    The adapter needed to be ground off and I brought the mower home and did the grinding myself.
    They went above and beyond expectations by telling me where to find the parts information that I needed and giving me contact information for local parts stores.

    My mower had quit working after making one pass in my yard.  I normally take my mower to another place (rhymes with ears) and this time I tried a new location.  Based on Angie's list and personal recommendations, I took my mower to RG Small Engine.  They immediately diagnosed the issue and provided a quote on the spot.  Given that the repair was fairly straight forward, the turnaround was very quick.  They called me later in the day and told me the Thermostat was out and that was causing my "hard start" issues.  I've had this issue since the day I had the mower and the before mentioned company that rhymes with "ears" failed to diagnose/fix this issue after five tune ups.  
    Today, the mower started on the second pull (normally it takes 6-7 pulls to start), and ran flawlessly.  I cannot recommend RG Small Engine repair enough.  They are very friendly, provide an accurate assessment of the issue, and most importantly, they fix the issue properly.  You have a customer for life.

    I took my lawn mower in to get fixed because it wouldn't start.  They charged me $59.99 to "fix" it, but the mower wouldn't start the first time I tried after returning home.  In fact the recoil cord you pull to start the mower was no longer attached to the engine.  Interestingly, the recoil cord was attached when I dropped it off.  So they charged me $59.99 and returned my mower to me in worse condition than when I brought it to them!  
    I called the provider and asked them to make it right.  I asked that they come pick up the mower and take another shot at fixing it.  I was told that "this happens all the time" and that it "wasn't their fault that the mower was broken".  They then proceeded to complain to me about how customers were constantly calling them up and yelling about how their mowers weren't fixed after getting them home.  Apparently they have a lot of unhappy customers, and this guy was not interested in hearing from another one.  I told them that they could make it right or I would dispute the charges.  They were not interested in keeping me as a customer, and we are now in the process of disputing the charges through Visa.

    My son said our mower had a broken key but my son couldn't get the flywheel off even with a flywheel puller. 
    I contacted Rob and he responded to my email within hours of my email.  I brought the mower in to Rob's shop and he said the key wasn't broken but found a chunk of foam that was clogging it.  He removed the piece of foam and my 20 year old mower started on the first pull.

    I took the mower to Fixin Lawnmowers on a Friday afternoon around 1:00.  It hadn't been used in two years, so I wasn't hopeful that we would be able to get it started.  They not only started it, but did the tune-up for me the same day.  I was able to pick it up by 4:30.  It was working and looked just as new as the day I bought it.

    They came out to the house and did all the work. They were very professional about it. They got done a lot faster than I thought they would. They actually pointed out some other problems that I can call them for with the way I had my snow ploughs stand up. I was able to correct those which was kind of cool. They didn't charge me for that. They were very good and they didn't leave a mess. We had to work around with the schedule a little bit.

    .I called RG, Rob said sure he'd look at it, called the next day and told me what was wrong, what it would cost and asked if I wanted him to fix it.  It was in my opinion faster getting on it than I expected, and doing the repair after calling me for a go ahead, had it ready in two days.  The cost of $55 was a fair price, (he was apologetic for the cost, explaining that he almost had to do a complete engine disassemble to replace the fuel lines).  I could see for myself that the manufacturers design was not done for ease of repair.
    I am completely satisfied with the cost, the responsiveness and Rob's professionalism.

    Later I found that one of the batteries would not recharge. I spoke to the manager and since he did not stock batteries for the unit he gave me a new replacement drill complete with two battery packs.. no charge..
    I also purchased a lawn mower there last summer and have had no problems with it.
    My only quibble is the usual... so much of what they sell is made in China. The lawn mower was a happy exception.

    I purchased a tow behind spreader from Reynolds on 9/30/11.  It was their Model Number LP25011 and cost $304.57. It came with a two year warranty which expires on 9/30/13. A control that turns a opening open or closed ceased to work. I took the spreader into their shop and they said they would not honor the warranty because the spreader was manufactured by a company called Brinly-Hardy and not by John Deere. They said that John Deere would not reimburse them for the work since Brinly-Hardy does not make any more equipment for John Deere. The spreader that I purchased is in John Deere colors has a John Deere logo on it and the John Deere name on the plastic cover so I assumed it was manufactured by John Deere.The warranty that comes with John Deere equipment says it covers parts and labor for all lawn and garden equipment and attachments for a period of two years. Reynolds said that many of the John Deere products are made by other companies but they all get painted in John Deere colors and logos.


    Update 9/27/13:

    I never got a manual. When I bought it, it was a display manual. He says the warranty is 12 months, but on my receipt it says the date is 9/30/13, and that would be two years from the day I bought it.
