The end product is nice BUT I have some disappointments as follow.  Before the work was done I had pointed out to Chad some bricks where the patio would meet a side wall of our garage because the bricks in the wall were disintegrating and I asked if they should be replaced before the work was done.  He said "No, they will be covered by concrete anyway" which in fact did not occur and now those bricks continue their flaking apart and will be difficult to replace.  Also, Chad added a step at the top of the driveway where it meets the sidewalk.  If he had asked me I would have told him that I did not want a step so we would be able to accommodate wheeled devices when necessary.  Two small areas of the decorative concrete have flaked off and I fear it will continue to worsen over time damaging the pretty surface.

Julie is amazing! She has excellent vision, and she really understood what we cared about in the kitchen.  She listened about what the most important factors for us were (more storage space, staying on budget) and created a beautiful design incorporating our key "asks."  She walked us through the entire design, talked with us about the colors and ideas, and quoted the project a couple different ways based on us doing some of the work ourselves.  We loved the overall design. and the one change we suggested she agreed would work. It was very collaborative.  She is a great representative for her company! We would highly recommend Cabinet Clad -- for us it is not a matter of if we will have them remodel based on Julie's design, but when that remodel will happen. We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Julie and Cabinet Clad Kitchens.

After having our basement flood due to a broken water pipe, we used an excellent company through Angie's List (Certified Water and Mold) to dry out our carpet and walls.  They did an excellent job, but we were then left to find new carpet padding and have our old carpeting re stretched.  I went to several retail locations and called several places listed through Angie's List, but I was not satisfied with the prices and/or response I received from them, and I found myself calling Ryan, whom I found on Craig's List. Ryan was very helpful over the phone and asked many questions about the water incident that none of the other companies had bothered to ask.  His prices were also extremely reasonable AND he was able to come to our home on a weekend only days after calling him.  He arrived on time and completed the work very well, even taking extra precautions for me because I am pregnant.  I really appreciated his kind attitude and respect for our home.  He expressed to us that his company also does many other types of work, including granite countertops, hard-wood floor repairs, etc. and we will be calling him again when we are ready to get some work done on our kitchen.

We have used Jericho in the past for kitchen and bath remodeling, that is why we used them again when we bought a new house. There sales people and project managers are knowledgeable and polite. They can have your ideas quoted within hours and they are pretty fast with their installs. We probably wouldn't take a chance using anyone else for remodeling kitchens and baths.

It was a horrible experience.  Once granite was chosen the contact person changed from the owner to the installer.  They first came to measure for fabrication.  No template was made just a rough sketch and measurements.  That night received a call that measurements were forgotten, with the option of wasting another visit or me to get them myself.  After measurements were taken an appt was made to do install which was very quick (At first a good sign).  The day of the install appt received a phone call that their truck broke down but they would only be delayed and did not need to cancel.  Upon me prompting communication each time it was reiterated they would still be there that day (this was at 6pm on a saturday).  I told them to come the next day instead which was agreed (after spending an afternoon waiting on them).  Next day no phone call or communication.  Five days later a call was received to setup another time.  The crew showed up an hour late, smelling of alcohol.  It took them 1.5 hours to bring the slabs in and then excuses were made that they had to leave and come back in the morning.  Next morning came, no crew and no communication.  After multiple calls to installer and owner, owner answered and did not know anything about what had been going on and no apology.  Installer finally called and setup a later time that day.  They showed up late as usual to an already late appt time.  At this point had wasted an entire day waiting on crew. They did not have all of their tools and ended up needing to borrow mine to finish promptly and not go back to their shop.  Job was finally finished and to normal people looked fine until you look at the details.  The sink looks to be cut out after someone had been drinking as there is uneven cuts and inconsistent overhangs over the undermount sink.  The seams can also be seen from 10 feet away.
Each time the installer came there were multiple people present but only installer was the one doing anything (very slowly at that).  Communication was incredibly unprofessional when it actually occurred.  Overall I would have paid significantly more to not have to deal with people of this caliber.  Its been a few days and not even a follow up from the owner to ask my opinion or apologize for the process.
DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR!!!  A DIYer could have done as good of a job as these hacks!!!

We called the company because they were on The Tile Shop's recommended vendor list. I have since called and told The Tile Shop I would strongly recommend they be removed from their recommended list based upon the extremely poor workmanship we experienced. Here are examples:

    • We've since found out they didn't reinstall the subfloor before putting concrete board down so the tile is moving and the group is cracked all over. It started cracking 90 days after it was installed.
    • The marble threshold was "half a$$" installed and my husband had to dig it out of there and regrout it.
    • The floor tile didn't butt up against the wall tile so we had to buy marble thresholds to try and cover the gap left due to their poor measurement and execution.
    • We had to mark 15+ spots twice with post it notes where grout was missing.
    • We asked to have them install a shelf in the wall cut out. They communicated they were going to glue it in and The Tile Shop person said that was a really bad idea b/c you can't take it out, clean it, etc. I asked them to drill a hole and use shelf hangers. They did and didn't drill the holes remotely level so the shelf is crooked. So crooked you can see it very easily with the naked eye.
    • They broke a handful of glass tile and just grouted right over top of it. We had them come out and replace them.
    • They installed the shower diverter backwards so the hot was the cold, etc. The new toilet was also installed incorrectly so it leaked. Consequently, we had to spend another $300 getting a plumber to fix their mistakes.
    • The pedastal sink we reused wouldn't drain at first. We figured out (after taking it apart) that there were several 1" pieces of tile shoved down in the drain that weren't cleared out so it was unable to drain.
    • They didn't mask off anything so our entire house had tile dust everywhere. Our basement storage area was covered in tile dust and large chunks of debris that they failed to clean up or at least minimize the need for cleaning by masking off an area.

Do NOT use this vendor. You'd be much better off doing it yourself.

I bid out my kitchen/dining room remodel with three companies. Jericho came out on top not only because of price (I wanted quality work), but because my salesman, Duane, had great ideas that helped me stay within a small budget and still get a terrific remodel. Two other remodeling companies who came by incorrectly told me I had wood floors under old linoleum. Duane knew better right away. That was a pretty big miss for the other guys.Duane suggested ubatuba granite countertops, something I didn't know about. They are beyond gorgeous. He convinced me to keep my kitchen's brick facing -- something I thought definitely needed to go. Now that the work is done, that brick looks fabulous and upscale. Thanks, Duane. I was home during the remodel, and appreciated the professionalism and neatness of Jericho's craftsmen. Thanks Steve, Jeff and Richie. Project manager Barry Hansel was always available and quickly responded to any concerns. I'm saving up so they can do my master bedroom remodel. Can't wait to get it done, and I won't bother to bid with anyone else.

Garry is the kind of craftsman you rarely encounter these days.  He truly cares about his work.    Garry is not the type of  remodeler who will be satisfied with giving you a lower quality product just to save money.    He was very upfront about the costs and allowed me to make the choices about products, however telling you the best products that he uses and why he uses them.  He has many good ideas from his years of experience, and a good eye for design as well.   Garry is Big Chiefs.  He did the entire remodel himself--he does it all, the demolition, the carpentry, the plumbing, the electrical and even some design.  He even repaired and refinished the antique desk we used for our vanity! He cut and polished the custom granite top for it and it looked fabulous.  That was his idea as well--and it turned out great. The only thing he does not do is paint.

I actually hired this company through the Angie's List Big Deal Coupon.  The base coupon was for $5000, however my bathroom was larger than the base coupon rate (62 square feet instead of the base 40).  The price also went up when the floor demolition began.   When Garry pulled up the old floor, he saw the old lead plumbing in the floor and he recommended that the entire concrete floor be removed.   He then removed it by hand chiseling it out over a week!  He did it that way so as not to crack the plaster walls in the house. Indeed we did not get any cracks.  The concrete was removed and  the old tub pulled out and he repiped the old lead waste drains.   He gave me a very fair price for the additional work.  (I have found in just about any major remodeling job to allow about a 10% overage for these kind of unexpected things.)

Having to do all that work did make the remodel go longer than I thought it would.  It took about 10-12 weeks, I am estimating because at the beginning he did not work daily as he was finishing another job.  Garry did not charge me any extra labor costs except for when he had his son help him with the concrete floor demolition.  He made sure I was happy and that all the little details were complete at the end of the job.

Garry Stefanatos is quite a character.   He does talk a lot and always has an entertaining story.   He ended up making good friends with my dogs and never let them loose.  He is a true craftsman. He will give you a fair price and an excellent result if you hire him.
