    Terminix - Indianapolis -Termite & Pest Control
    If you value your money, you will not do business with this Terminix office. They are terrible!! They lie and will not do what they sell. We paid $1500 to remove squirrels from our attic last year (June 2017). We have attempted multiple times to get them come out and get the squirrels. They would periodically come out and tell they just need to adjust the traps. It did not work. After a year of frustration, I asked for a refund. I did this knowing that they had a full satisfaction guarantee. THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR MONEY BACK GUARANTEE!!! They have given me the run around for at 5-6 months about the refund. They have had multiple managers and given me the same type of response. The current managers Ken, Tony and Scott have all given me the run around blaming the regional vice president saying that he has to approve of the refund. The corporate customer service has said that the local office has to approve of the refund. These guys are complete liars and cannot be trusted. Now when I call Ken with my cell phone he will not even take my call. I immediately called him back from a number that I knew he would not recognize, he immediately picked up the call. Just this past week I went into my attic to change the air filters and saw the "squirrel traps" that they supposed set to catch the squirrels. To my utter surprise, I find MOUSE traps. (See the pictures below). These guys clearly don't know what they are doing but charge excessive prices like they do. Again if you value your hard earned money. DO NOT USE TERMINIX!!!

    Scat Pest Control was very good at working with my schedule. The technician was right on time, conduct a general briefing about what he was going to do, and completed the job as he stated. I feel the price I paid was average for the services provided. I will continue to use Scat for quarterly pest control services.

    Regular lawn maintenance and solutions for problem issues such as fungus and grubs. Lawn Pride is extremely attentive to each lawn's needs. The team provides thorough reports of the lawn's progress and issues, and makes suggestions for additional services without pushing them. They're extremely thorough and I've recommended them to several friends. My lawn looks like a commercial, and they've nurtured new seed and sod into a healthy yard, while stressing the maintenance. Highly recommended.

    There's a set schedule during the grass growing season and then they spray for pests quarterly. They've done a good job and they are very knowledgeable when it come to my yard. I have a challenging yard because its sloped. I've had issues with weeds that they have been able to get rid of.

    He was very pleasant. It accomplished what I set it out to do, but the traps he set and what he put in it, they sell the exact same thing at Meijer, so I can do it myself. I thought they were using something that the regular person can’t purchase.

    Alterra rang my doorbell and offered an opportunity to sign up for pest control at a reduced rate. The salesperson stated that because he was working in my neighborhood, he would cut a deal, and only charge $69. As we were troubled with ants, I agreed to the service, but have been extremely unhappy since.
    I paid the first service person via check on the spot (we have had problems in the past with vendors getting our credit card numbers and charging for services that they didn't provide). I subsequently received a bill in the mail! and when I called the company (which took some time because of call volume), I was told: "don't worry, just ignore the bills")...
    Then, at the time that I contracted for the service, I confirmed that the service would be provided at my convenience, when I was at home, which means on the weekends. I explained that this would be essential, as I work M-F, and I want spraying both in and outside of my house. Of course, I received an robo-call, indicating that they planned service, during the week. I again had to call (and wait, and wait, and wait)...and was told that they would cancel the service. Unable to schedule at that time, because they did not have Saturday appointments for at least a month (hmmm.....).
    They came on Friday, despite the cancellation, and left me a bill. So I will have to again call (and wait on hold)--this time I intend to cancel their service.

    We were able to quickly set up appointment and found the staff to be friendly and professional. When the exterminator came to our house, it seemed rushed. He sprayed behind our home, in our kitchen and on our front porch which took no more than 10 minutes. There was visible powder on our kitchen floor and when I asked if this would be a problem for our dog if she licked it, he simply replied that it would be the first he had ever seen that with a chuckle. So, I was never quite sure if it was pet-friendly or if I needed to keep the dog and kids away from the treatment for a period of time afterwards. He was friendly, but didn't explain much about the procedure or seem to take too much time. I am not certain if that is typical because we have not had to have such a treatment in the past.
    We did get ants back in a month and half (just after their warranty period). The company offered to come back for $50 to re-treat or suggested an ant bait that we could purchase at a hardware store. We did purchase the baits but just got them and don't know how effective they will be yet. It was disappointing to spend $89 and have the pests back so soon, but do understand that we were officially outside of the guaranteed time to re-treat for free.
    Overall, I was fine with the company, but will probably try someone else next time to see if we have better luck keeping the ants away longer. But, to be fair, it has rained a great deal since the treatment and, apparently, that can increase pest problems and may be why they came back so quickly.

    We have been in our new home for approximately 1 month and twice in the past three weeks Alterra has sent cold-call solicitors to our door.  I listed to their pitch the first time (the typical we are in your neighborhood working at so and so's house, blah blah blah) and quickly decided I wasn't interested.  Three weeks later they sent out another rep (this time a "regional sales manager") and once he identified himself as being with Alterra I informed him they were just here, I wasn't interested then and I'm not interested now.  He apologized and left without a further pitch, which was refreshing, but it's ridiculous that a company would send reps to the same neighborhood and houses so often.  I have no idea what the quality of their work is, but I would never hire a company that is so aggressive in their door-to-door solicitation practices.

    We used them for about two years, and in two locations.  They came out as scheduled which was great, and I never had trouble reaching them when I called.  The issue we had, however, was once I would set up a call back if we found ants inside or had an issue.  They scheduled the call back but no one would ever show up.  Very rarely did we actually have someone who came as scheduled.  They were professional on the phone with us, even when we cancelled service.  While we did end up finding a slightly better deal, that wasn't the reason we cancelled.  If they had come out when we had a call back, we would probably have stayed with them.
