House Painting reviews in Lenexa

    Neighborhood Painting, Inc.
Neighborhood Painting painted the exterior of our house a few years ago, and they did a very thorough job. They identified numerous areas of wood rot and replaced them so we didn't have problems with it later. Some companies would have just painted over wood rot just to get the job done. It still looks great. We used them again for a tedious interior job sanding and painting wood paneling, built-ins, box beams and banister. The paint job is precise and professional. We will use them again if we ever need a professional painter.

    Joe Fletcher Painting
Excellent results. Joe Fletcher is a professional. Cost reasonable. We were comfortable leaving him with our garage door opener for entry if we were away. All work was completed on time and his cleanup was great. We have already given his name to some family members, friends and neighbors.

    B&W Complete Home Services LLC
My review is based on both the extensive work completed and the as-of-yet unattended to correction that has been promised. I plan on editing this review if/when the mistakes are corrected. I contacted Ben, the owner, about fixing my kitchen. A dishwasher had leaked for several years causing extensive mold damage. The damage was so bad that it had ruined the siding on the outside of the house behind the dishwasher. The tiled floor had been raised for a heated floor by a previous owner which caused removal of the dishwasher to be a process of cutting the actual appliance out, since there was no room under the granite countertops to remove by sliding out. Originally, Ben gave a reasonable estimate on the work of removing the dishwasher and fixing the damage both inside the kitchen and on the outside of the house (after a mold remediation by a different company). Upon the successful removal of the dishwasher, which Ben did personally, the amount of damage brought about the realization of a much more extensive job necessary. He readjusted the estimate, totally fair. It was ugly damage. The new plan called for the granite counters to be raised up and suspended in order to remove an entire cabinet that would need to be remediated and/or replaced. The shape of the kitchen and workspace did not allow for this to happen. Instead Ben and his assistant completely removed the counter and moved it out of the kitchen. This process took a full day as they took pains to ensure the safety of the granite. I was impressed with his meticulous attention to detail in the removal. The mold guy (which I will also review) came in and, over an afternoon, successfully removed the mold. The cabinet was so damaged that it would need to be completely replaced, except for the facing which would allow for it to remain matching the rest of the kitchen. Ben spent another half day building a cabinet to the exact specifications of the previous one. It was reinstalled. The siding was repaired as well, and while not perfect, it was sufficient enough for me to still be ok with it. The granite countertop was brought in to re-set on the new cabinet. To be clear, this segment of the counters was a corner angle as well as a sink-surrounding piece. As Ben and his coworker were setting it in place it broke. It didn't just fracture, but it had a break all the way through, on the front and back side of the sink cutout. Ben was honest and clear about the break and said that he would make it right. He gave me options on the fix. I decided to have him fix it temporarily and see how it looked. He got it reinstalled. He also reinstalled the garbage disposal and sink. The sink had some sealant issues that Ben had to fix several times. He also tried to restore the joint between the granite slabs, but the gap was bigger and much more easily seen, as well as chipped. The crack was also filled and evened out. A few of the tiles on the backsplash were damaged as well, something that couldn't be immediately fixed. So the job was nearly complete if I was satisfied. The problem was that the crack was pretty obvious, and when I go to sell my house in the future, a buyer would definitely notice the flaws on the counter and the backsplash. I told Ben this would need to have that corrected. He offered to pay for an entire new countertop, because he admitted the fault was his, and very professionally looked to keep the integrity of his own company clean, since he is a small business. He agreed to contact another contractor to install a new granite countertop because it wouldn't be able to matched in just one portion. He also stated that the tile backsplash would be fixed. I appreciated his honesty and paid the man in full, with the idea that he would cover the costs of the future new counter and backsplash. I understood that it would take a few weeks for him to build up some capital to be able to afford the cost of the replacement and labor. So it has been 3 months now. Ben contacted me about 3 weeks after the job was finished to briefly update me on his search for a replacement counter. Since then however, no company has called me about the new counters. Ben is a small business owner and I know he has a bottom line to maintain to stay in business. He is very knowledgable and personable. It was a mistake/accident that happened after great care was taken to avoid it. But it is still a cracked countertop I have with no solution now being discussed. I hope that this will get fixed and that I will be able to edit this review to reflect that portion of the job. In the meantime I will recommend his work with a giant asterisk, that he hasn't followed through on his guarantee of costumer satisfaction. I have many other projects to work around my house on so I am also hopeful to rehire "B and W" for some of those jobs, but until the counter/backsplash issue is remedied I will begin to look elsewhere. I will also attempt to change the question "Would you hire again" from "No" to "Yes" if the countertop gets replaced successfully.

    Mission Painting and Home Improvements
From the very first call to schedule an estimate to finishing the entire project quickly and thoroughly, the attention to detail and level of service has been second to none. Eric answered his phone every time no matter what questions I had and was honest and thorough about the entire painting process. As soon as I decided that we were going to go with Mission Painting, Jordan was the project manager assigned and was on site and professional in every way. He always communicated with me and made sure we were on the same page regarding all the work that needed to be completed from wood rot to the final painting. I would not hesitate to use Mission Painting for future needs.

    Marlon The Handyman
Marlon did a meticulous job with every detail of the repair and caulking, the painting and the scraping and the cleaning of each window. One set of two windows is an old-style set, with 18 wood framed sections in each window. The work on that particular set of windows required an enormous amount of attention and care, and Marlon met the challenge. We were very pleased with Marlon's work.

    All Under One Roof
We had a double deck removed and a new deck constructed...This was our first time working with Bryan Delap and All Under One RoofRemodeling and Renovations. He was kind and cordial, easy to work with, and was very quick to respond to all questions. The quality of work was excellent and great attention was paid to detail at all stages of the project. Bryan offered options for quality materials that met our needs and were reasonably priced. He inspected work/progress daily. We were very satisfied with the completion of the project and will use Bryans services in the future, if the need arises. We highly recommend Bryan and All Under One RoofRemodeling and Renovations.

    JB Construction Company LLC
Selecting JB Construction to improve my home is a decision I'm very satisfied with, and that's coming from a discerning customer who expects things to be done right. After thinking about a remodel for a number of years, I finally got started by interviewing a number of contractors. The idea of updating your house is fun, of course, but there also was some trepidation about making the right choice since the project was going to be a significant commitment of time and money. After choosing JB Construction, Joe and his team really made the process as smooth as possible. They were professional and courteous and kept me updated on the work and next steps all along the way. They cleaned up the house daily after working, and they quickly made things right if I requested any changes or minor fixes. Their workmanship was terrific, the project on time and on budget, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results -- kitchen, dining room, family room, and hallway all brought out of the 80s and 90s into 2018. Thanks, Joe!

    Fresh Paint
Victor's price is always fair and, quite frankly, less than most companies out there. What sets him apart is that his work is impeccable and, most importantly, he is reliable. Victor will be where he is supposed to be and finishes the job when he says he's going to. I appreciate the fact that when things do come up, he is in constant communication with me and doesn't leave me hanging. That's one of the most frustrating things when working with contractors, lack of communication. I appreciate Victor even more for making sure he has the client's best interest in mind. I wish I had more jobs for Victor to do. I'd hire him in a heartbeat.

    Neighborhood Painting, Inc.
We had some fairly extensive wood-rot repair that needed to happen, and got quotes from 4 different companies for our project. Only one of those quotes included re-siding one side of our house, and that was Neighborhood. The other 3 companies just wanted to repair that side. After seeing what the studs looked like underneath our old siding, I am so thankful we listened to Ryan and re-sided. They were soft and rotting and had we just repaired the surface problems we would've been doing more repairs in just a few years. Neighborhood was not our lowest quote--this was not a cheap project--but we wanted it done right and after several conversations with Ryan we really felt like he was the most knowledgeable and reliable and we decided it was worth the money to choose Neighborhood. I am even more confident in our choice now that the work is completed. Ryan is the only one that detected how bad that side was, and I'm grateful we spent the extra money to do the job right. From start to finish, the project ran smoothly. Both the prep and painting crew were friendly and always willing to answer questions. What I was most impressed by was their punctuality. They arrived at 7 am every day, and they worked hard the whole time they were there (despite them being some of the hottest weeks of the year). They even went out of their way to do a few little extra things (like moving a tree branch that had fallen in our yard). They do a fantastic job cleaning up after themselves every night, I was thoroughly impressed by their work ethic and how professional both crews were. I also really appreciated that Ryan was easy to reach and prompt to respond to questions. Anything I asked him about, I had an answer within a few hours. In general this is just a well-run, reliable, professional company, and I honestly have nothing but good things to say about anyone I had contact with. While they may not be your lowest bid, I assure you it is worth the extra money to work with a company that will take good care of you, and to know your house is in good hands. We are so happy with the finished project and are confident the house will look wonderful for many many years!

Im extremely pleased with the work done! The crews were friendly, knowledgeable, and showed great pride in their work. They answered all of my questions and ensured I understood what was being done and why. This is a true example of where you get what you pay for; my house looks better than it has in 25 years! I definitely recommend this company!
