    Royal Polish Systems
We recently hired Royal Polish to finish our 3 car garage with a Saddle Tan Flaked Epoxy finish and are extremely pleased with the end result. Our selection process began by meeting with 4 companies and we selected Royal Polish after our discussion with Andrew. We used 3 decision points in selecting Royal Polish: 1) Andrews comments about their focus and commitment to provide a quality installation and a guarantee that they would not cut corners; 2) I had measured our garage square footage and Andrew was the only quote that had the same measurements without inflation; and 3) there price was competitive per square foot. We were so impressed with the quality of the preparation and installation of the finish. Every seam and crack was hand ground and then treated with a special sand compound and epoxy. The entire floor was then meticulously ground in addition to the tops of the foundation skirts. The skirts were then hand painted with sealer followed by the floor being rolled. I was amazed with the amount of flakes that were used. The entire floor and skirts were fully covered with flakes. The finish and flakes were allowed to dry overnight and the team came back on-time the next morning. The excess flakes were removed and the final coat of epoxy was applied. Andrew came back the following day to touch up paint where some of the woodwork paint had come off. Personally, we will use Royal Polish for any future concrete finishing needs.

    C & C Concrete Construction LLC

We had Chad Pratter of C&C Concrete Construction, LLC (NOT to be confused with C&C Concrete Specialists) give us a bid for concrete replacement of our driveway pad, a poured & stamped patio, replacement of front sidewalk and a front porch foundation/slab prior to starting construction of our new front porch in February 2014.  Due to several issues getting the porch project rolling we did not end up using C&C at that time because the contractor who built the porch did the foundation & front sidewalk himself.  Our porch project finally finished mid November of 2014.  In March of 2015 we decided we were ready to again get bids on the driveway pad replacement & a stamped patio.  We called several concrete contractors including C&C again.  Everyone that came out was mortified by the sidewalk replacement that had been installed by our previous porch contractor.  They all gave us a bid to not only do the drive & patio but to replace the sidewalk again.   After reviewing the bids & talking extensively with Chad we decided to go with C&C.  Chad  was very easy to talk to & we were very excited that he was not only able to honor his price from the prior year but we also liked some of his ideas & his plans for replacing the sidewalk.

Then the rain set in............ after 3 rain delay's we finally got our new driveway, sidewalk & stamped patio in early June 2015.  They are beautiful!  Chad & his crew were very professional & friendly.  His crew has been with him many years so that says a lot about him.  Chad was on site every day.  They did a great job cleaning up each day, were careful to protect any existing landscaping & structures.  They even did a couple extra's for us like straightening out the remaining gravel in the driveway where we did not extend the concrete & leveling a portion of the front yard near the new sidewalk where a tree had been removed earlier.

I would highly recommend C&C Concrete Construction, LLC to anyone.  We plan to use them again when we have the funds to extend our rather long drive on out to the street.

    Allan D Surber LLC
Well, let me start by saying that I REALLY wanted to go with Al but couldn't justify it given our experience with the bid process.  While not our lowest bid, we was very competitive and he seemed to know his stuff and provided advice on design as well as solving the drainage issue in our yard. He seemed to have a lot of difficulty estimating the square footage of our patio area given that it was a partial circle (other companies didn't seem to have as much trouble with it). The issue was responsiveness.  He said he had some health issues previously but I was under the impression that was over. So, after the first visit, I waited several days for an estimate and finally contacted him. He said that he needed to come out and measure again. After that visit, he called with some prices and said that he was having computer problems so would put a written estimate in the mail. I waited 2 weeks and received nothing -no letter and no email with anything written down.  At this point I decided to go with a different company mainly because the lack of response made me seriously wonder if the work would ever get done.  p.s., the other 2 companies I contacted: one gave me the written bid during the first visit and the other emailed me a bid within 2-3 days of the visit (they said it would be a week so they did it sooner).

    Kreative Driveways Inc
They did a great job. They were right on time and they did everything they said they would do. There were a couple of defects almost a week after they were done so I called them and they were right out and fixed it. I was very pleased them and the price too. They were very professional and the owner came every time to check everything. So far I think they are great; it has a three year warranty on it. I extend every three years.

    Quinn Concrete Construction
Joe showed up fast for the estimate, his prices were very reasonable, the job was done right when he said it would be. He gave us a couple addresses to check out for his previous work as well. There were no problems with the construction at all, the only issues we ran into was that some of our facia rock was knocked loose on the front of the house during stoop demolition resulting in another $800 for replacement of the facia, But that's because we elected to replace the entire rock facing instead of trying to get different rock to do a repair. Joe did call us the minute it was apparent that the rock was being knocked loose to get our permission to continue, and there are a couple of boot prints in our stamped concrete pattern on our deck patio, but these will most likely be covered by the firepit.. So still an "A" job for the work done, I would recommend and would use Quinn again if I need more concrete work done in the future.

The whole experience was great, it was the second time we used this company. They show up when they say they will, all employees are nice and very helpful. They listen to what exactly it is you want and work with you to make it happen. If you ask for suggestions they are great about giving you some and real good about making sure you can visualize what they are describing. The job was started even sooner than we expected which was great. We are really happy with everything. Everyone that has seen the work they did has loved it and several have asked for their name and phone number. Would totally recommend them and would use them again!

    Probuilt Patio Enclosures
I love the patio! Whenever we had an issue, Chris got right back to us. I needed this patio to be a certain size and shape to work with our patio furniture. Chris helped us to plan out exactly what we needed. They were patient with us and flexible. Their clean up process was immaculate. They even mulched the perimeter of the patio. They also stacked up some old stones on the side so that it didn't look unattractive.

    All Weather Decks
It was a flawless, completely stress free experience from the very start to the very finish.  Our neighbor had recommended this company explicitly and narrowed his pick from 15 others...his reviews of his experience sold us in choosing All Weather decks.
Cass came to give us a quote ....we had viewed his awesome pictures on line of decks his company had done. As well he came with a binder of pictures we could look at....his pictures really had sold us ahead of his visit.  Unbelievable the number and variety of decks he has done...all types large and small, high and low and patios as impressive!!!!!! Cass's confidence and manner was so pressure at all. He answered all of our questions,,listened to what we were wanting and drew diagrams for us with measurements. He made suggestions as we went along.  We had no qualms once so ever about how this project would progress and the finished product.
Cass was very very flexible on our starting date as we had an unexpected questions and was very accomodating.
His crew showed up each and every day as he said they would. They worked in 95 degree heat and worked so darn hard each day...every day all day long.  I watched them each day and was totally amazed at how skilled they darn skilled!!
The head gentleman...knew exactly what he was doing and guided the others incredibly well.  In about 4 days our deck was completed and is so so awesome....beautiful and so well built.  The stamped concrete....we decided twice to enlarge the size and Cass and his crew again were turned out way beyond our expectation....the the coolest us more enjoyment than I imagined.
Along this process, Cass answered all our texts and emails (with our many questions..) with immediacy...very prompt and no question was treated as idiotic.  This entire project was completey stressfree thanks to Cass and his incredible crew!  We are so grateful.

I have used Glen and Mountain in the past.  They re-finished my basement back in 2010 and they also did an addition (master bedroom, bathroom, walk in closet) to my parents house the following year.  I had full confidence that they would do a great job on my newest project and they did.
I did get some other estimates.  I had several companies come in and give separate bids for each job and one other company to give a bid for everything.  The amount on the estimates varied far more than I would have thought.  One company bid 9000 for the driveway while another bid 4999.  The company that bid 4999 had great reviews on Angies List so I was comfortable going with them if it didn't work out with Mountain.  The same company bid 2799 for the stamped concrete patio.  A seperate company that did the siding on my parents house gave me an estimate of 5999 for doing 2 sides of the house and all the fascia.  They did a good job on my parents house so I was comfortable going with them if, once again, it didn't work out with Mountain Construction.
I only had one company give an estimate for all of the projects (other than Mountain) and they gave a bid of 59,000.  No way I was going to pay that much when I had all these individual bids that added up to much, much less.
I had bids all over the board for the most expensive part, the screened in porch.  One company said 16,000 another 23,000 and Archadeck didn't give me an exact number but estimated 27000 would be the minimum if I went with the cheapest options.  I did not get an estimate for the landscaping or the french door in the kitchen leading to the screened porch or the atrium door going from the downstairs room to the patio.
So, when I contacted Glen I told him what all my estimates were and he said they could do everything, french door and downstairs door and landscaping included for 45,370.  He also said he would throw in installing a new storm door for our front door to our house.
To me it was a no brainer since I had already used Glen and trust him.
One of my priorities was not losing any size that we had on our old deck which was 20' x 16" so that was the size we went with.  Also, another priority was using a material for flooring that would never have to be stained, never splinter, never fade, etc.  I did a ton of research and in the end chose a product call Fiberon Horizon in the Ipe style.  Here is a link to it:
It is a composite wrapped in PVC.  My parents have a composite flooring and I told Glen that I wanted a porch to mimic the look and feel of my parents as much as possible but I wanted a different flooring since I had done some research and saw some reviews of the regular composite decking that weren't great.  When I found the fiberon horizon product one of the appealing things about it was that it was far cheaper than pure PVC.  Many posters on forums stated that it was hardly any more expensive than popular basic compsite materials.  This was one area where Glen and I had a mis-communication.  Since I had seen online that the price of the PVC wrapped composite was much closer in price to plain old composite than it was to PVC I assumed his total estimate of 45,370 was still what I would end up paying.  Well, at the end when they were all finished and I paid the final installment payment it was 1500 more than I thought it would be.  I was surprised and it hurt the wallet a bit since I had everything budgeted to the penny basically.
However, I couldn't be too upset.  I have to admit my screened porch looks better than my parents (the basis of Glen's quote to me was to use my parents porch as a reference) and I'm very glad I went with the PVC wrapped composite.  Also, the railing to the stairs if very nice and not made of composite material.  I guess I just wish Glen would have gone over with me at the time how much more I would be charged when it was all said and done.
We absolutely LOVE our screened porch.  We used a darker screen which gives us privacy during the day.  As you can see from the pictures (ha, if I figure out how to post pictures) from the outside you can't see in but from the inside you can see out just fine.  Also the screen is VERY tough.  I read reviews from people that said hail storms had damaged their roof, siding, cars, but the screen on the screened porch was just fine.  Also, the holes must be smaller than regular screen.  I've been in screened porches where very small insects (gnats etc) can get in but that does not happen in my porch.
My girls and wife attract any and all mosquitoes in the city, so much so that we couldn't really use our deck anymore (that and the deck was falling apart).  Now with the screen no more worries.  Also, per our request they put screen under the flooring to since we have gaps between the boards..
LOVE the french doors going out from the kitchen onto the porch.  On nice days we just prop open both doors and it's such a nice wide open view out to the porch and vice versa.  We eat dinner out there all the time, what's nice is even when it's hot in the summer it's not bad by 6 or 7 pm since the sun is on the other side of the house.  The ceiling fan really helps too.  Eventually I plan on putting a tv on the wall above the french doors in between the speakers.
The patio is awesome too, we had many nights in the early summer before it got hot this year sitting around the fire pit, and roasing marshmallows for smores with the kids or having a few beers with friends.
The driveway is such an improvement, I wish I had a before picture our driveway was really crumbling away.  The landscaping is perfect.  We just wanted something simple and low maintenance and that's exactly what Glen gave us.
As far as the siding goes, we already had 2 of the sides of the house done.  I know that sounds like total WT but I hate having to finance anything and at the time we had issues with rot and woodpeckers getting into the attic so we replaced the front of the house and the north side.  The rest of the house was already white so no one really noticed unless I pointed it out. Still, over the last couple years more rot was starting to show up on the back of the house and the south side so it needed to be replaced too.
That's about it.... any future projects we have we will be going with Mountain and Glen for sure.  Eventually we plan on knocking out some walls and going with an open concept (man I'm sick of that term, my wife is always watching HGTV) with our main level.
Ha, that said Glen may be sick of me by now - I think I am pretty high maintenance and am often bugging Glen with a ton of questions during projects but he always patiently answers any questions and gets back to me very quickly.

1st, met with John on time, as promised, and reviewed the driveway, walk and stoop to figure the best solution to repair and resurface.
After contract was signed, workers arrived on time with all tools and supplies needed. This was the hottest week of summer and I must say the workers performed beyond my expectations to complete.
Very satisfied with result and would highly recommend ClassiConcrete.
