    Carmax Auto Superstore
Great. (We arrived at this CarMax after a bad experience at Hendrick Toyota, where a manager lied about a vehicle and tried to pull a fast one on us. It was exactly the type of thing that gives a used car salesman a bad name! ) CarMax was completely different. This CarMax was like a breath of fresh air. They really do a great job taking the pain and worry out of the pre-owned car buying experience. All the vehicles on lot are unlocked and it's nice to be able to check ANY of them out, then selecting only those we really liked for a test drive. Their price is a no haggle pricing and seemed fair. They provided an Autocheck report, but I found more info on CarFax reports (which I purchased on my own.) I higly recommend that buyers do purchase their own CarFax report. (We purchased a VIN Bundle, so we could look up several.) It's very easy to reserve a vehicle from their web site. It puts a sale hold on it for you until you get there to test drive, but under no obligation to buy. They have a huge selection. Once my son made his decision, the paperwork was very smooth. They transferred tags, took care of registration and title right there, and they also provided a $20.00 check made out to Hwy Patrol, for the VIN inspection. While we were doing paperwork, they re-detailed vehicle and put a GIANT yellow bow on the it for the fun-factior as you get your keys! It was a nice finishing touch! We took the vehicle to our mechanic for inspection and he had nothing but good things to say about vehicles coming from our local CarMax. Last but not least, we have sold 2 of our vehicles to this CarMax and we were happy with the amount they gave us on each of them. A co-worker of mine had told us about her family's positive car-buying and selling experience here and we are so glad we checked it out! I would use them again in a heart beat!

    Crown Volkswagen of Lawrence
I talked to David Wilson from Crown Volkswagen of Lawrence and he told me about some great deals beating all other quotes. He explained few things regarding my questions on Extended warranty offers and theres no pressure to buy. He offered some good deals from the stock model and after getting conformation for my expected price range, I just went there. The dealership is at a great location and the staff welcoming. The car was ready washed and cleaned. David could make it happen my expected price and I am happy with the way the negotiation went through. I was able to finance thru VM for a great low rate and zero down. David took time to explain all the feature and the safety things. My previous experience with buying a new car was stressful with the sales person running back and forth to the manager with different quotes. But this was really easy and I got what I wanted! We went for a road trip to St .Louis this week end and the drive was great and smooth. I have lower back pain and normally get it during couple of hours of drive but this time I dont have any. My wife and 2 boys love the car. I am still adjusting my driving as this is my biggest car yet! I would really recommend VW Atlas if you are planning to get 3-rows full size SUV and also Crown Automobile for great price if you are around KC metro. -Raj

    Hendrick Lexus Kansas City
They are excellent. They are professional, fair pricing, concerned about your ongoing relationship and your account with them and they were very educational. She set up a time for coming out but she spent two hours with me on my new car. Again, she put her personal phone number into my car so that if I can't figure something that I would call.

I purchased the car from Florida, and use this dealership for my auto service needs. They are a great company, and I would recommend them to anyone. i had a issue with the seal on my sunroof, and they took care of it right away.

I arrived at your dealership and a salesperson meets me at the door. I tell him why I am there. We check in and he takes me to his desk. We talk about what I was looking for and my personal concerns that I have with my Toyota Corolla. I was interested in a used preowned Certified Toyota. We drove 2 Camrys. Wonderful cars at a good price. As my luck would turn out that I have negative equity in my car. It happens so getting a used car financed is a lost cause. I was totally fine with that. The car salesman that I was working with took me back out in the rain to look at New Camrys. We were barely out on the lot when this guy named Thao comes up to him and says that he has ?an important returning customer and that he would take care of things for him?. The salesman thanked him and walked back into the dealership. SO, WHAT AM I? I am a customer and I am just as important as any other customer that comes into your business. It was obviously I was not that important. The new gentleman, Thao, which is kind to say, didn?t waste any time letting me know that he bets that I have never purchased a car from the finance guy. Most salesman that I have ever dealt with let me drive the car wherever I wanted to. No, not this guy. It was turn here and turns there and go there. I didn?t get a choice. Very pushy. Upon returning to the dealership, we went in and this gentleman was going to work on the details and pull some favors and get this done. I noticed however, that the previous salesman was working with a couple. This car salesman didn?t even make eye contact with me again which makes me to firmly believe that this was not a returning customer. The finance guy returns with an offer. I was not even made aware of what the dealership was going to give me for my car until that point. I looked at the offer and agonized over it. Thoa kept pressuring me into signing the deal saying things like ?My girlfriend is on the phone and I told her that I was going to be late because I am working on a deal with a guy and she just texted me to tell me she hopes he say yes.? I went over my budget in my head and I couldn?t wrap my mind around this offer. I kept saying that I can?t afford that monthly payment only to turn the pressure up even more. I went ahead and agreed to the deal. Thao took off with the deal. I was left sitting there collecting my thoughts. The more I thought about it and how things were going up to this point I had to back out of the deal. Thao returned with paperwork and my keys. Thao had entered my car without my permission taking my registration out of my car. I stood there and told him that the whole deal was off. Thao proceeded to take my car key off my key ring and he handed me the rest of my keys. Thao then told me to hang on. Thao took my car key and walked off letting me stand there with the rest of my keys. Thao did not tell me what he was doing or what he was doing for that matter. I stood there and waited and waited and finally someone came over with him to talk to me about the deal. I explained why again. Then they both walked off to talk to someone else and I waited and waited. I wanted to leave but I couldn?t because they had my car keys. Then the manager comes out with Thao and one other gentleman and asked me what the point of my visit was there today. I looked at him and told him that you guys called me to come in to see about making a deal and here we are. He asked again the same questions that everyone asked me and why. After a brief conversation they finally gave me my keys and I could finally leave. I felt humiliated! For all this to take place in front of everyone that was there at the dealership made seem like I had stolen something. No means no. I understand that you?re in the business of selling cars and I understand the limitations that you?re under. I was ok with the deal but I could not take it. I was made to feel guilty for even coming in and wasting everyone?s time. Today, after what happened yesterday I still think about that deal. It was a good deal but I could not take it. I put in two complaints only to get responses from Thao. I did not want to talk to Thao. I received a phone call from Thao and Thao left a message on my voice mail. Thao stated that ?If I wanted an apology, then he apologized.? Wow, that sounded so sincere. Thao also stated that ?You need to get over it and didn?t know what else that he could do.? I was so applaud! I work in costumer services and I would never treat anyone like Thao treated me. I am disappointed because I have always had excellent service from Hendricks. I gave Hendricks high praise to all my friends and family. Thao is not an asset to your company. I would like a response from someone other than Thao to address this issue with. I believe in second chances and will be back but cautiously! Thank you for your attention in this matter.

    Honda of Olathe
I told them they would pick me up and I would bring my car there. It's where I bought it. Everything is in the computer so they can serialize the car. They send me in the mails for discounts. I would buy another Honda Accord. I love it. Not only do I like the interior, but it drives like a dream.

I am going to be using them next week. My last visit there was fine. We keep going back because that's where we bought our car. They are full service and conveniently located. Ease of making appointments; we never had too much of a problem getting in when we wanted to get in. It goes pretty quickly. We are not waiting long. It's not a long wait time.

    McCarthy Chevrelot

I brought in an advertisement from their website for a specific truck I was interested in purchasing.  This ad listed a picture of the truck, VIN, MSRP of $49,115.00, "discounts" of $6,418.00 and a "Final Price" of $42,697.00.  I test drove the truck and decided to purchase it.  When I went to sign the paperwork, I noticed the base model price of the truck had increased to $45,892.00!  I asked the finance Mgr. why the price had increased by over $3,000.00 but he couldn't answer the question.  He called the Finance Mgr. into his office and I asked him the same question.  After studying the contract for quite some time, he responded, "We had to add a destination fee and sales tax onto that".  Since I knew I had to pay sales tax, I signed the contract and purchased the truck.  That weekend I began to look over the paperwork more thoroughly and noticed the advertisement I had brought into the dealership stated that the destination fee was part of the "discounts" listed in the advertisement AND the sales tax wasn't supposed to be added into the base model price - it is added on a different area of the contract.  So, Joe Balsamo, the sales manager basically lied to my face in an attempt to get me to sign the contract.  Most people, including myself would classify this as FRAUD and FALSE ADVERTISING!

If anyone is interested in purchasing a new or used vehicle, DON'T GO TO McCarthy Chevrolet unless you like dealing with scam artists and liars!

They said it was my problem since I had purchased the vehicle in "as is" condition.  However, I would not have purchased that  vehicle if the 4 wheel drive didn't work in the first place.
