Auto Body Repair reviews in Mission

I was told by the Service Dept. at our car dealership that our door indicator lights were turning on and off because there was a deep scratch on the door frame of our van that they could not repair. I called Merriam Body Shop and they told me to bring the car over for an estimate. When they looked at the car, they knew that the scratch was not causing the issue but rather the door latch was the problem. While we were standing there, they fixed the issue free of charge. I cannot thank them enough. I would highly recommend Merriam Body Shop. They were friendly and extremely helpful!

    Hendrick Toyota Scion Merriam
Recently we took our 2012 Camry into the Hendrick Toyota Service Department for a factory computer software upgrade. The car had previuosly been at the Hendrick collision facility about a mile away for two weeks for some body work. We picked up the car at the body shop and dropped it off at the service department late afternoon and had planned to pick it up the next day. The next day about midmorning the service department called and advised us that our tires needed to be replaced because they had "dry rot". Dry rot for a 3 year old tires? It seemed like an odd phone call, but we declined to buy any new tires. When we went to pick up the car there was a large piece of steel lodged in the right rear tire. The low air dash light was on. The leak was bad enough that air could be heard hissing from the leak. Of course no one in the service department had any knowledge of the leak.Bottom line: The dry rot story was total BS and a feeble attempt to hide the leak. Hendrick wouldn't assume responsibility for the damaged tire. It obvious the steel that was in the tire came fro their shop or parking lot. It looked like a clip that might be used in industrial type boxes that car parts would come in.

    Kansas City Dent
Great experience. They did such a good job with both my 2011 Ford Fusion and my wife's 2013 Ford Escape, any time we have hail damage or dents we will bring it here again. I would highly recommend. Keith was who I worked with. They are very flexible with hours and worked hard through the weekend to have my vehicle ready. They did a much more thorough job inspecting the vehicles than the insurance's initial estimate was. It was a huge difference, very glad I saw the good reviews on Angie's List and decided to give this place a try. Highly recommend them.
Also - Their address on Angie's List is not updated, their new address is on their webpage

    Kansas City Dent
Working with Keith was great. He explained the removal of the dent process in terms I could understand. He was very professional and courteous . It took about 2 hours and you cannot tell where the dent was. I would highly recommend him and would use his service in the future.

The driver's side front panel scrape was done very well.  They matched the color perfectly.
However, the dent on the rear corner panel has produced rust spots in the repair location.  This service was completed in 3/9/12.  I noticed the rust spots on approximately 05/2013.
Also, I have noticed that the rear glass may have gotten clear coat overspray because at times in certain light I can see a haze that I have scrubbed but will not come off.
So I am a bit hessitant to take it back to get the rust spots repaired.  I may give them one more chance since they caused the rust spots and should fix them for at least a reduced fee.

    Sunflower Dent and Detail
I live close by so they picked up my vehicle and returned in when done. They picked it up at 10am and around 3 called to ask if i wanted them to do the PDR. i said yes and still had it back that same day. A little later than planned but not a problem. No detail shop on earth will ever 100% satisfy me in terms of cleanliness but sunflower comes very close. They did a great job.

    CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts
My door was damaged as a result of being left open while backing out ot the garage. The orginal esitmate was $600.00, but fewer parts were needed once they got into the job which amounted to a savings of $200.00.

    C & S Body Shop
Based on Angie's List recommendations, I went to C&S to get an estimate on body work on a collision repair. The facility itself is not even remotely fancy (if you were comparing it to "Diners & Dives," it would definitely be a dive), and it is an easy place to miss because it doesn't look like you might expect, and isn't well marked. Because I went alone (and as a female, I should know better than to do that anyway), I had serious second thoughts about even going in. However, the owner is a class act...polite, friendly, understanding, patient, and professional. By the end of our discussion, I had no qualms about being there or using C&S.

My original plan was to have the repairs done without running it through insurance, so he prepared a complete bid, explained the options, including those regarding using salvaged parts, factory new, refurbished, etc., and made recommendations, explaining the whys and wherefores on each option. I felt like he was honest and aboveboard on all issues. His bid was based on the calculations of an auto-repair computer program, and he showed me the results onscreen. Unlike other places in the past, where I have felt some element of BS'ing/finessing/fast-talking on a bid because they considered me a female-who-might-not-know-much, I did not feel that at C&S.

He ultimately recommended that I go through the insurance agency if possible because of the extent of the damage, cost of repairs vs whatever impact it might have on my insurance premiums, and the amount of time it would take...time during which I would need a rental car. He reminded me to check my policy to see if that was covered (which it wasn't). I believe his advice and explanation of the reasons to go through my insurance agency were correct and in my best interest.

Update: After reading the provider's response, I want to add that the ONLY reason they didn't get the job is because I haven't been able to afford the cost of a rental car for the time the repairs would take, so I haven't had the repairs done yet! I was impressed with the owner and have no doubt the shop would do an excellent job. And once I got inside and talked to him, I had NO CONCERNS whatsoever, felt very comfortable, and I think his comments are right on the money (no pun intended)!

High quality & honesty, these people are great. I have had lots of body work done here over the year and most recently during the cold weather my door handle just snapped off and it was replaced within a day. Easy to work with.
