The owner Dave Tarrance was one of five companies that gave us estimates. Crawlspace Doctor had the best price for the work we wanted done. Dave listened to all our concerns about our crawlspace and offered solutions to help us resolve the issues. During the work he stopped in personally to keep us updated on the progress of the job, which took five days. His crew was very polite and disposed of all debris (old insulation) each night.

They did a fantastic job.  The basement has been dry ever since.  And we've had a lot of rain lately.  Before the job was completed the owner came and helped us squeegee water.  This company did work at my Mother's house about 15 years ago and she's been dry this whole time.

Went very well, five steps were lifted to original position except for a 1.5" gap at wall. It was explained why that was expected before process began. Total time was 1.5 hours and clean up was thorough. I was well satisfied with overall job and price.

Todd came out to look at our tri-level home which had water coming into basement from crawl space during heavy rains. He told me why water had started coming in after years of a dry basement and explained a solution involving a new sump pump pit and geo-channels to correct the problem.  Jorge and Armando, the technicians, arrived when expected. They were very polite and after I showed them the opening to the crawl space they immediately put down drop clothes to protect my floors.  They went straight to work digging and installing a new sump pump pit with a new sump pump, backup pump and battery backup.  They consulted with me on placement of the pit and where I wanted the water to drain.  They then installed a geo channel to channel water that had come in under the crawl space to the new pit.  They completely cleaned up after the job.  Both technicians were friendly, professional and exceptionally accepting of my puppy who, being a puppy, could be annoying.  I am very happy with the procedures and look forward to a dry basement this year.

Tough to get ahold of them to get someone out here.  They came out.  Surveyed the property and recommended an multi thousand dollar fix.   Seems wierd to have paid $50 for a quote.

Due to a couple of family emergencies the work done in June had already been pushed back from late March.  June was their first available opening at that point.  I had expected and had a date of June 3 in my calendar and called to ask where the workmen were on that date.  Our wires were crossed and they had me for the 4th.  This was a problem as a family member had passed away and I had to be out of state for the funeral on the date in question.  I simply could not wait another 6 weeks to get another date to get the work done as I am selling my home.  As a result, I reluctantly agreed to have the work done while I was out of town.
I left a very detailed letter for the workers taped to the door of my home detailing specific items of concern (such as the hand trimming of a holly bush, the fact that I only wanted dead areas of a rose bush trimmed and nothing else).  Unfortunately this was not given proper attention so there were a few issues when I got home.  Brick and Bloom knew I would be gone and I had the email of someone there as a contact to resolve any issues so I used that email and sent a note.
All of my concerns and issues were resolved immediately by Shellie and Brad.  The work that wasn't quite done in the back was taken care of, the Holly was trimmed again (this time by hand and properly with angle cuts to ensure it wouldn't die), and the rose bush had the dead areas removed (though it had been over pruned and no longer had any flowers on display when pictures were taken of my house for MLS).  Honestly, given the complexity of the landscaping at my home I had expected to see more problems when I wasn't available to respond to questions of workmen.  The fact that they arrived within 48 hours to finish everything to my satisfaction went a long way.  And I was also able to get my invoice sent electronically and pay it online with no fuss when we were all happy with the job.  The quote was very competitive and I would call them again for an estimate if I needed additional work (but I shouldn't since I'm moving out of state).

It was good. I talked with the owner and I've had him come out because I actually had several issues with them. I was very dissatisfied with their follow up after taking money down and not contacting me to schedule the work. I had to initiate 3 calls to get them to call me. They required a third of the money down which I understand is really standard for that franchise, but that's not typically how I do business. I paid them and we had agreed that we would start work the first of October and they let an entire week go by. I called them on Friday at quarter to 5 and asked them what's going on. They said they were behind. I said, "Pick up the phone and tell somebody that. I was expecting you to be here." He said he was a week behind and I told him he will be calling me the next Friday to let me know they are going to start. He never called the following Friday. I called him again at quarter to 5 on Friday and asked, "Where's my call?" He said they were still a week behind. At that point, I asked to talk to the owner and I did talk to him. He came out here. Everything got resolved, but there were a lot of little issues that I was not very happy with. I was told the work will take 2 days and it ended up with 3. After they got here all the job, they told me it was going to be more, like 4, and that was unacceptable. That was another issue that we had. They did some other things too like they tore out my crawlspace window well which was perfectly good. It was made out of steel and replaced it with a plastic thing, which wasn't in the scope of work. We never talked about that. The workers said that it was leaking water down. It has never leaked water. That crawlspace was bone dry. There has never been any water in that so it was just bogus. It was just something they didn't communicate with their people. I was okay after I talked to the owner but I really don't know if I would recommend them to anybody. I just don't feel good about it. They showed up on time but they never called for 3 weeks, I had to call him. I think they did good work but when they are not calling their customer and let us know stuff especially when I have to call them to schedule work that I have already paid for and I asked them to call me a week later and at quarter to 5 the following week I had to call them again and ask when they are going to call me.

I explained I just wanted the minimum done to get the plumbing working again (meaning a repair, not a replacement). I am a single mom with 3 kids; I was laid off from my job in February and have just started working again recently and have not had a chance to put any money into savings yet, so I couldn't afford the $2500.00 up front. I asked if there was a way to make payment arrangements and the tech said he'd talk to the owners and would try to work something out. He left and I didn't hear anything back until the next afternoon when I texted his cell phone to ask if he had talked to the owners, and he said not yet. This went on for a week, and finally he responded with "Call the main office and ask." I called and was told they do not do payment arrangements. I am fine with that if that is their policy, but why couldn't the tech just tell me that the same day he came to the house? I started calling around to other plumbers, and they had the same no-payments policy, but they told me this up-front right away. Someone suggested I hire an excavator separately to dig the hole, and then have a licensed plumber do the repair, as I could save money that way. It took me 2 weeks to save up enough money to pay someone for the excavation. I had the hole dug, and guess what? NOTHING WAS BROKEN. I called Service Plus back, and asked them if they could please check their notes and come out to mark exactly where the tech claimed the break was, or at least tell me how far from the clean-out the break was exactly, thinking it might have been further under the house than initially thought. Service Plus refused because I was not hiring them to do the rest of the work. I was simply asking them to give me the information from the time they were already out to the house. They told me they would not be doing anything else. On Nov 21, after an entire month with no plumbing, I had a plumber come out and he ran an auger with a cutter through my sewer line and the problem was fixed in less than an hour.
If Service Plus had not told me my 9 year old PVC piping was broken, I would have had enough money to have my line cleaned out right away. But because I was told I needed the yard excavated, I had to save up for 2 weeks to have enough to have the hole dug, then save up another 2 weeks to have enough for the plumber to come out. I still have no idea why the tech claimed my line was broken, or why he didn't attempt to run a cutter through it in the first place (I would have had enough to pay for that if he had done it that day).

This caused me significant stress considering I have 3 kids and had to drive them somewhere every time someone needed to use the restroom. I had to leave my job, drive 30 minutes home to take the kids for a bathroom break (school Fall break was during this time), then drive 30 minutes back to work every day. We had a run of some kind of stomach virus during this time, and I had to make over 10 bathroom trips a day for an entire weekend. I wasted a lot of money on gasoline, an unnecessary excavation, a second plumber, having to wash clothes at a laundry mat for myself and 3 kids for a month, and I had to pay for a membership at the YMCA so that we could have a place to shower daily (we have no family here). I had company come from out of town that had already planned their trip, but had not budgeted for a hotel because they were supposed to be staying at my house. They stayed at the house, but it was embarrassing to have to take them places to go to the restroom and use guest passes for them to shower at the YMCA. I had to go to food pantries several times for food because all my grocery money was used on gas and laundry. We had to eat microwave food for the month because without being able to wash dishes, we couldn?t cook.
This entire ordeal could have been prevented with an accurate diagnosis of my plumbing problem. I will never use Service Plus again.

They did not do the one thing that I asked which was tell me which walls I could move in my basement. They also required me to drive 45 minutes for a 10 minute presentation of what they came up with. They claimed that they needed me at the showroom to show me materials which they did not.  They were very rude when I asked if they could do a conference call instead of an in person visit due to my work schedule and the fact that it was so far.  I would never recommend them to work with anyone I know.

work will be started soon.    first contact was with Marty Manzier and he was very nice and also informative. I hope that the rest of the staff is as nice.  I have heard that they are and am looking forward to meeting them.  I am an elderly lady and depend on the honesty of others and felt that Marty was very honest with me.
