this) which I appreciated. The needles still really hurt and he said that, if he had waited longer, it would've worked better. Kind of odd but kind of funny. Luckily, when he did under my eyes, I couldn't feel a thing. He left the room to prepare the syringes which did make me wonder but since it seems to be working, I guess it was legit. I talked to him about options to reduce the appearance of my under eye bags and he suggested Restalyne Classic which I think I might have him do. He was very willing to work on the price with me--the more frequently you visit, the lower the cost which is nice. I usually stretch my time between injections as long as possible but have noticed that it seems to work better when I go in more often. I will definitely try him again--his prices are so good! I will repost more results later!

    Ward Parkway Health Services
I have gone to this physicians office for several years. Doctor Geha listens and genuinely cares, he is not dismissive of my symptoms. He explains the treatment and if he is unable to treat himself, he refers to another physician he would personally see.

    McCormick, Dr. David A
He is very good at what he does. If you are looking for a good doctor, he is one. If he can’t help he is very good at referring a specialist. His office staff are super helpful, and often go the extra mile to help.
