We took our dog to have a sonogram. Arrive to have the sonogram only to have a doctor that clearly stated to us she did not know how to properly perform a sonogram. She told us our dog had at least three puppies, possibly more, and sent us along our way. Fast forward three weeks. Its really weighing on my fiance that she felt cheated on the sonogram and contacted the office to see if it could be re-done. They apologized and scheduled one with someone trained to do the sonogram. We go in this evening for the sonogram only to find out that not only is our dog not pregnant, but she has a severe infection and has to have an emergency surgery to remove her uterus and will never be able to have puppies. The doctor tells us how lucky we are that we caught this infection when we did or our dog would have died. Ill let everyone else, another veterinarian, the Kansas Veterinary Licensing Board, and an attorney decide the outcome in the end... But this office had the nerve to not only charge us for the operation to remove the uterus that could have been prevented if someone that knew how to perform a sonogram had done it in the first place... But to actually charge us extra because of complications also caused by their negligence. This will likely be veterinary malpractice. I cannot say anything negative about all of the doctors in this practice, but the ones that we have dealt with have been incompetent and clearly dishonest. As routine as a doggy pregnancy would seem to be, I cannot imagine trusting this practice with anything ever again. UPDATE: Attempted to pick up copies of the sonograms they performed. My fiance went in first and was told they couldnt be printed because the machine was broken. Then I go in and Dr. Liebl tells me the disc burner is broken. I ask for the make and model of the sonogram machine and Google it. There are a number of ways to transfer files from this machine. This is a deliberate attempt to slow our ability to get the documentation we are entitled to. More lies from both Dr. Liebl and his staff. UPDATE: Another veterinarian perform sonograms, performed the spaying procedure, and dissected the uterus. Our dog was never pregnant. The infection was very bad and it was determined it likely should have been caught at the first sonogram. This is why CPAH does not want to release our sonogram photos because those pictures will show that the untrained and negligent Myranda Lyon should have caught the infection in the first sonogram. It is also highly likely that, if caught earlier, it could have been treated with antibiotics and hormones and we would not have to sacrifice her uterus. We fully believe this is Veterinary Malpractice, further confirmed by the lies and the refusal to release records we have rights to. No amount of years of service mean a thing... When something goes wrong, that is where you see the true colors of their ethics.

Fast.  Easy.  out in 20 minutes.
Wanted to point out that staff there probably saved my dog's life at Thanksgiving.  My animal was feeling poorly and Dr. Anna recommended she go to K-State because tests at LVH were not conclusive.  We went immediately, and emergency surgery was performed that night!  My dog spent a week in ICU following surgery, and Anna followed up on her every day with me.  She is still recovering, and fortunately she can see Dr. Anna and Dr. Jim.

He gave my cat some shots and a yearly exam. I thought they were prompt and friendly. They were professional and anwered all my questions I had. I was interested in getting dental care for my cat so they gave me more information about that. They also gave some samples to take home.

She has been our vet for many years with several dogs for which we are grateful. She gave great care through the elder years of our last dog. She's so tender and yet practical about animal treatment. We have referred her to friends and all have been please with her services. She has good employees and assistants. They also make you feel like you cannot get better care. She sends a donation to K-State upon the death of your pet. She also sent a get well greeting to a friend in the hospital who uses her. There is no better vet in our neighborhood!

I have a diabetic chihuahua who is not very friendly at the vet. He has to be muzzled even for a nail trim. I see Dr. Miranda Lyon for blood work and check ups. She saved his life. I truly believe if not for her patience, kindness and knowledge he wouldn't have made it. This office is not the cheapest you'll find, but they are the best in Lawrence for sure! Dr. Tom is super awesome too! But is very busy and in an emergency situation Dr. Lyon was able to take care of us. I'm so glad we found her, I don't know if anyone else would have cared the way she did.

He was very, very compassionate.  My oldest daughter insisted on holding her kitty while Dr. Nottingham did a quick exam to confirm our diagnosis that she was indeed dying of very old age.  He was very careful and kind with my daughter and the kitty.  He offered his condolences and let us know we had made the right decision in easing her suffering.  Being a mobile vet is awesome as our kitty was home surrounded by her family.
This is par for the course for Dr. Nottingham.  He's always been very friendly, very informative and his prices are very easy on the budget.  The level of care he has provided our animals all the years we've used his services has been absolutely top notch.  He takes the time needed to care for the animals plus a little extra to visit and be friendly.  I have never been made to feel like I was wasting his time, ignorant or a bother.

This was an extensive, careful, educational visit, as have been all of my appointments at this clinic. My pets leave this facility thoroughly evaluated. I leave with detailed information, and a positive feeling about the care and knowledge of the providers.
Yes, this veterinary clinic is more costly than some. But they talk to you about different levels of service and the prices openly, letting you make an informed decision before you proceed. Midge the Dachshund's colon issues have required extensive diagnostics and treatment over months. I was always informed and never felt pressured as Dr. Bradley dealt with me regarding the various options.

We have been taking our dog to see Dr. Liebl to treat his ongoing ear infection as well as skin allergies. Dr. Liebl is very thorough and knowledgeable with animals and it shows. He has been taking extra time to have phone conversations with my husband and I whenever needed, and has been treating our dog with every effort to try to resolve his ear issues. Every time we bring our dog in he gives him a full check over and takes time with us to explain things. The staff seems friendly as well. It is worth our drive from Topeka.

I have been taking my dog to a different vet for the past 10 years (ever since I got her as a puppy). I got an estimate on the surgery from that vet and thought it was extremely high. So, I called several other vets in town and asked general questions about their services, plus checked online reviews. Based on that research, I chose Animal Hospital of Lawrence. I took my dog in for an initial consultation with Dr. Bayouth. He was very nice, gentle with my dog and explained what needed to be done and the options. He also gave me an estimate for the costs right then (as opposed to the three weeks I had to wait from my other vet). The estimate was less than half of the price estimate from my other vet. Just the dental cleaning was about 1/3 the price quote from my other vet. The surgery went very well. Three weeks later my dog is fully recovered and is doing great. The total cost was very close to the estimate from Dr. Bayouth. He took the stitches out about two weeks later and there was no charge for that visit. I was very pleased with the experience and have transferred my dog's medical records from my old vet to Animal Hospital of Lawrence.
One thing I can't figure out...why Angie's List requires me to put the year my home was built for a review about a vet.
