House Painting reviews in Leawood

    Neighborhood Painting, Inc.
Both the construction crew and the painting crew did an outstanding job! They were very thorough, professional and meticulous. Painting and repair of a house is expensive. I feel we got what we paid for and more. Neighborhood Painting backs up their work with a 5 year warranty. My house looks better than new!

Doug was very easy to work with. The crew was professional, polite and accommodating. We were thrilled with the entire process and especially with the end result. We would highly recommend them, and will use them again for any of our painting needs.

    Brogan Painting & Remodeling
Andrew S was our project manager and was fantastic. Communicated very well and was very attentive to our expectations. He made confident recommendations on paint finishes, so we didn't have to second guess ourselves. Andrew's crew was very professional and they kept their work area very clean. Work quality was excellent as well. We performed several walkdowns during and after to make sure that the work was to our satisfaction. His crew did not hesitate to clean up any overspray or splatter, which we appreciated. He sent us photos from his crew during the daytime, as requested, to give us progress reports and also identified problem areas to consider. But, there was one thing that Andrew did that will make us returning customers: Aside from keeping the work inside of the house sealed and taped up from getting dust everywhere, it was his care and attention to details. My wife was 4-months pregnant at the time and we have a 2-year-old. We had just briefly mentioned the pregnancy to him at the beginning of the bid walkdown, and didn't say anything about it the rest of the time. Without missing a beat, he let us know after completion of the interior drywall that he had directed his guys to use a water based primer to prevent any hazardous fumes from lingering in the house due us expecting. It may not be a big deal or perhaps commonplace to use water-based primer, but we appreciated the consideration and his effort to put our safety first. Note that our house was previously a putrid seafoam green. We have had many neighbors stop by since to compliment the beautiful work and thank us for the new color in the neighborhood. Many have also asked about who we used, and we've happily recommended Brogan.

    Painting Innovations
We decided to have our fairly large house remodeled over the summer and selected Painting Innovations to be a big part of it. They painted pretty much every wall and piece of trim in the house. The kitchen cabinets were also brought back to life going from honey wheat to white. The exterior of the house was painted and involved some wood rot repair. They gave us the option of upgrading the exterior paint, and we did that. It increased the price a little, but we felt it was a good investment. David worked closely with me on the schedule, prep, color selection, status updates and provided great advice on other aspects of the remodel outside of the painting. In addition, the crew was able to work around a hardwood flooring project that was on a tight schedule. The crew was hardworking and courteous. They did a great job of prepping, painting, and cleaning up. The quality is excellent and the communication was frequent and effective. The house has been transformed and feels new again. We are certainly enjoying the new look inside and out. We will definitely use Painting Innovations again in the future. These guys are professionals.

    Mission Painting and Home Improvements
We recently contracted with Mission Painting & Home improvements to paint our homes exterior and have been totally satisfied with every aspect of the job.Our initial contact was with Eric who explained everything in detail and provided and estimate. We had two change orders which increased the final cost, but this was because we added to the scope of the work and chose an expensive paint. So if you are type of person who needs a down to the penny quote, make sure you know exactly what you want going in. Ricky and his crew: Selvin, Daniel and Robert were amazingly efficient, knowledgeable and hardworking all the while dealing with pop up thunderstorms and scorching heat. Every surface was cleaned, repaired, caulked and taped prior to painting. Honestly I think they spent 75% of their time prepping and only 25% painting but you can certainly see how all this prep work positively affected the finished product. I also appreciated the fact that they were careful around all my plantings which are numerous and quite frankly probably a pain to work around. When they were finished the job site was cleaned of all trash and debris which in my experience is often not the case. After completion I did a walk around with both Ricky and Jordan, the project manager, and didnt find one problem. How often can you say that? If something does come up I am confident they will resolve it promptly. Mission Painting may not be lowest bid, but you get what you pay for, and I feel like I received good value for my money. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat.

    Sharper Impressions Painting
I hired this company a couple of years ago to paint the exterior of my home that had just been stuccoed. The exterior is brick and stucco so pretty basic stuff. The crew sent out the night before the painting began was suppose to prep the exterior, cleaning surfaces mainly so that paint would actually stick to your house. They did a lousy job and rushed through so quickly it was a concern that I mentioned to the salesman. The work proceeded and there were a number of expectations that had been agreed to with the salesman and not kept with the crew. Now a couple years after the job, paint falls off my house and I routinely have to do my own maintenance. The paint used on this job was a quality paint from Sherwin Williams Duration which the company said they would warrant because it is good paint. I've personally used this paint on other projects many, many years ago and those exterior jobs still look great and have never required constant upkeep. Long story short, find someone else to do your paint job. It is to much to ask of this company providing them with quality materials and expecting a quality job at a premium price in return. I could go on but I've wasted enough of my own time with this bad decision.

    Bates Painting Co
Job was tough but they did good work given all the trimming that needed to be done around delicate screens, trim, etc. They preserved through heat, etc. and were informative as the project unfolded. I had several areas for touch up or adding a little more paint, and they were more than receptive without any added cost. Sometimes the response to emails was a bit slow but know they were busy.

Not well. We had used the company before and had a good result. This time, the stain peeled w/in 3 days of application. He came back to correct that problem areas and it peeled again. We stayed off of the deck for 3 days after each service. At that time, he said that he didn't know why it was peeling and offered no solution. The last email I received said "I have done nothing but offer you professional service and quick response. I haven't had to do this much for anybody else. I am tired of hearing about it. We will wait until spring and recoat it because we are not coming back more then once". He was paid in full for his services.

    DWIGHT MCGARRAH PAINTING
Couple of hiccups as far as communication, but once he knew I wanted blow by blow communication, he did it. End result looks beautiful, crisp and clean. They were neat and quick and cleaned up after themselves.

Very well. The carpenter and the painters were very professional and did great work. We are very pleased with the result and enjoyed the process. Everybody was easy to work with. They are busy so it took a while for our turn on their schedule but the wait was worth it. They showed up when they said they would and didn't lose focus or get pulled off to some other job. An excellent experience.
