    Duncan Appliance Service
Whole process went smoothly. Appointment time, notification before arrival, answered questions, and reasonable rate to fix my (old) dryer. Parts were on truck. He also cleaned interior and did a little preventive checking along the way. This is a fridge magnet I'm saving!

    Sears Appliance Repair
Warning - when the website says that a service call is $87 (even if they can't repair it), it's not going to be $87 - we were charged $180 for a 15 minute assessment of our washing machine, noting that the drum needed replacement, and that the part is not available to them. Complaints about the unfair additional charges can only be addressed to a foreign call center whose employees read "stock" answers ("We have a 30 day guarantee on repairs, would you like the technician to return?" was useless unless he could economically fabricate and replace a washing machine drum!), are incapable of understanding English well enough to address your complaint, and aren't authorized to make any refunds. Bottom line? If you run into any problem, the only recourse you'll have is to sue Sears. Good luck getting paid before they go bankrupt.

Terry was great - he answered the phone himself, helped me diagnose the problem, and promptly showed up the next morning with the three different parts that might have been needed to fix the fridge. He only needed to install two. He also was thorough and detailed about my particular type of refrigerator, its components, and its life expectancy. Good work!

    Jerry's Appliance Repair
We had a technician from out to look at our Samsung refrigerator on Tuesday May 22nd. In doing so, the technician suggested that the parts and labor to repair the fridge would be cost prohibitive and the money would be better spent on replacing the unit. We were then charged $79.95 for the Service Trip (no problem, we knew that up front) and at the time did not have an issue with his assessment. On Wednesday morning (the 23rd) we woke up to find one of the drawers in the fridge full of water, which had never happened previously. While in the past we have had some water collect under the drawer, it was a very small amount and would take months to get to the point where it would be noticeable and need to be cleaned up. Following their visit (yesterday) water is now collecting inside the drawer and is at the point it is re-filling the drawer every few hours and needs to be cleaned up constantly (it was cleaned out this morning and was full again by lunch time). I then called Jerry's Appliance to see if they could come back out and take a look at what had changed - obviously something that their Technician adjusted has caused the water to collect much quicker. In doing so, I spoke with Terry York in Customer Service. Terry informed me that they would have to charge us again the $79.95 to come back out - which is absolutely ridiculous, why would I pay for them to come back out and fix an issue they caused. I then asked for a refund of the original $79.95 charge, and was told no, he wouldn't do that. Following that exchange, I asked to speak with his supervisor and he refused to allow me to speak with anyone else, stating that the 'buck stopped with him'. I honestly have never seen such poor customer service, it seems Terry has a lot to learn about how to treat his customers.

They did an excellent job and we were happy with the service. The technician was very polite and knowledgeable. He was able to get the work done quickly. We would use them again in the future and recommend them to others.

great. They came out to replace the gauge and got the dishwasher working again. Had to order the front panel. When it came in they came out to install it but realized that when it was shipped damage had been done to the panel (this couldn't be seen until the box was opened and the panel was ready to install.) They returned it - ordered another on and installed it when it came. Very fast professional and a joy to work with

Choose Your Time Appliance Repair Inc
This company does business as "Choose your time appliance repair", "A Affordable Appliance Repair", and "Affordable Appliance Repair". The technicians always wore "Choose your time appliance repair" and the repair ticket noted the same. I had to use these guys (as "A Affordable Appliance Repair") for a repair covered with a home warranty but given a chance to do it again, I would pay someone else and skip the warranty process. They arrive late, take phone calls and texts throughout the visit. One technician said the last one who came out was unqualified and should not have been dispatched. In two cases they left parts on the floor when they left. It took 5 visits and they are still unable to fix the problem. their troubleshooting consisted of replacing the most expensive parts instead of diagnosing the real problem. Both technicians agreed the dishwasher didn't sound right and that the food left behind on dishes wasn't right but the owner told the warranty company everything was ok and they weren't going to do any more. Surprise, now they won't return calls.

Pros: Quick to schedule Wonderful receptionist Cons: Brad--angriest critter I've ever met. Literally, angry for no cause (hopefully after reading this he will be nice to people or at least grow a soul). Why was Brad so terrible: 1. Called to have dryer repaired. My spouse had been advised to take the back off of the dryer (not by this company though). This was unfortunately bad advice because when Brad showed up he flipped out acting as if my spouse was Judas actively betraying Jesus. Literally, my husband only took off the rear piece and didn't touch anything internally, and Brad acted as if my husband had tore the entire dryer apart, took a bowel movement inside of the dryer, and then expected Brad to make it all better. Brad panicked "I know when to back away from something. I'm not getting involved with putting your husbands mess back together." There wasn't a mess. The screws were bagged and everything was put back together. It took the other repair agency 5 mins to put it back together. So difficult....for Brad. By the way, Brad was only at my home for less than 5 minutes (because my audio recording was only 1:42 long and I started that after he entered my home. So glad he can back away from a problem so quickly without looking at it). If only Brad would have said, "I'm sorry but I'm not able to work on a dryer that has already been tampered with by your spouse, etc" or been more professional I would have understood and accepted that he couldn't help me or wasn't able. I get it because maybe he's been screwed by bad customers in the past and was taking precautions. However, even as I adamantly explained that I just wanted his assistance he became even more irrational. He refused to assist me. And then he just left. I ended up voice recording our transaction because he was just such a jerk. I wish I would have videotaped it for someone to see his whiny face and hand movements. Basically, Brad was upset because he didn't want to work on Friday. He didn't charge me a service fee (surprisingly) but that would have involved more work and well that's not for him. 2. Just came unannounced into my home. However, I understand why he did this now because he's angry at life as he doesn't know how to be professional or respect boundaries. 3. Unprofessional and just a jerk. Learn some tact and some flexibility for that matter. This is probably a great company but if Brad is your technician make sure you don't ask for him on a Friday....especially after 1... Went with another company who came out and fixed the dryer 2 hrs later without complaint.
