CSaylor Land Surveying IncI called Mr. Saylor and a date was agreed upon. He showed up around 9:30-10:00 am. We talked about the price and he quoted $700.00. We walked outside and my husband asked him a few questions that led Mr Saylor to talking about politics and he said that he thought the president was dooming our future and I said I thought he was doing as well as he could given the circumstances. Mr. Saylor got a bit upset and I said that I should go in and keep working on my project. He drove his truck around on the roads and actually on our unpaved ground to do his surveying and post placement. My husband followed behind as he was placing his posts. While Mr. Saylor was placing his posts he told my husband that he was not going to place posts on the ditch side since the property line is halfway between the banks?! Thought that was too vague considering it was a survey but he was already gone by 3:30 when I returned with the kids from school. We got the survey map on Friday of that week and an invoice for $830.00 with no explaination as to why the cost was more and no due date on the bill either. I'm not really satisfied with the price having gone up with no explaination and one side of the property not even staked (it is 8 acres). I cannot be sure but maybe because he and I did not agree on a political point that the bill went up? He was a bit red faced as he heard my opinion. If you do hire Mr Saylor, don't get into casual talk!- Karen B.
