Tire Buying And Repair reviews in Plainfield

I waited while the service was completed. I was less than a mile from the store, when as I pulled away from a stoplight, I felt the back of my truck slip. I pulled over immediately, and the left rear wheel was nearly off the studs. There were NO lug nuts on the rim at all. I immediately called the store and told them what happened. They said "Well can you just limp it back to the shop?" I told them of course not!!! They called a tow truck, and the wheel was so close to being off, that we had to jack up my truck to push it back on so it could be towed, and had to take lug nuts from my other rims. When we got back to the shop, they said there was nothing they could do about it today, because they were about to close. I asked if they had torqued the lug nuts to spec. Their reply was they didn't have a torque wrench so they had put them back on with an impact wrench. They told me the guy who had the torque wrench wasn't working that day and wouldn't be in until tomorrow. The rim was ruined, and the studs were stripped. It took them 2 days to get the parts to do the repair. In the meantime, they gave me their older truck to drive. When I returned to get my truck, I was not offered a discount or to refund my money. They didn't even give me my money back for gas I had to put in their truck! They would not give me back the damaged rim, studs or lug nuts that I asked to keep. Since I thought it was a Goodyear store, iI called Goodyear corporate, but was told that Goodyear doesn't stand behind this dealer, they only stand behind their tires. Goodyear said they have nothing to do with the operation or service of that shop. The shop was just authorized to sell Goodyear tires. I went to this location because the signage indicated it was a Goodyear shop, therefore I assumed it was reputable. The shop did fix the problem, but what "tire shop" doesn't have a torque wrench, or at least tell a customer they cannot do a rotate and balance until the following day when they do have one? Additionally, when lug nuts are put on with a torque wrench and are torqued too tight, my rotors could have been damaged! Is this just a ploy to make customers return a few months later so they have to replace the rotors?? Thank God my wife and I weren't out on the interstate when the wheel came off, or I hate to think of what could have happened!!

Campfield's Auto Repair is a great auto repair shop. I have been taking my vehicles to Dave Campfield for many years and they have never let me down. It is priceless to have such a trustworthy and skillful mechanic in town. I continue to recommend him to all my friends and family.

I've used Big O Tires in other cities and have always had a good experience. Not so this time.
Very unprofessional staff answering the phone. He wrote my phone number down incorrectly, so they never called me back. He took down my credit card information incorrectly over the phone, so he had to call back much later in the day.
MAJOR ISSUE: I asked them to check my brakes because I knew there was a problem with them. Additionally, checking brake fluid is part of their oil change checklist. However, I left there with the same issue (no push back in the brakes, like pressing against metal) and no comment on the receipt about checking the brakes or adding fluid.
A week later, my wife was driving with her mom and our kids in this same car. She came to a red light and couldn't stop! She was going slowly enough that she could turn the corner, and fortunately no one was coming. It slowed her down enough so she could pull into a gas station.
I had the car towed to another service station, and he told me right away there was no brake fluid in the master brake cylinder and that there was a crack causing the leak. He changed it out, and that solved the problem.
If it was just the un-professionalism of this one employee, I could overlook it. However, they didn't check my brake fluid, and it is part of their oil change check list. That failure could have had severe consequences for me and my family.

We have purchased tires from several Discount Tire locations over the years. We recently bought a new car and had to buy a new tire. A few days later, the tire was flat again. The tire valve was bad and had a slow leak. They apologized, got me right in, and fixed the problem for no charge. On another occasion shortly after that,  I was experiencing skidding on wed roads with the same car and thought the tires needed to be replaced. The technician looked at them and said he didn't think they needed replaced. However, if I still experienced problems, he'd give me some credit for the tires if I bought new ones. I previously drove an SUV which was heavier and he thought that maybe that was the problem. They treated me with respect and courtesy.

It went well. We were out if town for Labor Day weekend and for some reason when we returned my husbands car in the garage looked like the tires were flat. Very fray grating to come home to! We decided that we were due to get the tires rotated anyways, so went in to discount tire because that's where we purchased the tires from. Rotations are free. Fortunately for us on this visit there was not a single thing wrong with the tires and we were happy to hear!

I received some online coupons from Tires plus for the oil change and wiper blades. I needed new tires so went to get all three things done at one time. I was able to select the tires that I wanted and schedule an appointment online. After I set the appointment, I was able to go earlier so I called and they advised me to come on in. When I arrived they were very professional and walked me through the cost and even accepted both coupons that I had.
I waited for my vehicle to be fixed and while I was there I saw several other customers come in and speak with the representative behind the counter. He was very helpful to each and every person that came in. One of the customers was and quot;challengingand quot; but the rep kept his cool and answered their questions very calmly.
I have taken my car here before and my son has as well, we will continue to visit this location and would recommend it to others.

I came in, without an appointment, just before New Year's eve, needing tires, oil change and routine check up before a long trip. The gentleman at the counter did not bat an eye. He helped me pick out a set of tires for my truck, gave me an estimate and told me when it would be ready. He even helped me with a rebate! The truck was ready on time, the estimate was accurate and the new tires are great, even in the snow! I certainly will go back again and again!

I have taken several of my vehicles in to Tom and John at Mooresville Auto and Tire over the past several months with a variety of issues. They are always prompt in evaluating the issue and contacting me with an estimate. I have purchased tires from them and felt their prices were competitive with the Tire Discount stores. I felt much more comfortable having a full service Automotive Center installing the tires versus a tire only store. They seem to get it fixed the first time. On the rare occasion there is an ongoing issue they keep working with the vehicle until they get it right. I most appreciate the timeliness of their service. I have never had to do without my car for more than 24 hours, and they work on Saturday.

Have used Tires Plus for many years (not just recent visit). We have always found them to be fair, courteous, and attentive to our needs. They have given us discounts when available, and searched for tires that have been better suited or priced than what they had in the store. Additionally, the Tires Plus card has 6mo no interest on larger expenses, which helps fit repairs into budget. We have two older cars over 100000 miles, that never fail to surprise us with little difficulties.

After finding tires I wanted at the Discount Tire web site, I printed the info and took it to the dealer. They did not have the tires in stock, but promised the next day. They also honored a local 10% off coupon I brought. The tires took an extra day to arrive. The dealer called, an appointment was made for installation. At the appointed time they got the car in and I was on my way in 30 minutes.
