    MaxLife Weight Loss
I was told I would lose 1-2lbs of fat a day. I was told this diet would reset my body. I asked very specific details about the plan, given false information. I still to date have outstanding questions. Customer service/support appears to be non-existent. This is the most ridiculously expensive diet plan I have ever signed up, with horrible results. Save your money folks!

They do a scan at the beginning, middle and end. The numbers /results should improve with each scan. My ending numbers were worst than the original. I did lose weight but anyone will lose if faithful to their eating plan. Which I was. For such a high cost the staff was less than knowledgable and at the end no one would respond to my request for an exit interview. To see what I could do next. My emails and phone calls were totally ignored. Cost was $2000 fro 30 days.

Since I had successful PT with Danny five years ago after my right hip replacement, I didn't hesitate to return this time after my left hip needed replacement. His measured and individualized approach worked wonders both times. It helped to build up strength and mobility and I am totally pain-free. Between both surgeries I also returned several times for personal training and will continue to do so. Danny gives me several sets of exercises I can do at my local gym or at home, and it is fun to notice so much progress.

This is a diet scam. The system is promoted, without appropriate support, as having the technology to access nearly every factor of fat burning, fat storage and metabolism, using a scan to address the bodys top organ stressors, as well as find the best products to balance those . . . stressors. What they fail to say, however, is that to achieve the weight loss advertised, users would have to follow a restrictive diet, including a very low-calorie diet of about 500 calories a day. Only after you have bought the $2000 + system are consumers told of the extreme caloric restrictions. They would not refund my hard earned money when I asked nicely. This is basically the HCG diet. They also have you do a spit in a glass to "test" for candida then charge you $150 MORE to get rid of it. They use extreme scare tactics like telling you that you have a metabolism of a 90 year old! I have contacted the FTC and they have a case open for this business. Stay far away from this place!

I went to buy new running shoes. It was my lucky day as the shoes I have bought about every other month for the last year were on clearance. To make things even better, the shoes my husband likes were on clearance too. They didn't have his size on hand at the Ward Parkway location but are sending them to that store from the Independence location. That is extraordinary service, especially for one pair of shoes on markdown. I was a little concerned when this store got purchased by a company in Colorado a little while back, I was worried that the quality or service would suffer. My worry was unfounded. The service is as good as always. I will not buy my running shoes elsewhere, as this store is top notch.

    68 Inside Sports

Every racquetball court reservations seemed extremely difficult for the front desk to make.  Twice I made reservations but  when I checked again before going to the court, the front desk could not find the reservation.

Then suddenly the club decided not to allow reservations and when I asked why they said that someone claim to have a reservation but did not.  With the front desk so incapable of making reservations, how could they tell?

The front desk told new people showing up for the Tai Chi classes that they were not aware of any classes or if they knew there was a class. the front desk had no idea whether to pay the front desk or the instructor.

Due to the incompetency of the front desk, 68 sports now wants to charge member $20 to reserve a court.

The entire facility is in disrepair, the parking lot has huge pot holes.

They also claimed my cost was half the normal cost for the years membership,  If that was true, for $1400, I strongly recommend any other fitness center than this one, as any other fitness center would be clean, up to date, better managed, and the front desk that is knowledgeable.

My family has been a member of this fitness club for more than 15 years.  They have a wide variety of facilities and group  classes that they offer.  The locker rooms are always clean and regularly visited by attendants.  Our family members regularly attends (2-3 times per week) the group strength training classes and the group spinning stationary bike classes.  Both classes are taught by seemingly knowleagable instructors who do their best to make the experience fun.  As for the spinning class, they make sure each person's bike is set up properly so that the participant will get the most most benefit from the class with the least amount of strain to their body.  They regularly remind people to keep hydrated.  The routine is varied to keep it interesting.  At the end of each class they always make theirselves available for  questions or comments to improve the classes.  The instructors for the group strength classes likewise make sure everyone has the correct equipment for the class tailored to the individual's ability.  They start out each class with a warm-up and end each class with a cool down and stretching.  At the end of each class the instructors make themselves available for questions and comments.

    24 Hour Fitness - Metcalf

I wanted to lose weight for my coming wedding, so I purchased a package of training sessions. My first trainer, Chris, was fantastic; however, halfway through my package, he quit. I was not asked for input on who would be my next trainer. They just signed me up with their newest trainer, Shannon. She was AWFUL. She was super rude and kept telling me I reminded her of her extremely overweight mother who always had an excuse not to workout - which is funny seeing as how I never once told her I couldn't work out with her. I would never recommend her to anyone.

24 Hour Fitness, however, did refund what was left of my package after I told the manager how displeased I was. The manager was very nice as was the other staff that I met. This place had periods of being super busy, but they were pretty easy to avoid. Other than my poor experience with their training sessions, I would say this club is about a B.

Convenience is my number one priority in selecting a fitness facility.

This is a very good option if you live near one of their facilities.

    Matt Ross Community Center
This is a reasonably priced venue for events. They were easy to work with and took care in setting up our room for a conference. They don't have hotel-grade amenities (like water service, etc.), but we knew that going in. Nicely decorated, relatively inexpensive, great staff, and good parking more than made up for it! I would definitely use them again.
I know they have many other community amenities like a pool (that looked awesome), but I haven't used those services.
