I thought I had a problem with the vehicle, he came out take a look and said no you are fine. He didn't even charge me for the inspection! He is also very quick and efficient with his service. I also recently took my friends car in to have the starter replaced. She was happy with the service and hasn't had any problems since. I would highly recommend him!

First he tuned up my vehicle when I brought it in with a transmission problem. He said that would cure the problem. When it didn't I brought it back again. He repaired the transmission but would not refund the money for the tune up which I did not need. He charged me $400 for a tune-up. He charge me for cleaning the air filter but when I showed it to him it was Pitch Black. He just turned around and walked away. They had my car tied up for over two weeks between the two incidences. After I pay the $1,200 on the way home my check engine light came on. Never and I mean never bring your vehicle to this place.

It went ok until I picked up my vehicle. They called and informed me that my transfer case broke. I was very upset I informed them that my transfer case broke before and I can't believe it went out again. They advised me to call that shop to see if it was covered under a warranty. I called and they declined it was over a year. Reeders was very professional and patient with me. They let my car sit in their lot until I decided what I was going to do. They quoted me 996.00 for the repair which included a transfer case with a 12 month warranty, labor, and taxes. I was upset of course having to buy another transfer case but happy to get my car back. When I picked up my car three lights were on that I never saw before; ABS, VDF, traction control and my AWD light. This is where it gets unprofessional and I lost respect for the shop and its workers!!!!!!! I called the shop and talked with Mike, the office manager. I explained to Mike that four lights were ON my dash board and they've never were on before. He stated they were like that when they started to repair the vehicle. I informed him that it was not. There was no lights on prior to my car breaking down. Mike informed me that the ABS had nothing to do with the transfer case. I told him it had to because those lights were not on prior to my car breaking down. Mike explained that they assumed the light were on prior; I asked why didn't they call and ask me if I wanted to know why and Mike said because it was a price restraint. I then snapped and said no im not on a price restraint. He stated I can bring my car in and they can check why the lights are on. I brought my car in and they hooked it up to the computer and gave me the codes. Jak the owner son check me and in out. He explained to me that my anti lock brake, Traction control and awd is not working. They are not communicating to the engine and they would need to run diagnosatics that would cost $88.00 and I would need to make a appointment since the shop is booked all week. Fast forward a month when I have time to leave my car with them again since I travel for work. I drop my vehicle off and they drive me back home. Megan from Reeders calls me to inform me that I need a new ABS sensor and quoted me est. $531.00 for parts and labor. I asked Megan if it had to do with my transfer case breaking she said no. I told her it had to because my sensor wasn't messed up prior to my car breaking down. Megan said that sensors go out and it's no way my transfer case would have costed this. I told her I need to talk this over with my husband. I'm upset about Reeders tellin me these two things have nothing to do and im coming out of pocket for repairs and my time is being wasted because they should have quoted me to fix this back in April when my car was there for a week when they were fixing my transfer case. I call Reeders back and speak with Mike again. I go on and on about how im upset about having to get another repair and how the transfer case had to cause my sensor to go out. I told him I spoke with other places and got a lower quote. Mike stated he'll Look for a cheaper part. Mile calls me back the next day and stated he found a cheaper part. I inform him how im not happy with the service since this should have been done the first time my car came in Mike stated it the transfer case had nothing to do with my ABS sensor. I asked him who's above him and he said Jak; so I ask to speaks to Jak; I asked Jak who's above him; he said his dad I ask to speak to him. He is busy so Jak ask for my contact information. I didnt hear from the owner and asked to speak to him when I went to pick up my car. I asked the owner if I could speak to him in private and he stated no I can talk to him out on the main floor. So I informed him im not happy about the service I reiceved and started to explain what happened, he stated he is familiar with the story. I then stated well my car was half way fixed. He stated no they were commissioned to fix my transfer case I told him no my car was towed because it broke down, I didn't know what needed to be fixed. The owner which is Jak and Mikes father stated they fixed what was suppose to be fixed. He asked me to get to the point of the conversation because they are not going to fix my car for FREE. I looked at him and became very mad; I never asked for a hand out. I'm aware vehicle maintanence is expensive but to assume I can't afford it is down right discrimation. This is why I wanted to talk to him, the owner, because I was offended that Mike told me I was on a price restraint, that's why they didn't offer to check the lights on the dash board the first time. I told the owner this and he said he doesn't believe Mike would say that. I told him to bring Mike out and ask him. I have no reason to lie. He asked me if I wanted them to fix my car and I told him no because your workers have been disrespectful and you are in agreeance with them. I told the owner that the sensor had to break when my transfer case broke and he agreed stating yes when my transfer case broke it locked up my axle that could have affected my sensor. I told him everyone Megan, Mike, and Jak all told me that wasn't possible and I just wanted them to admit to their faults and admit they should have completely fixed my car the first time instead of me having to bring my car in again for Repair. The owner stated they fixed what the vehicle came in for; transfer case. I then yelled and said no my car came in with unknown and your company checked my car and told me what was wrong but only fixed half the problem because now im back having to fix something that wasn't broke prior to the transfer car breaking. He asked me again if I'm paying for them to fix the proble And I said no because he already had his mind made up that my concerns regarding his customer service was not valid. The charged me for running the codes through the computer to fix out what needed to be repaired.

They provided an accurate quote and cost to repair did not exceed the quote. They communicated with me thoroughout the repair process. Very professional and I have recommended their services to many others.

I took the van in to have a gas line repaired on Monday, and told them I would like an estimate and that I didn't want to spend to much on it because it was a work van, they asked if I wanted them to fix it if it wasn't going to be to expensive, I asked what they considered not to expensive, they said 100.00 to 150.00 and I said okay, I had to stop by the shop at the end of the day to find out what was going on. he said they tried to repair the line but could not, and he said they would have to get a new line from the dealer and he would call me the next day with a price, I told him I didn't need the van until the following Monday, well I waited to here from him, and I finally had to call him on Friday, and he said they could not buy a new line and they would have to make one and install it, I asked him how much he would estimate that to cost he said 200.00 to 300.00, I did not have much choice at this point because the line was already torn apart and I would have had to pay them something for trying to fix it but I expected the price to be closer to 200.00 ,when I got it back I looked under the van to see what they did and it looked like they used a rubber fuel hose to replace the old line which is okay , but I don't think it should have cost $347.59. I would suggest you get a written estimate before having them do any work.

I had recently taken my car to my dealership and knew I was in need of new brakes and rotors but it was too expensive.  I had just recently moved and wanted to find a local reliable auto service place anyway.  So, I read reviews on Angie's List and they seemed like a good "neighborhood auto service" which is hard to find.
So, I went to them for my service and it was just as I had expected it to be and read in the reviews.  They reviewed my problem, confirmed my diagnosis and asked if the price was ok, before they continued.  Since it was half of what dealership would be, I said yes.
The job took 2 hours (which I knew it would be since it was not a quick process), but I was able to see them working though the waiting room window and the progress as they went.  The waiting room was nice, with coffee, slushies, lots of reading material and a television. that I could change if I wanted.  They were very helpful and knowledgeable with all customers that came in for help.
I also discovered they had a loyalty program for oil changes and got the card for that as well.
Overall, everyone was very nice.  My brakes are great now and I plan on using them for future work on my vehicle.

I took my truck in to have the brakes done. He noticed that the water pump should be replaced and that it would be $450. I came in the next day to pick it up and it was $872. I authorized the work, but I feel like they could've caught me and said "hey ma'am" this is the actual final price.

I passed that experience along as partially my fault, and decided to take my other vehicle here to repair the brake lines. They ended up doing the brakes without my permission for $700. Also, this job took 5 days where as it only took them 2 days for brakes and a water pump on my truck.

    Glass Doctor of Northwest Indiana
The technician called the night before and said that he would be here first thing in the morning.  He arrived as stated.  He went over the windshield work with me.  He noticed a chip on the body near the windshield which he put a little paint on for me.  He also moved the vehicle id number so that it is easier to read.  He was professional, courteous and did a wonderful job.  He even was courteous of my dog as she barked the entire time he was here.

    Gill's Auto Repair
I have owned 2 cabs, 5 limos, and a bus, so I have had a lot of experience with shops. Gill's is one of the best. Wish I would have found them years ago. They put in a new engine in my bus, took only 5 days. This was a 10 cylinder in a van chassis, so it was a difficult and time consuming process. I have been to them 4 more times after that, and they have always found + fixed the problems, never overcharged me, and I have had a good experience each time.
