The job went very well. Jeff Lacey was a great contractor to work with. He was always willing to listen to what we wanted the project to end up being and did everything in his power to make it happen. We had a lot of extras we put on Jeff after the job started and he was more than happy and capable of taking on the extra even when it was not something he had previous experience with. We had him install a full theater entertainment center and a rock climbing wall in the kids play room, both extras we did not plan on doing until we saw how good of a worker Jeff was. We plan to use Jeff again in a couple of years when we remodel our kitchen.

    ROSSI CONSTRUCTION
Terrible. I had to hire another company to fix bamboo flooring which was installed without proper expansion gap in several places in spite of my numerous calls to project and general managers and owner regarding this during installation. They also started late and took much longer than they said it would take. Sinks leaked and it took multiple tries for them to properly seal drain pipes. They did ultimately reimburse me for the money paid to the other company but it took a BBB complaint to get that done. I was yelled at and told I made problems up even though I sent many pictures with proof in emails and text messages.

    ROSSI CONSTRUCTION
From the beginning to the end of bamboo installation I had to repeatedly contact owner and general and project managers about lack to expansion gaps even though multiple instructions from boxes on floors after getting no where with crew. Bamboo buckled in multiple places. Two weeks after job completed they returned and fixed one bedroom in which 1 wall had no gap to "prove to me there was a manufacturing defect, not an installation problem. I had to hire another company to fix the lack of gaps in hallway and another bedroom and they found quarter round too tight in places and nailed into bamboo in living room. Rossi will only reimburse if a I sign warranty waiver which still has not been provided even though it was requested in May so that I could review it. I also sent them many text messages and emails with pictures which documented problems In spite of this the project manager denied there were problems and the general manager accused me of making up the problems and both yelled at me and hung up on me multiple times and the owner ignored me. The one crew member who I liked told me that being a female, even though I was bright and did research, I probably didn't under- stand floating floors. I know the difference between floating and bucking at the joints. Bathroom sinks leaked and I was told faucets defective even though it was same one I got for my mother four years ago. After multiple attempts there were no leaks. Stove was leveled when delivered in February, but not when Rossi put it back. Also medicine cabinet was put up crookedly and one transition piece put on wrong. Vinyl flooring was done well and vanity tops were attached well. I tried to attach a picture but could not get that to work.

    PRJ Construction Concepts LLC

I called PRJ Construction Concepts after reading reviews on Angies List and was NOT disappointed.  I noticed water on my patio after a shower and knew I needed someone to fix it.  It turns out that the shower drain was laying on the crawl space floor and had detached from the shower thus allowing water to escape through the exterior wall.  Also, what we thought was a heating vent was actually an open hole to the crawl space allowing smells to come into the room from the crawl.  I always wondered why that room was so cold in the winter.  If that wasn't enough he discovered that the bathroom exhaust fan was venting down into the crawl adding to the moisture problems he discovered. I think Peter knew he had a challenge on his hands.

What I liked most was that PRJ came in with a plan to fix everything and he did so in less than two weeks.  He got rid of the mold, fixed all the rot, and re-engineered the bathroom so that while it's still small, it feels huge.  He is a true professional, his pricing is fair and he is great to deal with.  I'm planning on having him back for more projects down the road and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs work done.

Company is very prompt and dedicated to finishing job in a timely and professional manner. Prices reasonable. Always in communication and available to discuss project. He even sent me ideas for the bathroom while he was out at stores. Will hire again, he can do anything....and best of all he didn't mind my 4 dogs bugging him all the time.

We originally contacted Tom to rip out and pour a new concrete patio in our backyard late summer 2014.  We got an estimate and Tom told us that his schedule was filling up but he would do his best to get our patio done as long as Mother Nature cooperated. Well....she didn't!   We had a lot of rain last Fall so that delayed the concrete jobs in front of ours.  Tom explained this could happen and let's be honest....we cannot control the weather!  Tom told us that he also does remodeling work during the winter months.  We asked Tom to provide a quote for our basement.  We had a good idea of what we wanted and Tom had no problem understanding our "vision".  His proposal was good and we signed the contract.   Tom and Zack showed up the first day and started tearing out the basement.  They took it down to the studs and cinderblock walls.  When they removed the drop-in ceiling it was discovered that the electrical had to be redone as the prior owner or builder did not have it up to code.  Our new shower is ceramic and we went with a multi-function shower system.   The ceramic had to be cut around each of the 7 shower heads/handles/sprayers.  It was alot of work but we never heard a complaint.  Mid-job we added a tankless water heater for this bathroom.  Tom and Zack were able to run a new gas line and install with no issues.  Our previous bathroom did not have an exhaust fan so our  plan was to to add one.  Our thinking was "bigger the better".  The fan was delivered  and it was too big to install in the ceiling.   Tom jumped on the phone with the manufacturer to see if we could install the fan in the wall.  Luckily they were able to figure out a way to get it installed in the wall.   They also had to run a vent to the outside.  As the bathroom was coming together, I noticed that our old bathroom window looked bad.  I asked if it was too late to get a new one.   Tom said "no" and picked it up the next day.  The new bathroom fixtures and cabinets were added with ease (at least they made it seem easy!).  We added new interior doors including 4 pocket doors.  We added drywall to the laundry room, canned lighting, ceramic flooring throughout and new wood trim.  They even painted!   In the midst of our construction, our main water heater went out.  Tom and Zack stopped what they were working on and replaced that too!   They also added lighting to our garage and ran a separate line for an electrical outlet on the outside of our garage.   We will have them back next Winter to finish the other half of our basement.
Tom and Zack are professional and EXTREMELY knowledgeable.  Every night they cleaned up the work area before they left.   Tom and Zack came in to our home as contractors but left as friends.   Needless to say, we would recommend them to our family members and friends.
We are on their schedule for our concrete patio project this Spring.   They will also be replacing some of the wood on our screened-in deck.   They will be replacing the screens as well.    I will do another review once this project is complete.

    Schilling
My husband and I find the professionals at Schillings to be knowledgeable and most helpful. They get busy and aren't able to be as prompt as we would like, which is understandable. We will continue to use them for major construction purchases, along with two other hardware suppliers in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Schilling for major renovation/construction projects. But I also would shop prices.

I was a remodel virgin.  I did not know anything about this.  Bob and all of his workers were fantastic to work with and in the work they performed.  Very personal people and trustworthy.  They never made me feel like I was asking dumb questions and always took the extra step in making sure I was happy with all work done. They all went above and beyond what was requested to be done.  I did a lot of shopping around for contractors and am so glad I picked them. As a remodel virgin one thing I will advise is to KNOW WHAT YOU WANT.  Go to your local box stores and see whats out there before you have Bob quote you.  He can only quote you on what you tell him you want.  I thought I was a plain person but once I got out there to see whats available I was surprised.  I didn't know the different tiles, counter tops, edgings and styles of everything.  Bob was always available and responded to all my emails and phone calls.  Workers on time everyday, 7 a.m.  I think they were fantastic to work with and would not hesitate to call them for any contracting work I need.  I am very happy with my remodel and just can't thank them enough.

    AR Construction
The roofing part was great--very good job and the contractor saved us a lot by working with the insurance company to get a settlement for hail damage (that the contractor noticed that we didn't).
The first remodeling project (kitchen) was great--new sink, dishwasher, counter tops, tile backsplash, lighting fixtures. It turned out very nice and the cost was very reasonable--saving on that made the second remodeling project possible.
The second remodeling part had a few glitches--mostly because it was done in the dead of this very hard winter (not a good idea) and because things had to be done in haste and several unforeseen problems came up.
The siding and shed construction went well--it looks great--they did a fine job.
Two minor critiques (just to keep things honest): it took longer than I think it should have to get the trash removed--especially on the winter project--snow and cold complicated that, but still. And trying to get the "punch list" completed was a little slow; a couple of times I just did it myself.
The contractor is very busy (must mean he's in demand--a good thing, right?) so it takes some patience and clear communication.
We have a couple more projects coming up and we will definitely call AR Construction.

Luke Cotton provided us with reasonable estimates and was quite flexible as the projects were modified. His crew is friendly and professional and did an amazing job of installing new tile, cabinetry, and fixtures in two separate bathrooms. They also installed all new door fixtures and new light fixtures throughout our upper level. We will contact them again for additional work.
