Cable Tv reviews in Leawood

Installation was problematic; the installer changed and even removed previous cabling and connections, totally unnecessarily. Speeds of their fastest internet service seldom even approach what they advertise. Service requests regarding same have been handled with superficial professionalism, but the actual problem-solving has been minimal. No significant improvement in service (i.e., download speeds, tendency for downloads to "hang", occasional buffering issues, all on their 300 Mbps service) has been noted. They have raised prices by 15-20% twice in the less than two years we've had their service. We are now looking to change ISPs.

Their customer service is horrible at best. Could care less whether you stay with them or not. This has to be one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. Their billing practices are borderline criminal and I would never recommend them. I've had months were my service was in and out could not get it fixed, they finally came out and found out the line was no good. Wish they did fix however, I never did get a credit on my bill for lack of service.

On a scale of 1-10, they get a -2. They're the best of the worst. They have the worst management of any company I've had the displeasure of working with. The phone works, finally. But their workmen only get a training period of 8 weeks, and from the several different techs they sent out, it's been a mixed bag of results. The last serviceman I had was very qualified, and was finally able to undo all the previous damage, but I had already been out of phone service for over a week prior to his arrival. Again, I put that all on the management.

Not well. The technician was able to set up the new digital boxes and things looked great on our main TV. He wasn't able to get my wireless internet working and said I'd need to tweak the settings on my router myself. After he left, I also found out that the premium sports package we already had paid for for the season no longer was showing up on our main TV. Bottom line: by the time the tech left, I was without my wireless internet and minus our much-watched and already paid for NHL channels. I ended up having to purchase and install a new router as the old one would not work with the new modem. I spent quite a while on the phone trying to find someone who could verify our sports package subscription and manage settings from her end to turn the service back on. While the person who eventually fixed this was very helpful and pleasant, I would have preferred not having to go through the hassle in the first place. The worst part of the whole experience came later, though, when I received my bill and was charged full price--not the promised discount--for ALL our services, not just the new ones. This was about twice what I was told I would pay. I spent over an hour trying to get connected to someone who could rectify the situation and give me the discounted rate promised. He supposedly verified this with his supervisor and said he would call back within a day or so to let me know what I should pay, and a new bill would be sent. I never got a phone call and the next bill I received again showed the full price. It took a few more calls (sometimes getting cut off while being transferred) and another hour-plus finally to get to someone who knew what to do. This time, while I never received the (again) promised follow-up call, the next bill I received finally had the correct amount on it. If it weren't for the fact that there are few other options in my area and I've had similar bad experiences with some of those companies in other locations, I'd switch to another provider. I can say, though, that I'll think twice before responding to another of their promotional offers.

The cable boxes Time Warner Cable installed in our appartment were old, outdated and only worked a few weeks.  We signed up for Time Warner Cable because they were the only TV cable service available in our appartment building and satelite TV was not available.  I would not rent another appartment that only had Time Warner TV cable access.  We used Time Warner Cable for 22 months they replaced 5 cable boxes but only the 5th cable box worked for more than a few weeks.  Time Warner's DVR service is outdated difficult to use and offers few options.  Overall Time Warner Cable service was unacceptable.
It took me almost two hours and three calls to cancel my service they offered service at a reduced rate and transfered me to the wrong deptartment twice.  I would not recomend Time Warner Cable.

I spent about 6 hours on the phone over several days to customer service for ATand T and could not get them to come back and hook up the service. I was constaantly put on hold and told serveral stories that never came true. Most of the time you are talking to someone in a foreign country that you can barely understand and the connection is terrible. I finally gave up after 8 days of not having a land line and internet connection that i was still paying for from the previous carrier. I went home and took out everything they installed and was able to once again have service. I have since learned from tallking with others that all internet and cable providers play the same game, gradually hike your bill until you call to complain or threaten to move to another provider. Its a shame that they want to run their businesses this way.

Lousy, absolutely lousy!  Am now realizing that the above statements, should have been posted in this section, but "Angie" doesn't allow "copy" and "paste" and I don't have time to retype all this!

I don't have enough time to tell the story from start to finish.  Bottom line is they have not provided the service they are being paid to provide.  They are not competent in their jobs.  Their service is horrible and I would not offer them to anybody.  If I could find a decent alternative I would go with them, but dealing with AT&T and SureWest was not any better.

The price is expensive.  My problem is I love sports, and I don't want to give up digital care.  They have $15 a month for one channel and once you have it, you hate to give up.  They just raised that channel's price.  I have a sports package.  They really try to keep me online and every time I have a problem, they do try to solve it.  The quality of service is generally pretty good.  They are always on time.  They guarantee you a window.  Most of the people I deal with, they are very professional.  I was with a different provider because of one specific channel; but Time Warner picked them up, so I started using them.

Kevin and Chris were great. They were prompt and responsive to any questions we had. We even had a question one Friday night, which was afer we had paid, and they helped us resolve the problem that night. Everything is awesome. I highly recommend them.
