    Dwayne and crew did a great job throughout our entire project. He worked very well with our architect and had a lot of really good suggestions along with way. The craftmanship of what they built is actually better than my house and most people are shocked when they learn the garage was actually an addition. The crews, espeically the brick guys, pay very close attention to detail and are great to work with. The whole project went better than I ever thought it would. Dwayne is very honest and I would hire them again in a heartbeat to do work at my house.

    Incredible work all around - from adding a 3rd-car garage addition (side-entry) to building custom cabinetry/vanities, Mitts Builders, LLC has provided incredible/timely work and has always been very upfront/straight-forward regarding costs/timetable; Great ability to manage/handle large home remodels; unique contracting capacity - holds electrical, plumbing, general contractor and possibly more licenses which seems to make Mitts Builders LLC more efficient than competitors;  The 3rd-car addition was complete in roughly 5-6 weeks from the start of construction (roughly 8 weeks if you include initial meeting with architect - home was vacant);  Mitts Builders LLC's custom-built cabinetry included: closets (shelving/hanging/etc.), bathroom vanities, kitchen cabinets (upper/lower) and a kitchen island - all very high quality;  I highly recommend Mitts Builders, LLC for any and all home projects/remodels!!!

    Overall the remodel went very well. It took about 8 weeks to complete, which was exactly as estimated during the bid process. We did have one issue with the glass shower enclosure not being installed as requested.  Finished product is still very nice, but just not exactly as we had discussed with the company.  I would get everything in writing if I used the company again.  All workers were very professional and quality of work was very good.  Remodelers showed up as promised, and they did a good job of keeping us informed as to where they were in the process.  I would use this company again for future remodel projects.

    Hodges Garages installed siding and stone our our home a couple of years ago but we left the back un-done because we were working on a room addition idea. Fast forward to late summer of 2014 and we were ready to move ahead.
    Work proceeded over the late fall and winter. The project took about 3 months due to weather and other external factors. I found the best way to communicate was to email questions and punch lists. The response was usually prompt and, that way, we both had a written record of what was discussed.
    Hodges has his own crews and every now and then, our crew had to spend a day elsewhere. On a couple of occasions, there was a wait for materials to be delivered. We were fine with all that, since it was generally cold and we spend less time outdoors in cold weather. The biggest delay was because one of the windows was faulty and needed to be re-ordered.
    I noticed that they used state-of-the art tools and materials, even though that was not specified in the contract. Hodges upgraded our choice of French doors because "it's a much better door that you'll be happy with." He was right.
    His crew installed the pex tubing for the radiant floor heat, but my plumber did the mechanical installation. Heated concrete floors are great! We originally expected a 3-season room, but the floor heats the room nicely even in the coldest weather! We didn't add air conditioning since we planned on keeping the windows open and the insulation kept the room tolerable during summer. (If we shut the windows and open the French doors to the house, it cools down nicely.)
    We love our new room.

    Phil was quick to come out and give me a drywall bid unlike other drywall companies in the area. He got back to me right away with a quote that we were happy with so we hired him and the next day he started work. He told me the work would take 6 days and that was the big attraction for us, the other 2 bids we got both told us 2+ weeks to finish the job. We were excited to have our basement done in less than a week, but unfortunately that was not what happened. We mutually agreed that 1/2 the payment would be paid upfront and the other 1/2 at completion. I paid him $2300 on 3/30/15 and 4 days later he asked for another $800 draw to pay his guys. I will admit I was taken aback by this request but obliged. On 4/8 the following Wednesday he called and asked for another $1000 draw from balance to buy more supplies that he did not account for leaving a $500 balance at end of job. I found this extremely unprofessional but obliged because I just wanted the job done. After the first few days it seemed work seemed to be off and on. I understand the mud was not dry so they could not finish the work on one day and there was a couple times when he said he would be here and we waited and he did not show and I had to call and ask when work would be started. He told me he hired a new person who did not know how to install drywall correctly so he had to go in and redo the whole thing..adding on more time to completion. The job finally got finished on Monday April 13th taking 2 weeks to complete instead of 6 days. It has been one month and I still have not received a work order for work done. He has told me his computer has been down from day 1 and then he had to move and his office wasn't set up. I have emailed him each week to ask for invoice because we are writing basement work off for my husbands new job and taxes but keep getting excuses. We had planned to use Phil for several other projects at both our home and our rental but after this we will not and will not recommend him to others. Had the work been done on time (or even a couple days after) as planned and the couple requests for draws from balance was not done we absolutely would have used him again. My husband had to go in and resand a couple areas but that is typical, we were happy with the finished product. Overall I would give him a B-

    This project required experience
    with construction practices in order to ensure structural integrity of the
    home. Addition footings were added and the footing wall was cut to allow the
    drop in garage floor and concrete depth was added on edges of driveway. Having
    contracted several projects over the years I found Dan Wilson and his crew to
    be one  of the absolute best trades?
    professionals we have dealt with. Dan added new garage openers and matched the
    door color to the home at no additional charge after learning that new heavier
    openers would be best. He and his staff were knowledgeable, professional and
    most importantly honest. Dan provided answers to several questions in the
    planning stages of the project and I would highly recommend him for any
    concrete project. Neighbors have already come by and mention how impressed they
    were with the results and finish. We have already recommended Dan/Wilson
    Concrete.

    I hired Richard through the Deal for a Handyman for a Day ($299).  Based on the list of projects I had, he offered to work additional hours at a discount to get the list completed.  He was timely and very good with his communication.  I had to reschedule once and he still called the night before the date scheduled to verify the project and confirm the time. 

    I didn't meet him that day, as my fiancé was the one at home, but he said Richard and his coworker were very professional and very nice guys.  They did a high quality job, even had to run to the store a couple of times for supplies.  I felt their work was excellent and I got a good value for the job done.

    I would definitely use him again!

    The contractor, Jeff, was very forthcoming in the beginning, clearly explaining what work will be done and how.  A contract was signed stating the work would be done within 10 days.  The price quoted was excellent. The work was done within a little more than a month.  The price in the end was what was originally quoted. The workers themselves were excellent.  The project management is a "D-F".  Jeff only shows up to check on things for a few minutes or to collect a check; he does not do any of the renovation work himself.   In the beginning, Jeff was very responsive to texts and calls.  As the job wore on past its due date, texts and messages were slow to be returned.  They installed a storm door, however, a couple of parts were lost and they are still not installed (we are still waiting for them 2 months later).  They did not clean up the leftover material in the end; it was left in a pile in the garage.  What initially was a good renovation experience, after the days dragged on, the oversight and attention to detail wained.  I would hire the workers individually for future work;  however, I would not recommend contracting with the manager of this company.

    August 21, 2013 signed contract to paint house.  On Sept. 14, 2013, signed contract for deck demo and haul, installation of new deck.  On Sept. 21, 2013, paid initial $8,000 deposit by Cashier's Check to cover paint and deck materials. 
    The deck was removed in October 2013, but the painting did not begin until late November 2013.  There were many delays in the painting project due to the cold winter weather and lack of personnel to perform the work, the painting project has continued throughout the Spring of 2014. During the painting project we continued to pay for additional paint and materials to replace wood rot.  There are still issues and mistakes to be corrected on the paint portion of the project. 
    The deck materials have never been delivered to our home. We were told by Home Depot personnel that the materials for the deck were never ordered because the contractor did not pay for them.
    In January 2014, we selected a prefab shed sold by Home Depot called Northwood. We paid our contractor, Trent Jordan for the shed, but he has not delivered all the materials.  He brought some lumber and trusses to our home, but they have been sitting outside since January 2013.  We have been told by another contractor that the materials we have are not for the prefab shed, just various pieces of lumber.  Trent Jordan made a weak attempt to create the 10'x14' concrete base for the shed, but the concrete is trash because it was improperly mixed and only a third of the base was poured.
    To date we have paid Trent Jordan $16,480.00 for paint, labor, deck materials and a prefab shed, with only a painted house to show for it.

    I cannot find strong enough language to caution people NOT TO USE THIS CONTRACTOR, FOR ANY REPAIR WORK, EVER. They appear to have disappeared, the phone number used as an initial point of contact is now disconnected. After multiple emails and voice messages left for Mr. Torey Logan, requesting he come inspect the uncompleted work on my home, he has fallen off the face of the planet. I have reported his company to the better business bureau, the attorney general's office, and am pursuing a resolution in small claims court. 
    His repair work was shoddy, at best. And incomplete. The workmanship is unprofessional, the materials are cheap.  
    -None of the recess lighting is installed correctly, there are gaps between the lighting and the ceiling
    -Tiling that was to be replaced in the master bathroom is uneven, unfinished. They cut pieces of tile to replace ones removed, none of the replacements are the correct size or shape. They did not seal the tiles with caulk, empty space remains between each tile
    -they took the old mantle off of my fireplace, and replaced it with a mantle that does not cover two wood beams that are supporting the fireplace. The mantle should have been installed 3 to 4 inches higher, to cover the now exposed beams
    -The cedar beams that were to be sanded down, and painted white--they did not use an epoxy paint to cover the original color of the wood. The beams do not match the color of the ceiling. It honestly appears that they used a coat of primer, and then nothing else
    -the paint job on the fireplace is entirely inappropriate for a professional contracting company. There are drips on the sides of the mantle. They dripped paint on my brick fireplace. 
    -the nails they used to install were not painted over on the fireplace mantle. The nails remain exposed. 
     The list goes on, I could continue to dissect the shoddy workmanship. But I think I have made my point. As I stated, do NOT use this company or anything with Torey Logan's name attached. You will end up in small claims court, trying to recoup thousands from what appears to be a shell contracting company. 
    I paid in full. To my regret. I hope this helps you move on and search for another company, and swiftly.
