    I scheduled my service over the phone on tuesday 2/7. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very polite and assured me that they were the company for me. When I asked about hidden pricing and extra add ons she said the only extra's were for scotch gaurd and pet enzyme for pet stains. I explained that I had pet stains I wanted taken care of and asked for price quotes she said it was $20 but the technichian would be able to tell me more when he arrived based on what he saw. I very clearly exlpained the urine was on two pieces of furniture and the carperting I was having cleaned. I gave her my address and asked if I was in the service are and was told yes. Their website listed DeSoto and Lawrence as service areas which I'm literally 1/2 way between the two. The woman said someone would call the day before to confirm. We set my appointment up for 9:00 Friday 2/10. At 7:45 Friday morning, dispatch called to tell me that someone would be arriving at my house between 9:00 and 9:30. At 8:30 a the technician called to tell me that he was about 50 minutes out but would need to charge me 15 dollars extra because of the distance. I said no, I had specifically asked about that in the begining and had been told there were no extra fees, so if that was the case that I wanted to cancel. He said he would call the office and see. He called back and said the company said they would cover the cost of his gas. I then called the office to verify this information and the woman whom I had spoken with previously had no idea what I was talking about. Then she said she would see about getting the service fee waived. I explained that their website had me listed in their coverage area, she said she was new to the area and was unfamiliar with the cities. This is when I learned that the company was based out of Independence NOT shawnee as I first thought. I told the lady to cancel the service if hidden charges were going to continue to pop up. She assured me they would not.  

    No one showed up until 10:15-10:30, he worked for about an hour then his equipment broke.   He started making calls trying to figure out what to do and continued trying to get the job done.  At 11:30 I told him I had a 1:00 appointment and needed to know if he would be done by 1:00?   He said he would not be done.   Then at 12:45, with not even the carpet cleaned all the way, he gave up, asked me for 20 dollars cash and said he'd tell the company he hadn't gotten the job done but otherwise he'd have to charge me the min. $50.   UH, no you didn't do anything.   So I called the company.   They appologized for the circumstances and said they had another tech on the way and would be there in 30 minutes.    The 1st guy packed up and left.   I called the company back and spoke with the "tech manager" and he said "Mama you seem very intelligent so I want to explain things to you"   "we wouldn't have been in business since 1957 if this was the way we did business."   One of my complaints being that the 1st technichian showed up reaking of cig. smoke.    He said he had a senior tech they wanted to send out and he was going to call him directly and then call me right back...... an hour+ later I hadn't heard anything (you think I would have just cut my losses)   Finally I called, they weren't happy to hear from me again.   But he said the gentlman was set to come out but he was in Lee's Summit and they preferred to do all their cleaning in daylight hours (it now being 3:30) would it be better for him to comve on saturday.   I said that was fine.   He said he would have someone at my house at 9:00 Saturday morning.   I said I wanted to discuss price before we hung up.  He said it would be the $49 for the first room 20 for the chair 20 for the couch and he told the tech to work with me on the pet enzyme and they would waive the transportation fee for my inconvienence (oh so considerate since they were going to do that anyway).       So.... Saturday Morning comes and at 9:00 I get a call from the tech that he is just now leaving Independence and would like directions to my house.   He arrives a little after 10:20.   We discuss prices, I said, what can you do for me price wise because of all the issues I've had, and that I was told 9:00 today and it's 10:30, and he said he didn't even know until this morning hewas coming out, but ne and he takes 10 dollars off the price of the pet enzyme and tells me that the boss told him I was going to
     give him 30 dollars cash for gas.  I told him that was never part of the deal so if he'd rather not even start, to not bother.  
    He's currently cleaning, seems to be doing a good job, but I'm extremely upset that I'm paying 1/3 more than what was originally discussed, I have no idea if he's really using the pet enzyme, the manager said yesterday they put the enzyme on, let it set for 30 minutes then go back over it with the cleaner, so I'm not seeing that, so have no idea.....  


    Can barely stand being in the same house with the stench of cig. smoke.
