In August, a medical specialist recommended that I use a CPap machine. He gave me the name of a Durable Medical Equipment company in Johnson County. I had researched pricing on what seemed to be on of the more popular CPap machines. The prices for the machine and accessories ranged from $555 to $883 at seven companies that I checked. On August 22nd, I went to the company office and met with the staff (two of the three people in the office). The office manager looked at my insurance card and after 10-15 minutes, told me that the out-of-pocket expenses would be about $150. She said the CPap machine and accessories would be $750 and that my insurance would pay 85% of that ($637.50), which left $112.50 out-of-pocket. She said the first month was a rental that would be $150 and that my insurance company would pay 65% of that ($97.50), which left $52.50 out-of-pocket. I asked if this would be the total out-of-pocket for everything, she said yes. There was no mention in any manner, not one word about any additional or subsequent costs. Another staff member took about 10-15 minutes fitting me with a mask that was attached to the exact CPap machine that I had researched pricing on. There was no explanation of how to use the machine nor any of the settings. She did however, give me and explain a detailed list of accessories and the intervals that my insurance company would pay for each one. I received a Delivery Ticket that shows the billed amount of $150 for Rental with a co-pay of $0 (zero). It shows the CPap machine and each accessory itemized and each as a Purchase with a total of $750. It shows a total co-pay of the Purchased items also as $0 (zero). I asked again if $150 was the total out-of-pocket. She said yes and I paid $150 with my credit card. On November 2nd, I received an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) from my insurance company in the mail. The EOBs showed a total billed amount of $2,572!! And it showed a total out-of-pocket amount of $587! I clearly determined that I had been lied to and that this company had done a bait and switch! I gathered up the equipment and drove to the company. I showed the office manager my EOBs and my handwritten notes from August 22nd on the costs she had told me. I asked for an explanation. I listened for a couple of minutes. Her attempted explanation made no sense at all. Again, I showed her my notes with what she had told me the out-of-pocket expenses would be. Again, she made an incoherent attempt to explain. I told her that I did not at all appreciate being lied to and that she had done a bait-and-switch on me. I gave her back the equipment and told her that I planned to meet with the provider that made the referral, to let them know what the company had done. She said fine. I then drove to the doctors office that made the recommendation and met with the DME Coordinator. I told her what had happened. She made copies of my EOBs and gave other referrals for DME companies. She said she would give the information to her office manager. A week or so later the doctors office manager called me. I faxed to him the Delivery Ticket that showed what I was told the items would cost, so that he could compare that with what the company actually billed my insurance company and me for the equipment. On November 20th, the owner of the company called me. He said that there was a learning curve with the staff and that going forward they would try to provide more detail regarding billing amounts for the customer. He said that some area DME companies do not give the customer even as much information as I was given. The owner of the company did not refute any of the dollar amounts that I had been told by his business manager, would be my out-of-pocket expense, nor what I had been told would be the billed amount. He never attempted to explain this gross discrepancy between what I was told these two amounts would be and what I and my insurance company were actually billed. I just think that this is a scam company.

It went well! He was great with her, helping with ADL activities in a kind, patient, respectful way. He helped emotionally with his cheery personality, his sense of humor, his warm smile and his caring ways. He was depentable and there for her. Highly recommend him!

The company, people, product, service at this location has been acceptable.  The product received is the standard product any of these providers send out.
The difference, and why this is such a bad review, is the billing department, which I think is a national customer service/billing department.  Who knows where it is located.
We ordered supplies on 01/07/2015, of which we received promptly.  Customer service call was great.  We have since been to their place of business and have received a new CPAP machine, 01/29/2015.  Product works fine, staff was great.
They have billed our insurance company for the new machine, and rental agreement monthly since then, which again is fine.  The problem is that they did not send in an insurance claim for the 01/07/2015 supplies, which they required us to pay full price for, around $126.00, because the deductible was not fulfilled yet.  Well, 4 months later, our deductible has been fulfilled with the other claims they have sent in; I have called no less then a half a dozen times requesting they file this claim.  Even escalated to two separate leads & 1 insurance specialist, each indicating they would file again and 'don't call back for 30 days because it takes that long'.  Now, they owe us money for the 01/07 payment and we haven't received our over-payment back and the claim is still not filed with our insurance company.

    Access Done Easy LLC
Once my parents decided on the stair lift they preferred, Ed came by to show them the final paperwork and exact price they had agreed upon at the initial visit. He ordered the stair lift, it arrived exactly when he said it would, and had it installed in less than two weeks. He was always very clear and thorough in his explanations and explanations from beginning to end. He made this entire experience so stress free. I would highly recommend his company to others in need of any of the services he provides. Terrific experience start to finish.

    Silver Cross Kansas City
It went very well. We called on Thursday and they installed it the very next week, on Friday. We chose Friday due to my families work schedule. Aaron came out, was very courteous, installed the two lifts and showed us how to operate the units. My wife used the lift first, he explained and showed her how to transfer from one chair to the next on the landing. From start to ffinish, including the walk thru with my wife the process took approx three hours. We cannot be more pleased with the lifts and the professionalism showed by the company. The price, quality and workmanship povided were excellent.

    John Knox Village Home Health
We were very pleased with the care we experienced from our nurse and bath aide. They were always so kind and caring. We would have stayed with them but unfortunately my husband's health made it necessary for us to switch from John Knox home-care to hospice.Unfortunately they do not provide in home hospice care in Kansas.

    Silver Cross Kansas City
Silver Cross has been a great company to work with. The owner, Bill Koch, and all those who work for him, have been very experienced in their rolls and made the installation and adjustments of 3 stair lifts in out home seem effortless. Every time we have needed to call for an adjustment they have been out here as soon as possible and do not make even the smallest adjustment seem like a bother for them. We can heartily recommend this company and are so pleased to have found them!

Home Instead Senior Care - Kansas City Metro
They are a franchise outfit and I used the services from Cleveland Ohio, where as I am from Kansas City. I cannot comment Cleveland Ohio's outfit high enough. They provide monthly in house service for their employees but the outfit in Kansas City does not do that. I could only comment on their Kansas City outfit because there is a difference between their management and the people I got. I got one person by the name of Lori Brainin and she was outstanding. I used to get different people and that was fine with me. One day I got another young lady who only wanted to sit and promote a religion and she was lazy.
