    Deutch, Dr. Michelle B.

Selected this provider based on other Angie's List reviewers...very glad I did!!  Dr. Deutch and her assistant, Michelle, performed an initial consultation to completely familiarize themselves with my dental history as well as create a VERY thorough catalogue of my teeth (e.g., photos) and any pre-existing conditions (e.g., gum pocket/recession measurements). The above consultation really helps you feel at ease with Dr. Deutch and her staff.  Subsequently, I had a cleaning two weeks later, for which Casey the hygienist uses this awesome technique, followed by some fillings a few weeks later.  I absolutely FEAR/HATE novocaine shots but Dr. Deutch suggested nitrous in combination with an instrument that pulses to help distract you and diminish the injection's pain. While having to get fillings is never fun, the overall experience was one of the -- if not THE -- least stressful dentist appointment's EVER!

He is awesome. He is way ahead of the curve in terms of having the latest dental equipment in his office. His staff is always fantastic. One time his crown machine didn't work so well so he had a whole new one at no charge at all. That was on a Saturday too. Everything I have needed, he has done quickly. He backs everything he does. His staff is very, very friendly, and the dental hygienists all know the business very well.

I went for my biannual check up and cleaning.  As always there was no wait when I arrived.  Greeted by multiple familiar and friendly faces, and left with a smile - just like every other visit.   As usual they asked about my family and showed their genuine concern for not just my dental health but me as a person.  Great professionals and genuinely nice people.

    Huber, Dr. Stephen J.
It was a very nice atmosphere. He used new technology where they took a lot of photographs and put it into a machine that built the partial crown right there. There was no wait for it to be made. This new process saved more of the tooth and my time. He called me at home after the procedure for a follow up to make sure I was doing ok. He did that on his own without being asked and I thought that was very nice

    Craven, Dr. Scott
The service went great and he is a good dentist. He is prompt and he has got good people to clean our teeth. The old hygienist Matt was very professional and she cleaned them and I spoke of them all over the place.

Called late in the day it happened and left a message. The office called first thing in the morning and scheduled me in that morning. Dr. Gentry and his staff could not have been more professional, helpful and friendly. Their work was completed quickly and my smile is as good - if not better - than before!.

    Thomas, Dr. Kelly
Dr. Thomas is fantastic. I say that after having a couple bad experiences with other dentists in the past. You don't feel like you are going to the dentist with her. It is a very relaxing atmosphere. She is a very down to Earth girl. She also keeps furthering her education. It is a no pain experience, and she is very gentle.

    Craven, Dr. Scott
My husband and I stopped seeing our long time dental provider because his office was so inconvenient - downtown KCMO - and, he was becoming extremely expensive. My husband found a new dentist close to home but I postponed seeing anyone because, at the time, I was undergoing extensive medical treatments for another condition. Dr. Craven's office is across the parking lot from my workplace and I had intended to make an appointment for a check-up and cleaning. However, on June 25 (a Saturday) I lost a crown. I called on Monday, 6-27, and they got me into the office. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable. The receptionist, Debbie, greeted me warmly and welcomed me to the office. Dr. Craven is a good-humored, energetic person and his assistant, Theresa, very nice and extremely capable. I wear an upper partial although, not often because it has always been uncomfortable, but I did bring it with me so that, when the crown was placed, it would fit properly. Dr.Craven immediately recognized the ill fit and worked on my partial until it fits quite well. So far, I do not see that he has even charged me for that work. The exam included xrays, etc. and he has very modern equipment for that. They also worked me in for a cleaning that day. The hygienist, Corrine, is gentle and very nice. They have the water pik type of cleaning equipment which makes it much less painful. I made another appointment for the next day (6-28) for the crown prep work and to have the cavity filled. Another great experience. Dr. Craven uses a different kind of equipment to deaden your teeth - NO big needles! It was great. One other thing I appreciated was the fact that this dentist didn't try to "sell" me anything. My former dentist always tried to convince me that i needed a bunch of crowns redone and my teeth whitened, etc., etc. to the tune of about $10000. Dr. Craven's charge for the crown, exam and filling is only $1300.

I wouldn't recommend them. I felt like they wanted me to do more than what was really needed. They are a cosmetic type of doctor as well as a dentist. It seemed like they were looking for things. There was one hygienist that I didn't like at all. I have always liked the hygienists at any dentist I've been to. She was really pushy on selling me stuff and I didn't appreciate it. I quit going to them. He was busy and they wanted to reschedule at the last appointment because they messed up so I decided to change dentists. He was a good dentist. I felt like they were more into trying to get me to do the teeth whitening. I go to a specific endodontist for any kind of surgical stuff and they wanted to do it all there. I had a bad experience with an endodontist once so I really think you need to go to specialist when necessary. The staff was really nice. The ladies up front were kind. They are real attentive and I really enjoyed them. They were very friendly. He was nice, but I wouldn't use him.

I thought that I possible lost part of a filling in a tooth that had been crowned--a couple of months after a root canal by an endodontist in a tooth previously crowned. Dr. Schloegel's office got me in quickly, she took a look and told me that I had only worn away some of the composite over the metal crown and that the filling was still intact. I thought I'd have to have the filling replaced or possibly have the crown replaced. Dr. Schloegel told me neither would be needed and that she would keep an eye on the crown in future visits, but that it should be fine for some time.
